Hey guys, the reason I say 4 month old baby in the beginning of this video is because we filmed this over two weeks ago, and just finally got around to editing it! She is turning 5 months old in two days!! ❤️
I raised my nephew and niece and I zipped them once each. I turned to snap buttons exclusively. It's not that I wasn't careful but they were super wiggly. It was when they started to try to roll. Also I was concerned with the zipper depretion left by the zipper.
The onsie with buttons was better when my son was in the NICU. He had so many tubes and wires that made it impossible for us to zip up a onsie. He's 9 months old now, and I despise the button onsies. But when he was in the NICU it was a must.
I'm with you guys! My little boy just turned 3 months and he is a terrible sleeper... really hope things improve soon. You guys are doing a great job! 😊❤️
I hope things are getting easier. I always tell my daughter to remind herself it won't be like this for long. I know in the moment it seems like time stands still & the sleepless nights drag on & on but I promise you it'll be over before you know it. You'll wake up one day wondering what the #$!! happened, where all the time went & how you'd give anything for them to slow down.
Sleepers with zippers are the best. And you can keep baby in one for the day (until it gets soiled) and baby is happy. They’re also inexpensive so you can have plenty to change them in. And it keeps control of the brown situations, giving you a chance to get to the tub.
Zip ups are usually very tight fitting which means baby grows out of it quickly. Also the tightness makes reflux issues worse and if its too tight/small for baby, it will not allow baby to move freely according to my osteo
That’s so cute! I’m getting a baby cousin in February, I’m seeing her when she is a newborn, then the next time I will see her is when she is 6 months!😢
Not a parent but I would imagine that transitioning from exclusively breast feeding to pumping is tough. The way that I see it is just as long as the baby is well fed, happy and well taken care of that’s all that matters. You guys are doing a great job, keep up the good work!!❤
It’s so cool to easy how different all babies are. I have two and both have required a bath before bed and then the play time and then a bottle. Whatever works for you is the best! You guys are doing amazing.
We are a month and a half behind you in new parent hood. The buttons make no sense to me! Zippers 100% LOL at the laughing on the changing table. We ABSOLUTELY did this today too.
U guy's are a AMAZING TEAM together ❤ Baby Addy is a BEAUTIFUL baby girl!! She definitely looks like her Daddy with Mal's beauty in there ❤ Does she have Cam"s eye's in person?? U BOTH seem like Ur adjusting really good to being New parents! U can tell Baby Addy is sucha peaceful happy baby, it's adorable when Cam gets her to laugh 😂🤣💯 Much love frm Florida 🩷🌴🌴🩷
The advice nobody asked for.. I was exclusively pumping at first. I thought i had thrush and turns out was vasospasms. I'm now going back ro pumping and got a portable pump! It is so worth the $$$ sometimes i pp while walking the dog. Its amazing. If you dont have one and find yourself stressing about everything you need to do during the day i highly recommend. I got the elvie stride. Was bettee on my budget has a warranty and it everything.
Some years ago it seemed EVERYTHING was buttons, not just pj's. Nothing had zippers😢 It was so daunting. Esp when you got to the last one & figured out you're off. I started buttoning from top to bottom which helped.
I think the onesies with snaps were originally done for easier changing because you can just open the bottom but now the double zippers function the same way but so much easier 😊
What time do you guys wake your baby up every day? Having sleep troubles with my 4 month old daughter and it was nice to know that you guys were in the same boat until recently and there’s a light at the end of the tunnel haha.
I think some people prefer the button onesies because they worry about catching the baby's skin in the zipper, but there's no right or wrong just do whatever works for you 😊💗
My baby is the same age. She might have a tongue tie based on the symptoms. I had to do my babies twice cause first one wasn’t done fully. It’s a game changer. Less reflux and finally his latch is normal.
To answer Cam’s question about the button sleepers vs. zipper sleepers, my thought is that babies learn how to unzip at some point. Maybe people choose button sleepers because baby can unzip but can’t unbutton, so baby’s sleeper stays fastened. That said, the zipper ones that I’ve seen have a small piece of fabric at the top of the zipper. It’s sewed to the sleeper on one side. It covers the zipper pull and buttons or snaps on the other side. This prevents baby from getting to the zipper pull and unzipping. Other than that I don’t understand why someone would buy button sleepers over zipper ones.
Since you are exclusively pumping mal I would love to know how you are handling going out and about while having to pump and bring bottles and warm up on the go! I Still haven’t figured that out yet.
Hey guys, wondering how you get her to go down so well? I have a 13 week old who very heavily relies on the boob and I’m not seeing a light at the end of the tunnel 🥲
Not parents yet so can’t speak from first hand experience but I know growing up my mom would only un button the bottom buttons of the onsie an pull the babies leg(s?) lol out to change them so she wasn’t fully “undressing” them each time 🤷🏼♀️
I just had to make the decision to pump exclusively and stop nursing too because my 9 week old has a bad latch. It breaks my heart, but he is happier so that is all that matters.
@@nyssaramirez3715 those are the ones I had. I still had to unzip the entire thing to get the legs out. The button ones has buttons on both legs so it’s far easier diaper change for me.
I have a 2 month old and I’m looking forward to the nights where he will go to sleep by himself and stay asleep😅 He doesn’t go to sleep for bedtime until like 10pm and when he does, he refuses to be alone so it has to be my bedtime too 😅 so I’m looking forward to the days that my husband and I can have quality time together again at the end of the day
My girlfriend was not producing enough milk to satisfy our daughter, so we also switched to bottle feeding. She does breastfeed, but more as a comfort / connection thing. The bottle has drastically increased our babies behaviour and energy levels.
You might want to get her checked for a tongue or lip tie if her latch isn’t good. It is so much work to pump long term. Breastfeeding gives other important rewards besides just milk. It develops the pallet and jaw properly for a more beautiful and aligned face. Your body takes info from baby to make milk to boost her immune system when she nurses. Skipping that step and just pumping doesn’t give your body the info to do this. Also the bond and closeness is so important for human infants.
Good thing you can give the "closeness" in other ways which are just as good. Her immunesystem will still benefit from pumped milk, not sure where you got that weird information from. They have a pedetrician which is responsible to ensure the baby is healthy and bottom line is, the babies health is all that matters. If shit works for them, it works.
Pressuring someone into breastfeeding or making them feel bad for not being able to do it isn’t a good look. It is HARD. I both pump and breastfeed. I’m sure they know the benefits but sometimes those benefits don’t outweigh the obstacles. The fact that Addie is still getting breastmilk is wonderful and is an accomplishment.
I hate zipper onsie, they never fit my babys legs right because the zipper goes down the leg. Drives me nuts. Where the buttuns go down the middle then down both legs so it fits properly. This is my third baby and it has happened with all 3, guess im a minority tho because its impossible to find ones with snaps. P.s. our babys are the exact same age. My girl was born may 31st
Breastfeeding can be such a nightmare. I wish there had been better help when my children were babies (in their 40’s now😱😂) If I could have pumped and bottle fed it would have been great because, as you say, you know how much she is having. I had to use formula from 3 months for both of my babies because I didn’t feel they were getting enough because I found breastfeeding difficult, to pump and bottle fed has to be better than formula. ❤
Sure if you can do it. My supply dropped significantly pumping alone. It worked better to do it by hand but even then it's extremely time consuming and in my case the milk dried up. It was a slippery slope where i started off exclusively expressing, then I had to introduce formula and do combined, when he grew the expressing didn't keep up, then eventually it didn't seem worth it to keep going. Tbh having seen baby on breastmilk and then formula a few months later I don't see the big deal having formula. He does just fine, there is such extreme pressure to breastfeed its at a level where it's just unhealthy for mums struggling through it. At some point just let it go, give them the formula and forgive yourself because it doesn't automatically make you a bad parent.
I saw another youtuber also a couple it's like they copying videos from mal and cam. The preganancy cravibg videos of mal. But when i saw the full video mal are more natural and your video are not not scripted-like acting in other youtuber it's he opposite. 😅

