    Great video man. I grew up on an island in the south pacific, and when I was like 12 years old making blow guns was one of those things teen boys did for fun lol. We used to make ours out of bamboo because it was common and it was also the traditional material used in ancient times. But for darts we would use tie wire we found on constitution sites and instead of cones we would use cotton from a seed pod from a tropical tree. I figured out that synthetic cotton balls was better because they were less dense and started nabbing cotton ball from my moms makeup box 😂

    Im 6'4, 220lb with xl hands. Ive carried the p07 for several years now, thousands of rounds. Perfect reliability, shoots well, trigger certainly smooths out. Its not a competition trigger, its a carry trigger, and it's perfectly adequate. Your list of "needs" is really just preferences and thats fine. Imo the only thing the gun needs is a few hundred rounds behind the trigger, especially if yoy're coming from strikers, (and perhaps an optic ready version, although i do prefer a direct mill interface despite being less convenient initially). For well under $500 i have glock/hk level performance and reliability with the peace of mind of a hammer fired gun for aiwb.

    Interesting review! I was going to ask you what the bolt throw angle was, but since reading your comment in the video description, I guess it's 90 degrees because the rifle actually has a Howa 1500 action. It's so obvious now! You could probably get a similar package directly for Howa for a $200 less. The short trigger would cause a problem for me as I normally place my finger pretty low on the trigger. I don't think the Howa 1500 action usually has a short trigger. Could the MDT chassis not be a good fit for the 1500 action?

    I don’t know of anyone that got a pre-greased m1 from the CMP. It may have Protective oil on it, but that’s NOT lubricant. There are numerous areas that NEED to be greased or oiled when first receiving an m1 from the CMP. It can cause a lot of damage if you don’t do these steps.

    I have been working up loads with both the 115 TAC-TX and 100 gr TTSX..I had a good load with accurate 2460 with the 115s I used h335 to get about 2700 fps with the 100s..I've tested these bullets a lot with sub optimal results,, either to slow for proper expansion,, dangerous pressure signs,or fast enough but not moa or better..but all this was before I knew copper needs a farther jump to the lands,,so now I'm starting from starch and I know I'll make a great 100 TTSX load.. I already have my 115s dialed in but Id really like to see them go faster,so I may try leverevolution, which I already have a can of for my 30-30.

    Hey TOG,Thanks for the nice video! Good presentation with steady camera work, your camera composition and back round, A+(No distractions); very important to viewers!!! Hodgdon now, if you are not aware , has load data posted for the 6.5 Grendel & LVR(LeverEvolution) and if you can find some IMR 8208 XBR it posted too among quite a few others powders with a variety of bullets!!! I load the Grendy also and have a bunch of step loads to take to the range. Some have bullets out to even 2.26" and still off lands in a Ruger Ranch gen 1. We will see if the Grendy likes them close or farther away from the lands.My son lives on the west side of Tennessee and he reloads different calibers, and the 6.5 Grendel which is also a Howa Mini in a Boyd's custom wood stock, is high on his list. After watching your segment here, I called him about loading some LVR as I was planning to do also, because I had LVR on hand as I also load .30-.30 Win. So, where he lives, he was able to pick up a 1 pounder to try as well. Once again, good video, bye for now!!

    That gun is shooting all over the place . I would try a heavier sabot. 250 grain on a 50 cal is quite low, I would go 300 grains or heavier. I have personally never shot a sabot that light before but I have friends that have had the same wild patterns with lighter slugs. If you are not shooting past 250 yards I would go 350 grains. The heavier slug will have better knock down power. Your powder charge will be somewhere between 75 to 90 grains by volume for a heavier slug. You really need to experiment with different charges and slugs but that obviously requires time and money.

    If I am not mistaken. Hornady uses a 24-inch barrel to get there velocity. If that is a 16-inch barrel on that rifle. There Going be a difference for sure.

    I have the p10f, p07, and p10c. P10f is most accurate. Trigger of the p07 needs a lot getting used to. P10c is the most ergonomic. P07 and p10c are probably both of similar accuracy. I find rapid fire easier to do with p07, not sure why. I plan to use p07 for appendix carry

  • @masterk5066
    @masterk5066 Місяць тому

    It’s all Perspective & use case. I have a gun similar to p07, jericho 941 STEEL cz75 inspired just like this p07. It has literally a quarter of the pull & reset that this gun has. I’ve never had a accidental discharge but I don’t want a jericho 4lb hammer with barely any pull aiming directly at my balls all day even WITH the safety 😂 Mcarbo/cajun works package completely ruins this gun for me cause you can reduce it as far as 3lb-3.5lbs AND it’s aftermarket trigger work which I’m heavily against on a carry gun I might as well buy a shadow at that point 🤷🏾‍♂️. It ain’t my best gun but I’m accurate with the factory trigger. Light ass trigger I might as well get shadow or cheap 1911 commander which would cost the same after all the work is done. Or p10 like you said but I’d lose the hammer. If they update p07 ill consider it I like factory triggers for carry if this was a range gun I wouldn’t give af though Cajun mcarbo all day

Good shooting! I have the Hunter version that looks similar to your Target. I have had all the same feed and eject issues you have. Recently I found videos on tuning the mags that helps resolve some of the eject issues. Nice video!
