    *Abstract*
Holly and Ray, a couple sailing around the world on their catamaran Sabo, embark on a challenging journey across the Pacific Ocean. This video documents their first week at sea as they navigate through unpredictable weather conditions, including light winds and unexpected gusts. They share their experiences provisioning for the long passage, adjusting to life on board, and encountering the beauty of the open ocean.
    *Summary*
    *Preparation and Departure*
    * 0:03 Introduction to Holly, Ray, and their catamaran Sabo, as they begin the Pacific leg of their circumnavigation journey.
    * 0:34 After a month-long stay in Panama, they finally receive their visa for French Polynesia and begin final preparations for their 4,000 nautical mile passage.
    * 1:16 The to-do list grows as their departure date approaches, including stocking up on non-refrigerated produce and other provisions.
    * 3:37 They decide to depart despite a marginal weather window with light winds, knowing they may need to motor for a portion of the trip to the Galapagos Islands.
    * 4:55 They estimate the passage to the Marquesas Islands will take around 26 days.
    * 6:07 Friends host a farewell dinner for the couple before their departure.
    * 7:00 Departure day arrives, but a ripped enclosure delays their plans as they spend five hours repairing it.
    *Life at Sea*
    * 7:48 They successfully set sail with favorable wind conditions, enjoying the experience.
    * 8:27 The wind lightens, prompting them to experiment with different sail configurations to maintain speed.
    * 10:37 They encounter dolphins and enjoy a beautiful sunset on their first day at sea.
    * 11:55 They adjust their sails for nighttime sailing, opting for a more conservative setup.
    * 12:50 The next morning, they struggle with light winds and try different sail combinations to improve their speed.
    * 13:34 They face a slow start to the day with minimal wind but remain patient, acknowledging the long journey ahead.
    * 14:51 The wind picks up, allowing them to sail at a faster pace and enjoy the experience.
    * 15:19 The wind disappears again, forcing them to motor and leading to fatigue from shorter sleep shifts.
    * 17:00 They encounter a large group of birds, providing a moment of excitement.
    * 17:37 After 24 hours of motoring, they express frustration with the lack of wind but remain hopeful for better conditions near the Galapagos Islands.
    * 18:14 A pod of dolphins appears and puts on a show for them.
    * 19:37 They finally find enough wind to shut off the engine and enjoy sailing once more.
    * 20:07 Holly concludes the video due to changing weather conditions, encouraging viewers to follow their journey on their blog and Instagram for further updates.

Another great video guys! We are following you from Oslo, Norway. Thank you for showing us Marina Vista Mar. We can only understand that this is a better option than staying in Panama City. It is particularly good that the provisions are so good. We look forward to the next update and wish you fair winds and safe sailing.

Wow, thank you! Norway has been on my travel bucket list for years! Glad you enjoyed the video, Vista Mar is also much more affordable than the marinas near PC. Cheers! :)

Someone should have some sort of video series where they explain and show you what sailing terms are and what it is. For instance motoring not everyone's going to know what that means in terms of sailing. Could me a neat and helpful series.

Not saying anything against your videos at all it's just a thought I had while I was watching this video. Thinking about how a lot of people are newbies and are probably going back and forth between UA-cam and Google to figure out what some terms mean or like parts of the vessels and things like that.

You're so right! It's hard to remember when we’re filming our everyday life and vocabulary, that we should probably explain more.

If you’ve been out of your home country for an extended period of time, you can apply from Panama City, Mexico City, and I believe somewhere in Ecuador…
