Oh hey, nobody died, that's nice. The animation was pretty neat, too, which is nice to see as opposed to just sprite conversations like a lot of character fights tend to do at the start.

Out of all the one minute melee's, this was one of the most nicely animated ones and with a good story to set it. Not to say all other one minute melee's Dont have that but I really enjoyed this one the most other than the season finales and the Mario Fighters saga. Great work!

Y'know there is a bit of a mythology gag to this fight since Shantae's voice actress, the lovely Cristina Vee, also plays Cerebella in Skullgirls. Not to mention both WayForward and Skullgirls creator LabZero seem to be buddies and have had one of the same animators working on both games. I wonder how they feel about this.
But yeah, this one I'm gonna say is a little questionable in animation. It's really distracting when I see you switch from those custom sprites and the official ones. It was a nice experiment and all but needs a little work. I'm fine with the conversation animations though.
And I'm not surprised Filia lost. As someone who's a major fan of both franchises, Shantae has a far stronger and varied arsenal. Maybe she should've been the one to fight Shovel Knight and not Meta Knight. Well there's always next time. It looks like you're planning on these two going on an adventure anyways. (And possibly a rematch if Shantae finds out what the Skull Heart really is)

Fun fact: for those not aware shante is going to be a guest character in the next game made by lab zero (creators of skullgirls) called indivisible. Another note able guest character is shovel knight as well as Annie another character from skullgirls.

But lab zero is the company (at least the company they creator after they split off from the previous group supporting them if I recall correctly).

Lab zero is already been working on indivisible and they have a mobile game on top of that (which acts as a prequel to the events of skullgirls and so far we have the origin stories of lab eight members peacock and big band. It also explains why characters like squiggly double ms fortune and robin fortune are not in this mobile since some have not existed yet like robi fortune or cannot function yet like squiggly since the skullheart is currently inactive and thus cannot reanimate her body and ms fortune since she has yet to steal the life gen. We even see me fortune wearing pants since her body is not segmented yet.)

Connor Lee she ended up doing it, but The animator for that fight did not include her magic at all, so all she got was a fee transformations, a scimitar and a gun, which practically did nothing. The animator needs to redo it, as it fight is biased on The Knights side.

I really liked this one. Animation was very well done, and I couldn't tell who was going to win even down to the last 5 seconds. They're usually all very well done, but sometimes the outcome becomes very clear in the last 15 seconds of the fight and it loses that feeling of suspense

Ok now I'm fine with the 2 Week Upload schedule. The Animation is amazing and unlike most Fight Series you guys actually have reasons for the fights. Not of mention it's actually pretty damn fantastic how such a good fight can only take 1 min.