Quality time at the end of the night is so so nice. I loved it when we moved my son to his own room. I felt like I was free again at night 😂
I 🤎 this so realistic and Baby Addy is soooo PRECIOUS 🤎
Exclusively pumping is so hard I did it for 3 months. But it's also so rewarding. You go mama
Cam laughing with baby A on her changing table was SO CUTE!!!! You don’t look crazy you look like the best Dad having fun making his baby laugh!
Aww baby Addie is sooo cute
I love this update. This is so cute.

I always buy onesie with zippers for gifts. I also hated the snap onesies when my daughter was a baby so I get it.

Possibly. Good guess

Button sleepers are better for the car seat because zipper sleepers can bunch up under their chin.:)
Mal the fact that you are still giving her breast milk is the key so good for you !!!
You're supposed to until a year

WHAT ABOUT THE DOGGGGGGG? Glad your doing good.
She’s so cute 🥰
As a mom of 4 you will never catch me buying the sleepers with buttons ❌❌❌
In the middle of the night you just unbotton the bottom so they don't get cold lol. But the magnet ones are better

You can find ones that unzip from the bottom so you don’t have to take it all the way off

Buttons are better because it does not have the chance to zip her skin but I still think that zipper is better
Zippers can pinch their baby skin and fat. So that's why they make button onesies
The reason there is button onzies is so the baby cant get out of it
