Bad ass as long as you don’t run in any deep water. Old boy might wanna do a hull swap on that bad boy. Might want to think about a counter rotator as well to offset all that engine roll. I’ve seen boats with to much torque go right to the bottom of the creek before. It’s all fun until it ain’t lol. Beautiful boat though sounds like it’s running very strong.
hey, great comment ! correct on all ! Austin took this boat out a few times and then broke it down, deep hull was one thing he did. Takes a lot of time and money to build a boat like this. I know him personally and it's all his hard earned money going into this new build. all of his boats are full of POWER !!
@@OutdoorAdventureswithShawn oh trust me I get the whole out of pocket situation. That’s why I’ve always stuck with aircraft engines. Easy to build easy to maintain and they’ll go anywhere. I’ve been on some nasty boats but I’ve honestly always been a little scared of that unbridled power that these big block boats make. My last 0540 would run mid 70’s and that’s all I ever wanted or needed out of an airboat lol. I’ve seen a few guys running tunnel hulls with counter rotators on them recently. I don’t know if that’s new or if I’ve just never seen it before. But apparently the tunnel helps keep the boat pointed straight when you get into the big end of the horsepower. Again I don’t know if that’s new or not but I’ve been running airboats my whole life bought my first one 23 years ago and I’ve never seen the tunnels before. Lots of guys running step hulls with the fast boats but never seen the tunnel until recently. Might be something to look into anyways.
@@woodwardoutdoors7742 i don't know about these things but what about (a) the engine sitting lower to lower the centre of gravity, making the boat more stable. I love airboats and I love the engine but a little more freeboard and lowering the enging to the hull and using a chain or belt drive would be great improvements.

i don't -- my bud is brave ! he has a lot of $$$ tied in that boat. i would hate to be on it when it got swamped and went down. fortunately, this boat made it back to the ramp, he sold the hull to get one with higher sides.

he got some $$$ in that boat/engine for sure. it does sound sweeeeetttttt
I bet it skips like a rock!!!
Here in florida, we like at least 6 inches of freeboard, especially if you run in the gulf, plus it's nice to have some big pumps in the boat.
Yeah. That's really overloaded.
Big block Chevy tunnel strapped to a sheet of plywood. What could go wrong?
It most certainly is not.

As soon as he turns on the engine, the engine itself already moves the boat 😮
It’s got to power !!

I think they will be saying “Huh?” and “What?” a lot when they get older
Now that's bad ass. Screaming America. 🇺🇲🦅🇺🇸✌️
Everybody got negative stuff to say,

so true, he has since purchased a new hull. it was a bit scary that first time out
😂

That's great news, because I was scared as hell this was about to be a video of a sinking boat.
Wrong again, freeboard is perfect for ripping around the Everglades safely at high speed.
Hell ya ! That sounds awesome let’s see it in action
Boat literally has no freeboard. A disaster waiting to happen.
put different hull under and it’s not as sketchy as this.
How much fuel 2 haul for day out?

the horsepower on this boat - wow - that boat will scoot !!

Yes you understand the assignment!
Those boats scare the heck out of me .
The fun loving boaters won’t be able to hear trouble coming their way anyway. Those fan boats are extremely loud.
Ya hear me?
Definitely sounds good, 😊😊
Love that sounds of pure power
I like that rack to hold 2 nitros bottles, the thing is a beast, i would be to worried about swaping it though. Not much freeboard
my bud got some hours driving these types of go fast boats, but, i to would be afraid of swamping the dang boat ! side are cut down to much for me.

That motor sounds nuts, Harley, Muscle car and air boat? Wow
it is impressive !
how to sink a boat 101

That brings me back to the 60's!
Well, damn it looks like if they were to accidentally get a gallon of water in that boat it would probably go to the bottom. Lol.
Love it 💯👏🏅
