- After signing with Motown and going through their hit making machine, the group were finally ready to be introduced to the American public, and 1970 is the year the Jackson 5 exploded onto the pop music scene.
Achieving four consecutive No. 1s with their debut singles, the group released three albums and embarked on their first nationwide tour, performing to thousands of screaming fans. Considered the biggest thing since the Beatles, they were instant successes with a capital S, and as the Jackson 5's lead singer, Michael would for the very first time experience the fame and fortune that comes with it.

Even as a child, Michael was coming out with number one singles. At an early age, you could tell he was destined for stardom.
He legit had 4-5 diff careers in 1
We want you back MJ 👑👍💯.
That’s what I’m saying!!!!!!!
本当に❤
そう思います❤😂
Yup
I miss MJ. He'll always be remembered ❤❤
I would like to take this opportunity to thank this channel for its incredible and undeniable work in order to keep Michael Jackson's legacy. Although we've seen many others telling they do so, the main difference here is that not only "the Detail" brings us the positive aspects from Michael's life but also the negative ones which is undoubtedly how History must be told. As a fan for over 30 years I admire the amount of work in order to provide us such an incredible, chronological and detailed footage plus the best quality possible! So once more thank you. ❤
Great content on this channel indeed❤❤❤
Agreed ♥️♥️
Pure evidence this man barely had a childhood, explains a lot. RIP
Most humble, innocent and beautiful kid/adult of all time!! Only the KING!❤❤
I love that last interview clip every time I see it. That slight hesitation and smirk he had after saying, “all my songs are fast” is so cool to me!
The Jackson 5 were the first musical group to debut with four consecutive No. 1 hit singles on the Billboard Hot 100 and they were the musical group with the most No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1970. Michael also broke the record for youngest musical artist with a No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. These were the first of many Michael Jackson world records. Even when he was a boy, Michael Jackson was a King.
MJ and the Jackson 5 were superstars from day one. Their combined talent set the stage for many young artists today. Few bands have that raw potential and grit. Great video from the detail. Long live the king of pop. ❤🎉
Thank you!
for your next video can you please do how Rock artists inspire and influence by Bob Marley and Michael Jackson.
Right and it sad how the world doesn't acknowledge and hate the brothers and never give them credit Jackie Tito Jermaine Marlon and randy are the most underrated artists in the world and is overlooked because of Michael and Janet
Oh michael wish you were here ❤
The rumors started all the way back here, huh? Hahaha. I thought they started up after the mid-1970s.
The Jackson 5 take over the world. The Jackson Family becomes musical royalty right before your very eyes.
Ahhhh...it's nice to see the days when things were less complicated.
Thank you, thedetail, for taking us back.
One of the greatest phenomenons in world music, Michael Jackson, starred and emerged in his early days, with all his vocal and performance talent, a truly remarkable artist.
1:44 You can almost hear him thinking: 'what did Motown tell me to say to the white folk again....., oh yeah the Beatles and definitely not James Brown!'
Yup !
I thought only I noticed that; he danced like James Brown, but no mention of him---I wonder WHY? But to be fair, most blacks remain Magical Negroes til this day...
Very true
Yeah I’ve always wondered that bc in his early years he rarely mention James brown in public nor did they link in the 70s
Well he must of liked Beatles a bit since he bought their catalog and did collaborations with Paul McCartney years later
Of course "the detail" would have this amazing archive footage! No surprise here❤❤
Wow, thank you!
Facts the detail is soooo dope 👏🏿👏🏿
An old soul: in a young body...
I’m here ❤😊 Michael is so cute
As always an Amazing Video!! ❤❤
Keep on going! R.I.P MJ our King Of Pop😢😭

“I don’t sing if I don’t mean it” 🥹💕… Michael was pure prodigy
this year really was j5 mania. thanks for sharing 💜
Yes it was!
I know, right! I could be wrong, but this was when the Jackson 5 were labeled as the hottest bubblegum band in America.
for your next video can you please do how Rock artists inspire and influence by Bob Marley and Michael Jackson..
There were articles at the time calling them the next Beatles to sweep the nation
@@thedetail. Oh yeah! Really good point! I remember seeing videos of comparing their mania (Jacksonmania) to the Beatlemania of, well, the Beatles
What would I give to see this era in person?
I can't wait for the destiny , Triumph and Victory album and tour documentaries. Thank you !
I love hearing Michael Midwest accent. He quickly lost it in California
I love a lot your vids and i wonder where and how you get all that Michael Jackson's material. Thanks so much and greetings from Dominican Republic.

We were robbed from more footage from the other concerts in the early 1970s, especially the LA Forum!!! R.I.P Michael Jackson
Love you forever Michael 💝💖❤️
The end of 1969 thru 1970 and 1982 thru 1983 were the most pivotal times in his life
I agree add 1984 as well
Facts, pmus those years were before the dumbass tabloids started falsifying stories about him.
God, I love these. I send people straight your way to understand Michael's life. Now that you are doing his childhood era of his career, it is so comprehensive, and just seeing the way everything played out does make him makes more sense, I think
Thank you ! I wanted the early years!!! Keep em coming 🙏🙏🙏

Born 8/29/1958
Life Path: 6
Master Number: 11/33
In 1970, Michael was in the beginning of a career peak. His Saturn was 2° Taurus in his solar 9th house of higher education, spirituality, and foreign travel. He was in Personal Year (PY) 8 which is have it all or lose it all financially. His career peak lasted until 1981 when Saturn began transiting Libra in his solar 2nd House of earned income.
His tremendous royalties came from Pluto and Uranus transiting Scorpio in his natal 8th House of other people's resources. These transits lasted well until the mid-1990s. He also had two natal planets in earth signs. When Uranus and Neptune both transited Capricorn, completing the trine of earth signs, from the mid-1980s until the late 1990s, he achieved tremendous earned income. After the year 2000, all of this ended as Uranus and Neptune began to transit Aquarius.
Now you speaking my language. If anyone lived out their spiritual destiny on this Earth - good, bad, or otherwise - it's Michael Jackson. I would love a full study of his numerological path and Astrology.
❤
Having death hoaxes told about you at age 10/11 is absolutely NUTS
Saying he overdosed on lsd
@@thedetail. that's simply awful
Wish y’all could’ve included the forum concert 6/20/1970. That was their first time fans rushed the stage
Is their any video footage of fans rushing the stage?
@@for-house-stark not that I know of but it’s probably hidden in archives with terrible quality ain’t no telling.
@@for-house-stark but in Katherine’s book she stated this was the first concert she seen by them and was scared for marlon and michael because they were only 11 and 12 running away from fans and Latoya also said how they didn’t know how the fans enjoyed the concert because they screamed and mobbed her brothers wen the love you save came on
I thought you would've started with 68
Detail actually started at year 69
Do you get paid any money for this channel?
I started to believe u do not have anything to talk about now
Interesting, why is that?
@@thedetail. Do 1970s decade in review
