I remember my first encounter with this thing. I was comfortably AFK outclimbing everything in the Spit Mk24 and suddenly like an angel of death from 2x the altitude this thing swooped in and completely destroyed me in a few shots.

It's actually even better - it compresses based on mach number, so higher the alt, the sooner it compresses. But as you mentioned, props can't do anything against this plane and it should have never been added to the game IMO.

@@Faden47 100% agree. Seriously, once it decides to stick to you, there's nothing you can do, if he throttles down - you'll never be able to outmaneuver him, if he throttles up - you're never catching him. It's like a Zero with a rocket engine and a bit less ammo for the cannons.
Can't even be strafed because of AF AAA and J-out immunity trick.
Lets just say its a good thing this is a rare event plane...if you'd actually see these regularly in matches anything from 5.7 on would just be unplayable, because if the guy playing it actually has hands its just asscancer to deal with.

That's what always happens, I had my Mexas and F11 grinded, but as they weren't a premiums I sold the straight ahead for like 60-70$ (this amount for both of them) and now one of them is forth more than that

I don't play that BR range too much anymore, but I remember fighting one of these friggen things once in a starter jet, can't remember which one anymore.
It felt like I was in an Ace Combat boss fight. Nigh impossible to get a shot at one of these things when they're in semi-capable hands.

Well i mean It does have a lot to do with stupid SMT players remembering they dont accelerate great, dumping their speed, and dying having killed nothing.
I do this in the 163 as well and the hillarious part is that this works even at 8.7

I hate this thing so much. I’ve run into maybe five, and they’re unkillable. I looked up the win rate for it after the last time, and I think it was 98%.
Because almost no one has it, those who do have patience. I kill helis with it at top tier
the only thing you can do against a BI is diving/flying faster than 650-700 kph cuz of terminal compression...
but it isn't really easy to pull this off in a prop plane

(Or use a very turny plane and try to play with the BI until it's drained of fuel)

I've been desperate for some BI content lately since I discovered my love for it (sat in my tech tree untouched for years), so many good youtubers said it was one of their favourite planes and completely OP but then proceeded to never make a gameplay video on it. Thanks for the half hour of BI massacre!
This thing is horrible to face in a match ,only tactic ive tried that seems to work is to run, and when it chases you down go into a rolling scissor and hope it overshoots and pulls up to circle around then you gun it and try to run again. Rinse and repeat until either the BI runs outta ammo or fuel…
as a BI pilot, i can confirm that this is a pretty good technique, also sometimes when i see a diving plane i'll just pull off cuz i'm just scared of commiting to the dive and ending up with terminal compression and crashing into the ground/pulling my wings off
As another Bi pilot, I’ll dive below ur altitude to cross my guns on you
this plane is another reason why gaijin should consider the variable "potency" instead of general player statistics. all players with above average rating(good, excellent, outstanding) should have bigger impact in determining BR.
How about outstanding gets 35%, excellent gets 25%, good gets 20%, and the rest of the players only counts as another 20%
it pains me when a vehicle goes down in BR because of brain-dead below average players not knowing how to use it

@@Miles26545 P-47d-28, P-51H, F2G. The US late props are the best in the game, and the Ju 288c exists, but somehow I'm 5:1 in the Ta 152H. And I'm not a great player.

You gotta give some credit to that J6K pilot at the beginning. I, who consider myself a quite good japanese main, wouldn't have lasted that long against such an enemy.
I remember the first (and this far, the only) one of these I found in a match was when I was still grinding the mods for the Kikka. He was the last player on the enemy team. I tried going against him, just to be killed like 15 seconds afterward. I can justify by saying that I never knew that such a plane was in the game, I didn't know about it's existance until that moment
so glad i got this thing instead of the merkava, on console accounts you cant use mp, but back in the day when shvaks shot paint bullets the ammo capacity really limited this plane, now its extremely good

Hey defyn is there any chance you make a video on the f86-f40? Its not a particularly good plane but if you played enough sabers you can kinda grasp its playstyle even at 10.3
What belts do you use in the BI? The Shvaks feel extremely underwhelming so far, hell even against a test flight F86 it took 50 hits to the fuselage to kill it. Using tracer belts currently due to people saying F-IT ammunition being the best (but it honestly doesn't feel like it)

At game 2.. when people miss 1 slow plane for 5 minutes straight, you get called killsteal when killing it no matter how dire your team situation was and tk is what you will got..
good thing wit chat disabled the frequency of tk got reduced.. but i cant command some attacker to go ground pound when its necessary and lose instead..

