I'm rebuilding a pack like this, and whoever rebuilt it first made it a giant bass-ackwards fire hazard. This is the only thing I could find with a reliable diagram. Thanks dude.
Good demo apart from the sensor. It is supposed to be down between the batteries to monitor the core temperature of the pack. You just left it floating in the air. Not safe!
Very nicely made and yes I could no problem buy the battery's glue them together but there's a problem here it's the machine that you are using it is more the a new battery lol must have another way to do this .
My battery cells check out and I have 19v. at the contacts that mate to the tool (works with other battery) and it charges on the charger fine but when I connect to the tool, nothing. Could it be a resistor, etc.? Something isn't making contact. Any help?
I couldn't edit my comment/question below, your out of frame enough that we can't really see what you're doing with the sensor and that's apparently my issue. Is there anywhere that you're more demonstrative of that repair? It's apparently my problem. Thanks.
i'm all about diy and saving money, but that spot welder i don't have, so i won't be able to do this, unless there is another alternative. where did all the parts come from?
Jason Ripp I honestly have not come across anything other than a spot welder for working such applications. Most people don’t realize but battery stores (such as Interstate Batteries) can rebuild an existing pack for a relatively low cost.
Had 2 question for you. and related to Jasons so... Would a set up like this work to weld them? ua-cam.com/video/tlm-C_fiGS8/v-deo.html And how do you determine what batteries you need to buy? I've got a few 9.6 volt packs (cordless impact, drill and light) I need rebuilt but can't find any numbers on the cells themselves.
You can't solder the battery tabs ... and then proceeds to solder them lol So looks like you can solder to the tab directly but not the battery and font melt the jacket The spot welder looks like it makes the whole process quicker for the pro rebuilders but not sure why that should be a no no to soldering the tabs.... as we just watched you do that ??

thepacman2 happy to be of assistance.

What type and where did you get the thermal sensor from?
Hello, have you ever repaired a18v snap on trigger switch.ive three ineed of trigger switch.mustbe a common fault?
What sort of battery did you use?

Sorry for all the A-Holes giving you a hard time. I appreciate the knowledge you shared. Thanks.
Where do you buy your resistors for the snap on battery
Have you ever tested a pack and separated the good cells from the bad, and only replaced the bad ones, to save $$?
Interstate battery company rebuilt this?
Thermal sensor should be between the cells, not on top of the cell pack.
??????
Take your METAL wedding ring off! !
Have you ever rebuilt the new version snap on 3/8 cordless impact wrench 18v?
How much you charge to rebuild it ! You got all tools
We’re to buy the batteries ?and how much
I meant to say the sensor for the snap one battery where could I purchase the sensor
I have couple 14.4 batteries to rebuild how much
Need more vids please.
If I do not have a special spot welder like the one used what can I use. Might their be a special electrical glue (I have absolutely no idea)

What exactly is the sensor and where can I order some from?
it is a thermistor / thermal sensor.
Thanks I ended up using a FSR200F 74YA and that worked with no issues. We get them from S&S Electronics Part # FSR200
S&S is where we purchase all of our sensor parts from. The exact one used is the NTC10KA.
Do you do this as a job or side job?
Where did buy theses batteries items?
what's the brand and model of that hot glue gun?
What sort of machine is the spot welder?
Why do you say “sodder “?
It's a Hitachi, and sodder is common vernacular in the states.
Ok thanks for the reply . Interesting why they say sodder . Sort of like secketary. Anyway thanks for the video .
How much do these hitachi machines cost ?
@@Dentinvent not sure. I'm not the OP. Just knew that it was a Hitachi machine. Look em up probably
Can I send you mine to rebuild?
hi mate. is the battery 18350?
I guess it's CTB4185.
Resham Gurung The original cells are nicd, sub c, Sanyo NC2500SCR
Hey Tom I need you fixed my battery what is your address?
Thomas I need to know how much you charge for 18 v snap on battery? My phone 8322922562
If I send you one and pay you will you do it
Cuando será el vídeo en español?

Listen to the video again. You shouldn't solder to the BATTERY, not the tabs.
Info was good, but I got a headache from watching the out of focus video.
Your camera view was not good, could not see what you were doing with the first tab.
those batteries are only 85 brand new. not really that 'expensive'
I just priced them and there 136$ from my snapon guy
Unavailable in the UK for several years now
for bragging you're a pro, the taping the bottom of battery was Pre school
Tom
I need to know we're I can get the batteries for my snap on
Did you find them?
This is bloody useless nearly everything you're doing you don't see it right because of the camera angle.
it's Soldering, not fucking soddering..!!!
