I was "closelined" from behind by a tall man . I went to a great chiropractor for 2 ys. So no more neck pain. But what really hurt the worst was the swelling and bleeding in my brain. 4 ys. agony. My whole body was swollen. I couldn't concentrate and overwhelmed.. I didn't take anything so I would know when I felt better. When I healed I quit smoking cigs. Maybe because I was grateful.
Am I correct dr. that taking OPCs daily such as Grapeseed extract, Maritime Pine Bark Extract can clean the oxidation in the brain?. Did Anti aging research find they go through the blood brain barrier? I've been taking 300 mgs a day since 1995. Could this be why I heal my brain?
Ive had 3 TBIs actually and they take time to heal, but its possible. I'm 69, 135 lbs. Still work 2 jobs. Thank you.

Two types of food that damages our brain:
    1. Refined carbohydrates
    2. Seed oils
If you have a brain disease or mood disorder, go Keto or carnivore. ❤

@@SweetKingTanner People that cook with olive oil may not realize it has a low smoke point, meaning it turns into TRANS FAT when cooking at high temperatures. Hence, always pour olive oil into salads, toppings, etc. and cook with macadamia, avocado, or coconut oil.
She is referring to the overly-processed cooking oils. The manufacturing these oils go through before packaging is what makes them so dangerous.

    • @jg5755
      @jg5755 9 місяців тому +15

@@SweetKingTanner Olive oil can be diluted with seed oils, and it doesn't even have to say so on the bottle. So choose brands carefully and choose cold pressed olive oil. Don't use it to cook with. Coconuts are a fruit. Just be aware the types of fats in these oils isn't the same as animal based fats. We do need some animal based fats included in our diets.

Yes but it’s actually more so due to NOT eating the wrong/harmful foods…rather than eating the “right foods”. I’ve learned this concept throughout the years. Yes, there definitely are very healthy foods (namely animal products),…but if we only just stay away from all the bad stuff (refined carbs/seed oils, sugars, processed foods etc),…that in and of itself does the trick!

I’ve been doing a ketogenic diet after reading Dr. Ede’s book. I must of went too fast because the first month was horrible. I cried all the time for no reason. Once that first month passed I started to feel much better. I’m trying this for anxiety and that constant uneasiness that I always had had has completely left. I’m starting to sleep much better now. I am now off two medications. If I eat fruit, I always eat it with fat and protein and I don’t experience any problems. I eat two meals a day and refrain from having caffeine except occasionally. Grass fed butter in my decaf coffee is heavenly and takes the place of any sweet treats I used to have.

This is a very good presentation, it opened my mind to ketosis. For long time I thought that only carnivores can enter ketosis.
What I got from it is that anyone indifferent of the diet can enter ketosis and that one doesn't need to be in ketosis all the time. So not only carnivore can experience ketosis, they do by eating, while those on plant based diet by fasting and exercising.
The intermitent fasting like 18 hours fasting everyday and exercises before the first meal of the day allow one even on a plant based diet to obtain the benefit of ketosis.
The anti nutrients in plants can be resolved by soaking all the grains for 24 to 48 hours to start the sprouting and then dry them and make flours.
With the nuts and lentils and beans the same process of soaking in water about 12 hours before cooking applies.
The rest of geen leafy and veggies plants I don't know to have anti nutrients so much as to do this work of soaking prior to consumtion. The substances which the plants make to protect themselves are for us medicine.
We really do meant to eat starch because beside fiber the starch, in particular resistant starch, feeds the microbiota, but I think starch from cereal and tubers should be only 30% from all the foods we consume. The beans and lentils have some starch mostly resistant starch from which we should eat 20%. Some of the veggies have starches too. On a plant based diet we should eat veggies 50% of all intake of food.
And whatever one eats, should stay away from refined foods of any kind especially refined sugar, carbs and oils.
I like that she called alcohol a drug.

Major takeaway is your body and brain will work better when you have consistently low glucose and insulin. You don't have to concern yourself about ketosis, just pay close attention to carb quality and quantity, and closer attention to quality of fat. FYI, calamari (squid) oil has DHA to EPA of 10:1. Fish oil is 4:6 DHA to EPA. Build strong brains!

I find it interesting that she says that Vegan's don't get all the nutrients needed in their diets & need to supplement. She also talks about making sure we are feeding & taking care of the animals well so when people eat the animals they are getting proper nutrition. Well, why don't we just eat what the animal eats instead of eating the animals trying to get the nutrients second hand? That would be conscientious eating at its highest level, wouldn't it? I really liked a lot of what she has to say and plan on reading her book.

My parents didn’t eat healthy , basically ate what their parents ate before them, generations of what they thought was healthy, my entire immediate family has had one mood disorder after another, father chronic depression , my mom moody all my life , flying off the handle as kids, my brothers have younger is worse , he had to move away from home because he was so bad , severe anger issues, I myself moody, anxiety since a child, the last decade ocd , paranoia, depression up and down , ptsd , C - ptsd , PMS ,PMDD, anxiety since childhood, I am now 39 years old almost 40…..intruding thoughts 💭 for years now thoughts I don’t want to be thinking about and aren’t me, bewilder for years and I am a firm believer in G-D of the Torah , I try to live a Pure life . Following G-D’s Word etc……those thoughts don’t line up with who I am. I am sure both my parents had insulin problems when they had us. Both parents had tummies. My father didn’t live to see my 20 birthday 🎉 almost 40 now. Trying a HIGH FAT diet to see if it helps my brain 🧠 and serious brain fog 😶‍🌫️, autism like symptoms, senior moments 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️, having to write notes reminders, can’t drive a car, couldn’t go to university, can’t work. How bad my brain has been. Learning difficulties in school in the 90’s. Wasn’t good at math. This has been a huge problem my entire life. No Dr 👨‍⚕️ has told me do high fat. Researching myself and prayer 🙏🏻 I found this topic. My mom has diabetes and heart disease now so I don’t have years left to heal. And I can’t have my brother supporting me they are alcoholic not drunk but anger problems and we aren’t close . I need to stand on my own 2 feet.

I disagree with her. Having worked in the retail supplement business I have seen it all from crazy keto to vegetarian to variations of diet lifestyles etc. Anything that is not a wide variety type of eating lifestyle is not good per se. Nutrient deficiences are everywhere possibly due to food being nutient deficient and those crazy food diets we tend to gravitate towards. Healthy wholesome food with supplementation periodically generally takes care of most situations. When you do carnivore, keto, vegetarian or any specific diet you can be deleting certain vitamins, minerals, aminos, antioxidants from your diet which can be problematic. Also if you are missing these nutrients your gut microbiome can suffer too leaving you with a whole other set of problems. A wide variety diet plus supplementation can make the world of difference. Food and mood go hand in hand but other things matter more.
