    Honestly, it looks fine. There's nothing wrong with wear and tear on your gear, it shows that it gets used and hold up. It shows you've been places and done things.

      Agreed. But my girlfriend bought me a new bag because she didn't like the way this one looked. But I still use this one anyways, lol.

    I used to be really into XPAC, but I've run into similar issues with how it wears over time, so I've switched back to other materials like ripstop nylon or with Alpaka, their axoflux fabric, feels like it's more abrasion resistant without a lot of loss of water resistance. great review!

      Thanks. I just started making gear reviews, but I have always wanted to share my opinions.
      Xpac was fine for a while, but as I said, I do abuse my products. If one wanted to keep it nice, they probably could.

    Thank you for the informative review. Eyeing the 8th anniversary version of this bag, this vid really helps a lot answering questions I have about this bag

    I toyed around with the idea of a 'travel' vest with many pockets. Yeah, will look like a photographer, but then no man-bag. However, the vest idea falls down in stinky hot summers - it's another layer you don't want. Plus, if you have to change for whatever reason, you gotta empty out all the pockets.

      @@veredictum4503 vests are good for layering. But it depends on what style you are going for. For me, I think it’s much easier to find a simple bag that will match all my outfits and always keep my pockets empty. If you are against the idea of a sling bag, then maybe consider a small backpack.

    I was actually considering the alpaca elements tech Mini case until I saw your review of this one and I’m thinking to myself. This is also a viable option, but I guess it will depend on how many items I carry. Would you say this would be a good every day essentials bag to carry around or do you think it’s big enough or too big for what I’m thinking of? Thank you very much.

      It depends how much, and what, you carry on a daily basis. If your every day essentials are minimal, then either bag should be fine. I THINK that the Tech Case Mini is smaller but deeper than the Go Sling Mini, but they should be be able to carry about the same volume.

    Any suggestions for the "something different" you might consider?

      When I bought this I was also looking at the Vanquest Dendrite. It has similar high visibility interior color, and similar pockets/organization. I don't have any personal experience with that Dendrite sling bag, but my Vanquest backpacks are built super-tough. (reviews on those to come when I get back home).

      Mountain Smith has the drift, and it looks pretty nice. Eberlestock has the Bando Bag, looks comparable to this pack and Eberlestock is a pretty trusted brand.

      @@tactikiller Agreed with Eberlestock as a good brand. I was looking at their HiSpeed bag for international travel but it turned out to be too heavy and bulky for urban use. Great for outdoor activity. I have the FAC Track and it's built like a tank; it's in storage with my SHTF supplies.

      @tactikiller Місяць тому

      @@PreparedToWander I ran the FAC for truck camping and it was just too heavy. I couldn't pack into it what I wanted to. A comfortable shelter/sleep system (tarp/hammock/under quilt/blanket), food, and spare clothes. Even empty it's heavier than I'd prefer, when packed I wouldn't want to wear it any longer than I had to. Swapped out to the Alps Mountaineering Nomad 75 and I'm much happier with it. Light weight and hold my needs.

      @@tactikiller I understand. It's a tradeoff of durability for comfort. I did a 2 night backpacking trip with the FAC and it was killing me. But I know it will survive anything.
      Now I'm using a 75 liter Osprey and it's good for urban use.

    When people carry luxrul bags in real life, they don't have the time or opportunity to look closely at the bag to spot such a great knockoff
