Been shooting it myself a little more lately, and I would agree! Makes things much more pleasant. My POI shifts a little bit, about 2 MOA if I’m remembering correctly.
Do you know what kind of velocity you're getting with that suppressor? It seems like with .17hmr even if the suppressor slows it down, it's still gotta have a pretty decent fps.
I have chronographed it in the past, but don’t remember if there was a difference. As a rule, suppressors don’t slow velocities though. From what I understand, any velocity change is usually in the positive direction, due to the bullet still being pushed a bit by the propellant gasses while traveling through the suppressor. That would be interesting to test though! Thanks for watching!
Thanks. I am /was on the fence about a supressor for my 17 Mach2 and mt 17 HMR. Great vid that helped me decide.
Got a thumbs up from me because of the side by side sound comparison!!
Gonna have threads cut on mine as well thanks for the info about length and the diagram!
Thanks for giving the info
That was impressive difference!
Thanks!
What brand of your suppressor? I had one on my 17 hmr still sound like 22 long rifle. Your sound quieter. Please let me know. Thanks
Thunderbeast 22 TD
What's next on the list, do I have anymore load development videos coming up?
For sure! Working on loads for the Howa Mini 6.5 Grendel next.
@@TheOutdoorGeneralist outstanding, i was hoping for that.
Nice comparison, what kind of suppressor do you need, which brand? manucaturer?model?
This is the Thunderbeast 22 take down
I shoot my .223 suppressed, it makes a huge difference in reducing muzzle blast. Point of impact is unaffected by the suppressor.

Give the cci game king 20 frn hollowpoints. By far the best hunting round there is it doesn't blow squirrels up and itll kill hog no problem
