Getting 5 kills per match in ARB is insane. Getting 5 kills per match in GRB, that's far more realistic, difficult but doable. Congrats on nearing 50K subs Defyn.
i dont know if im good or just lucky, during like the mid days of using the squadron 262 fully spaded, i got 5,4,3 kill games in a row like literally. i slept happy and the next day, all shit games - lost all my sl and now i can no longer get 3+ kills.
@@goldfishPACIFIER If you can no longer achieve 3-5 kill games, it was probably luck. I had the same thing with the Bradley when I first unlocked it. Got 4 (hardly a test sample) five kill matches and didn't die even though I was very aggressive with my strategy (got hilly maps like Mozdok, Fields of Normandy and Kursk). The next day, I played like 8 games and got an average of like 1 kill per match with my Bradley. It was soul crushing to do so well and then do so poorly.
Only one guy according to the leaderboards averages over 5 a game in GRB. He spammed the Chi-Ha Kai like 100 times to do it
A couple days ago I did about 6 matches in the G91 R3. In 3 of them I got 4 kills in the other 3 I got 0 kills.

Warthunder exists in this really weird space for me where I'm either 100% on my game churning out 5-6-7 kill games (Ground RB) or I'll just have the polar opposite where I can go an entire day where I barely manage to scrape an average of two kills a game across an entire lineup.
Really loving the mig 28 in this game really nice to have some historic matches against the f14.

I love this plane so much, is so good that if you are paying attention and have your flares ready you can engage half the enemy team.
And the canons dont make talk about the canons, you vaguely point them in one direction and anything there ceases to exist.

@@Minigun_-nj1tf Is not just your skill, with the F-5 you need to keep your sped above 1000 km/h. The problem with the F-5C is that it was hited really hard by the real shatter, its a plane that rely mainly on its guns to get kills and it only works with the air targets belt that it was heavily nerfed due to real shatter, on top of this several better plaanes have been released around the F-5C Br but still you have an amazing airframe so you can make it work with practice. Also you have to keep in mind that you are playing a plane that has fallen out of the meta so there some experience that will have to accquire to still maike it perform well.

Finally a cc that is telling it how it is withheld vehichle. Its an absolute ace maker and punches far above its weight consistently. It has a decent amount of flares at 60, it keeps its energy at high speed remarkably well, the guns are fantastic, the sustained turn rate is unmatched. I find myself time and time again returning to this baby to have some fun

the biggest disadvantage compared to the E is the lack of engine power, the E has like 50% more engine power than the C, and you really feel it with low speed acceleration and energy retention.

holy cow almsot 50k, i started watching around 26k i think and that wasnt that long ago. well deserved growth
After the FGA 9 got boned by the addition of a million premium MiG 21s, I'm glad I went to this as my new top tier jet grinder. Flares, energy retention, lots of ammo, good guns, busted damage/flight model, good flaps, and a premium bonus on top. I've gotten more ace matches in this thing than every other plane combined, and half of them were in full uptiers. It just feels like I can rely solely on my instincts and not really have to think too much when I fly it, which made the summer event grind a lot more bearable, not to mention I'm no longer broke on SL. I like the F5E as well, but the matchmaker on this which doesn't force you into top tier radar/all-aspect clusterfucks is worth that engine power and those missiles.
A great premium bonus at that. Plus if you want to use it in higher tier ground rb you can with how many loadouts it has
While I did appreciate the video, I have personally been struggling in dogfights against other F-5Cs so I would've loved to see that, but overall a good video!!

Ive only been able to fly this plane in Test flight and i am starting to fall in love with it. It looks beautiful and flies great. Its the only vehicle that i can take out all of the vehicles in test drive with minimum fuel and just enough to kill the Tank.

I'm actually going to get one of these to grind the remaining half of the American Air Tree this month. I've had an account since the game launched and have been playing regularly for at least 6 months to a year and have the A4-E Early as my first jet which took a long time to grind out.

I bought this when it was on sale for Xbox and glad to get it BUT i made the choice to NOT jump into the 10.3 until i had someone to teach me how to fly this thing. highest tank i got is the MBT-70 with my XM-1 Chrysler and think it would be better to not jump into 10.3+ until i either got the HSTV-L or the M1. Love to see a tutorial for flying jets like this and easing into higher BR jets and whatnot.
Skipping into tier 6 is a horrible choice for anyone. Each tier has lessons for the player to learn that can be carried on to the very top. I'm glad you have that mentality of actually trying to learn a bit before jumping into top tier, because most people don't...

I'm sure it's great for Air RB but I only get jets that make sense to play in sim EC.
Supersonic jet that falls into EC[7] with 2x AIM-9E and no radar won't do very well, or be very fun to fly.
I used to think I was a shit pilot flying my a5c cause I could never dogfight and aim, but after understanding jet fighting a bit more from your videos and finally getting a premium that's good at dogfighting (F5C) I breezed through the American naval air line in about a week's time. This jet is absolutely insane.
The A-5C is also a very good dogfighter, not far inferior to the F-5C in this aspect, but requires significantly more experience from the player.
the f-5c is absolutely busted. UFO flight model with flares + godlike guns and ok missles at 10.3.

