This is my 87' GMC Sierra 4x4 with 18 inch glasspacks. Any comments would be appreciated and you can see the pics of the full build at forum.73-87chev... Thanks Zach
For all of you arguing about how I got the truck, I purchased a couple heifers when I was 8 and grazed them on our family farm and sold their bull calves and kept the heifers. When I purchased the truck (age 15) I had built up to around 20 head. I purchased the truck with funds from those calves that year. I now have a 97 powerstroke that I purchased after the blue truck was sold. And During the summer I work for my dad at Jasper Engines. Hope this clears some stuff up. Thanks
Nice job fixing it up. I have an old 82 Silverado...same color...paid for the same way. Hard work while running a small cow calf operation but all the hard work is worth it at the end of the day I think. I still have the 82 and hope to restore my 71 Cheyenne someday to
I’m gettin a 1978 GMC Sierra for free, I was lookin for and old GM truck, and this guy commented on my post and said "iv got a 1978 GMC Sierra, rusty, but all there, had it runnin a while ago and was drivin a while ago, you can take it for free if you wanna houl it away, I bought a property a little while ago and the guy before us died and it was his truck, so it was abandoned there” I said "YES YES YES PLZ” just need the spring to end, then I can get pics and possibly take it home
That's just like my short bed Chevy 1984 k10, I'm looking into a glass pack on it, the one that is on it is a older cheeper sport exost, it's not even that loud.
need to get cats and short flomasters..that's what I have and it sounds twice as good..also you need to pt a posi trac rear and front end in it plus the cats will give it a ittle more horsepower because of the back pressure that it will give
+Dakota Flowmasters are horrible. They have a hollow metal box sound, and they're restrictive with all those baffles and chambers. Straight-through mufflers for the win.
I live down in Houston, Missouri. My Dad is the Manager of the Gas Engine side in the Willow Springs, Mo branch. I actually threw a rod and had to rebuild it and ended up putting headers and super 40's on it. Unfortunately I sold the truck shortly after that because I couldn't afford the fuel in high school. I learned a lot working on that truck and thank you guys for all the appreciation. I plan to aquire another square body after college and restore it like I did this one. Thanks, Zach
the color is a litlle dull, my opinion i would put orange and black, red and black, black and white, or a dark blue and black. me and you should race some time i have a 1983 gmc k2500 high sierra 4x4 3/4 ton 6.2 liter diesel 4 speed with granny. and it can roll coal really good
We've got a 1974 k20 with 32,000 on it, only owners so we know that's all it's got, however being in the north it's rusted to hell, I plan to shine it up someday when the funds are right
Young man your truck is beautiful
Sounded like he hit some in the back 😳
Outstanding job! I love the deep throaty sound of it and it's beautiful. Well done.
Thanks man, exactly what I was looking for.

Very clean truck. I remember those days I had an 83 Sierra blue and white
You have a really nice truck here, be sure you take care of it.
Woodie wood pecker 💯✌️👍
I only see a small number of those generation GMC & Chevy trucks around nowadays.
Rust is a killer.
Truck looks great
The newer wheels look amazing on it
that's one clean old Chevy Zack

sounds pretty good and back pressure doesn't give you more power it limits the exhaust from flowing free out the back
Mike St an engine needs a little back pressure it helps with torque but to much chokes it out
Nice job! Sounds mean! I got a 2013 Camaro with Delta 40's and your ride sounds better than mine. I might have to change mine out.
Don't forget I changed the engine to👍😁💯
nice man , sounds way better than mine lmao
That's just like my short bed Chevy 1984 k10, I'm looking into a glass pack on it, the one that is on it is a older cheeper sport exost, it's not even that loud.
Nice truck feller!
sounds like he went to crash around the corner.
Hahah😂
That is a very very nice truck

Backpressure is bad for HP🤮🤮
dope
clean rig
I’ve gotta 1984 GMC Sierra
I have that same type of rims on my 95 Chevrolet k2500
Im fixing up my 86 dodge ram and im putting glass packs on it, and it has a 318 in it so it will be especially loud hahaaa
What brand are the glasspacks? they sound great.
sweet, sounds awesome
Paint it midnight blue and silver-change the wheels and run wider tires! Still nice truck
Thanks for the video. This is exactly what i was looking for. 1 question though. is it the 350 sbc engine? Thanks
The welding job tho 👍
nice truck
I like your truck
You can change out the lug s too its not too hard
Are you even old enough to drive?
looks like you're old enough to be jealous
if i were you i would have put the flowmaster brand 44
+Dakota Flowmasters are horrible. They have a hollow metal box sound, and they're restrictive with all those baffles and chambers. Straight-through mufflers for the win.
I noticed u have a jasper engines plate. I live in jasper close to their headquarters factory or whatever . Do you live in jasper?

by 18 inch do you mean 23 overall with 18 inch body
I know what I'm doing for exhaust on my truck now. Where'd you get the back bumper
This has a 350 correct?
what engine did it have?
5.7?
nice truck but you film this from the park teeter toter
I like you're truck but you do realize the odometer laps over so that truck probably has 366,000 miles on it
Or it was a farm truck and was barely driven. I found myself a '87 Chevy c20 with only 55,xxx original miles from this old farmer in south Texas.
We've got a 1974 k20 with 32,000 on it, only owners so we know that's all it's got, however being in the north it's rusted to hell, I plan to shine it up someday when the funds are right
Isaiah Shaffer my wife and I lived up north in Michigan for years and we got tired of the snow so we moved to Phoenix Arizona
A hole 88hp
nicr
mommy and daddy bought you a nice truck!
He bought it himself fool
how does a 12 year old have a truck?
I got a truck when I was about 9 or 10. He can have a truck.
Ethyn Stuart yall are privleged as all hell
dragonslayer1483 no, actually you are. You are forgetting that he might have gotten it as a gift.
Ethyn Stuart thats my point! if the truck was just GIVEN to him, then he is privleged. obviously he didnt go to work and earn a paycheck to get it
+dragonslayer1483 he bought it himself
Boy if you can't put your own glasspacks on a truck you don't deserve to be buying a truck that old.
Most people dont have a 10,000 dollar pipe bender
IKR, I can prob put on a supercharger and make it function and I didn’t learn from my grandpa, I tought myself n’ didn’t even have to do it