For me the only real limitation of this plane is not the ammo or fuel it's the terrible lockup. My aim is worse too, I cannot reliably get 4 without running out of ammo, and sometimes just miss over and over.
The fuel consumption "bug" is kinda funny to me, because they based it off a model that works well for jets, where the consumption is a quadratic function of the thrust plus a constant idle consumption. Problem here is the idle consumption for a rocket plane is zero, so this model just doesn't make sense (it means the efficiency of the engine is inversely proportional to the throttle).
Also it's been a while since it struck me how honest you are in situations where "you may very well have died", when a lot of other people don't even talk about it. Hearing them it sounds like they make no mistakes in the footage they show but well, it's always nice when people don't do that :)

Can you do all air to air missiles ranking, which of them are identical (aim 9j and P for example, or shafrir and aim9b) which are more consistent or easily distracted so it is easier for new pilots like me, because there are alot of variants of missiles, but some of them have identical stats and stuff, thank you

They should change the AA to just do small amounts of AOE damage, but not kill you out right. Basically if you go through a cloud of AA because you hate your life, it should turn your plane red all over, leak every possible liquid, but still not kill you, just cripple you so you are then an easy mark for the enemy and you thus get punished

You have the Bias-6 (IS-6) in ground and the BIAS-1 (BI) which is this.

It's almost like the thrust of this jet is modeled like a prop, it gets more thrust at low speed.
Because it's not a jet, it's a rocket. It can produce max thrust at any speed
@@owen3514 I think you might be confused as what I mean.
Propellers increase in thrust as speed decreases (until if a prop stall condition occurs), while rocket thrust is almost linear and decreases only by a fraction of the vehicle speed to the eflux velocity.
Im not saying it's completely wrong, but for the portion of fuel cosumed, this rocket produces way too much thrust. The decreased throttle is apparent at high speeds but not so much when manuvering under 400kmh

What belts do you use on the ShVaks? I tend to use armoured targets, but I'm not sure if the other belts are better.
Tracers have full FI-T which is basically High Explosive. These either set planes on fire or break them.
Armored Targets are meant for Tanks, not planes. They have high pen AP rounds which go right through planes causing minimal damage.

Try and test the AP-I and FI-T in your hangar. You'll see the damage difference.

One thing I realised thanks to you was that 20 mm guns and higher are more devastating when their belts are explosion focused, as opposed to incendiary focused, like I previously believed. My mentality towards AP-I rounds hasn't changed for 12.7 mm guns and lower, though

Can you fly the Tempest Mk II? I'm having so much fun with 5.7/6.0 super props (best bracket in WT in my opinion) but the Tempest Mk. II is a little harder, there's a huge lack of information on this plane.
I noticed the engine performs better low, it has good acceleration and energy retention but I'm not sure how to fly it, it feels outdated compared to other super props.
It is bad against USA.
Good against everything else, very fast and good climb. And yes it is a low alt plane 0-4km

It's not a bug the fuel lasting so long, the fuel consumption of rockets is linear depending on throttle unlike jet or piston aircraft

How can I turn the camera to look back in PS4 ?
Go to controls-> Aircraft-> Camera Control. Then set bindings for view in battle- Air for x axis and y axis ( I have mine set to down on the d pad for activation and right stick up/down for Y and right stick left/right for X). There is also an option specifically for looking back in the same category called “look back” which I have set to r3.