What I do in this thing is carry the most bombs possible two air to air missiles take out a base then push further behind and pick off unaware a-10's it pays very handsomely sl wise as well

While grinding the Tomcat I got what I like to think is very good on the F5C, at times I was getting constant 4-5 kill matches and clutching 1v2s

@@Bobspineable at the risk of offending you but have you ever faced people like him in-game. Last time I checked DEFYN was like number 300 on the AirRB leaderboard. And yes, I know stats like K/D can be easily boosted by playing at lower BRs, but your place on the leaderboard can't, since it takes into account your level and the BR of the vehicle you are using as opposed to the level and the BR of the vehicle that the enemy is using. So killing lower level players and/or lower BR vehicles does not get you far. I've faced DEFYN and others like him in-game and let me tell you, it's no fun, hell, it's not even a fight when there are like 29700 people between you and him in skill. Just recently as last Sunday I had the "pleasure" of facing a dude in GroundRB that was like number 5000, and he singlehandedly wiped me and my entire team, in a fucking SPAA. Granted I pretty much hate GroundRB, but still. So yeah, I do belive he is that good.
Is this still worth getting now thats its more expensive but gone up to t7? Just thinking of anniversary sales coming up.
I love how 1.0-8.0 contains planes from the late 30s to the late 40s; a 10-12ish year spread for 8.0 BR. Then 8.0-11.3 is the next 70 years of fighter aircraft advancement crammed into a 4.3 BR spread. This is why top tier is so fucked right now.
This jet is great in Ground RB for dodging SAMs.
When you see a launch coming at you, full elevator and rudder to roll the aircraft. The missile can't follow. Works a treat everytime and the 50mm pen armoured belt deals with SPAA with ease.
Just imagine what the F 15, F 16 and F/A 18s will be like...
I would have to say this isn’t the most beginner friendly plane (not that any jets really are) but its not a fire and forget since the missiles aren’t that great.
To fight these can sometimes be like swatting flies with a chopstick. Swarms of them and difficult to hit......

Even the IL-10 (either one), both of those absolutely slap and for some reason most people dont know how to fight them. The Su-6 with 23's equipped preforms better in some situations too.
Even I, being as shit as I am, can regularly get 2-4 kills a match in ARB with the IL-10 just climbing and turn fighting. I think people underestimate how well they ILs preform at speeds lower than their stall.

I've noticed that maybe 1 in every 30 pilots I fight in the Su-6 or IL-10, despite being 4.7-5.3 respectively, actually have the concept of just pulling up and circling above me.
About everybody tries to turn fight me, and the ones that dont are almost always in heavy fighters or attackers which will preform closely enough to me that I can use flaps and pull hard to use my low stall speed to just smack them from upwards of 1km away just due to how big they are and their slow reaction time.
I'd say most all of my deaths are to being ganged up on by fighters or pilot/engine snipes in a head on. When any fighter should be able to drastically out preform me fairly easily if they didnt just let me pull them for energy.
This plane is like peas and carrots 🥕 😀. I highly recommend getting it!

I found it ridiculous that a few times people have tried to shut me down in debates about tactics and what to do with the phrase "Well, if you're so good, then why aren't you getting 4 kills per game on average". Bruh, if a god like that can even exist, they may as well never die ever for the rest of their time on this game. That is a completely unrealistic metric to gage someone off of.
I once managed to shoot down 7 planes (no AI) in one battle with an F-5C. I fell in love that day.

I bought this to grind to the a-10 late for ground battles as primarily a ground player and holy shit I am miserable. Dogfighting is so fucking difficult, even if I get behind someone with these awesome cannons I just whiff all my shots. Feels like I should just be suicide bombing bases with this instead, I don't know what I'm doing and none of the videos I watch to learn it never seems to click.
So am i missing something with my controls? When i look behind my plane, the instructor keeps fighting me, but Defyn makes it look so smooth. Is there an option i do not have enabled or something?

Hey Defyn, you've probably gone over this subject a few times but was unable to locate a video discussing it...what control type are you using? I know mouse for camera is suggested instead of mouse control but only using a keyboard for flight inputs doesn't seem ideal either. Please let me know if you're using a HOTAS or a controller, etc. Thank you!

the thing about this jet is that despite it doesn't lose much speed it's still great in one circle fights for some reason
It’s the instantaneous response, gives the opponent less time to react to your maneuvers. It also bleeds speed fairly well below Mach .9, so you might be engaging in a lot of high speed fights.

As an F-5C Main…. thank you man. I‘d love to play the F-5E but it‘s just tooo expensive, by now I‘ve managed to adapt to 11.3 BR so it‘s not as bad.
I love the F-5, when it first came out the J's were good and the 5e was FANTASTIC now it's kinda mid sadly.
@@ACEOFB7R I‘ve always loved the F-5E. We have them in our country as an aerobatic Squadron called „Patrouille Suisse“.
In Game the F-5E is actually really good, maybe I say that because I‘m used to the F-5C so much. But it‘s not like an entire World better, it‘s marginally better and that just simply doesn‘t make up for the insane Rep cost.
So I stick with the F-5C, and god knows how long I was waiting for Defyn to make a Video on this plane.. just to see if I was doing it right and turns out I was. All F-5s are amazing, you just have to adapt to it‘s weakness and you‘ll be fine

@@diabolicwave7238 They do fit the F-5E really well don't they? We also had them in Air Service for quite some time, until they got replaced by the F/A 18 Super Hornets. The plane looks clean in the simplistic Swiss Grey Camo, but also in the Patrouille Suisse skin. Lovely aircraft, and a rare sight here nowadays unfortunately.
