The hardest part of moving with baby for me was getting all the baby equipment toys diaper basic functionality stations set up ..wifi, electronics cameras ect I had to do it by myself so the process took like a month to even complete most of it
I agree with Cam , having only the necessary while kids are growing is better because there are a lot of changes while kids grow, also I feel like it's bettwr to have all the things you want when you have your own home and not renting 😊

You want time with a baby. Get a pram hook and dangle toys for the baby to swat in the pram. Keeps baby entertained for at least half per wake time, and they can just sleep in the pram when they finished playing. Better not to do it all day but its a great way to catch a break 😂

Sometimes companies will offer a severance package with layoffs. They might have asked him to help train someone before he leaves as part of that agreement/ package. Also, not burning a bridge there means the door is open for him to return there or have a formal letter of recommendation to get hired somewhere else. Could be any number of reasons for something like that. 🤷♀️
Sometimes companies just have to lose headcount to keep their "numbers" looking good for investors. Often times, that means losing people even though you still need someone to do that job. In my experience, when that happens, they cross train someone else to do that job temporarily. However, in my experience, they don't end up backfilling that position and the poor soul who was cross trained gets stuck doing more than what they were hired to do.

I live in California and have 4 us and 2 pets in 1,200 sq feet apartment. We will be finishing up moving units in same complex this weekend. We spend over 4000 a month for our unit just Bay Area living. I own 2 properties I rent out in another state but buying in Bay Area not in my budget need make atleast 700,000 a yr or huge down payment afford it. We make over 300,000 a yr and nothing would be within budget unless like 800 sq feet old place. I don’t think people in other states realize how out reach homeownership is in the Bay Area.
I moved with a 2 months old baby and I moved with a 2 year old toddler. Moving with a baby is so much easier. Try explaining to a 2 y.o. that this is your home now and you can't go back to the old place. Try packing boxes with a toddler, they'll want to pull out everything, especially if you're packing their belongings. 😂😂😂 With a baby you just put them in the carrier and start packing, you have like 2 hrs at a time, it's freaking great 😊(obviously this is my experience, don't come for me. And I'm not saying moving with a baby was easy lol)
No, do not sell or give away everything from your first born. There are many items that can be passed from child to child, that are quite an expense(never get what you paid for when selling). Unless you are really rich, makes sense to be frugal about these things, God tells us to be good stewards of our money, Hebrews 13:5 Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."

I hate moving. It is sooo stressful even under the best of circumstances. I like your cute place but with a baby there is never enough room. Baby gear takes up a lot of space. Just fyi Paying for a storage unit is stupid but necessary at times. The perfect moving first meal is always pizza duh..bc you can't find plates and it feeds the helpers cheaply. Or Chinese as you unbox stuff. I firmly believe as your social media grows you will end up in a home you buy. How special will that be? If you guys are thinking about different areas to move to I suggest the Tampa Bay area. No hurricanes here. The sand here is so white and it feels like powdered sugar. Our beaches have been voted in the top 3 in America on travel channel and other sites for over 10 years. There is so much to do here that is family oriented. Lots of theme parks, museums,festivals, grow your own food and tropical flowers, kayaking, biking, boats you can rent to pull up yo eat at restaurants in the bay or get a golf cart to go to shops, dolphins and manateees, huge man made lagoon, jet ski, fireworks on the beach for July 4th is such a magical thing to see. Every beach community up and down the coast fill the sky. *Pro moving tips..leave stuff in drawers. No need to unpack to put it back in drawers. Pack bathroom bag with a shower curtain if needed and 1 overnight bag so you can shower and change in case you can't find clothes. When moving hanging clothing bunch about 15 or 20 together. Zip tie them at the top. Poke a hole in a big black garbage bag in the bottom middle for the top of hangers to fit thru. Tie the bottom of the bag. Like dry cleaning basically. They will stay altogether. You can throw them in top of uhaul in gaps or on top of furniture so no scratches. It doesnt waste the bags bc once you open them they can still be used for all the newspaper and bubble wrap. You can put dishes in clothing drawers or fragile stuff. Invest in a dolly and straps and the furniture movers under feet to slide easily. You can do this Mal. I am 56 and I moved my apartment by myself except for the big pieces. I have a suv so I had many small loads but that made it easier for me. I took all I could from each room and set that room up with the basics starting with bathroom and kitchen so I could function. I did 2 loads a day so by the end of the week when I needed muscle everything small was out of the way. Also I took my sofa cushions on day 1 so I had a place to lay down and take a nap if I needed. I also try not to buy a lot of food in the weeks before. Its a great time to clean out old food. Sadly I know you just lost all your food. Even worse all that breast milk. :( Anyways I know your very busy and probably don't have time to read my comments. I am supporting my favorite yt couple from here in St pete beach, wish i could help you since you know I am unemployed. Congratulations on a bigger place. I hear the Jefferson's song movin on up.
