I’ve become a big fan of Alpaka of late. I have their tech case mini which can add a strap to become a sling in a pinch, probably enough for my needs where Alpaka slingin’ is concerned, though I appreciate how their dedicated slings seem a bit more thoughtful about EDC in their organization - specifically how they have areas that seem tailored to whatever tech/notebooks can fit at that specific size. Love roundup videos like this where we can see the different sizes side by side. Thanks!
Been known Alpaca since less than two year. I have about 7-8 of their products. None of them are backpacks, so all slings or smaller pouches. The Go Sling Nano must be my favorite. Got it in Green Axoflux, but I'm thinking about getting the Black X-pac too, since I like that material more (it's on all my other Alpaka products). The Go Sling Nano is indeed perfect to get your pockets empty. It fits an iPhone 15 Pro Max (even with case) easily in the dedicated padded compartment. For the rest it easily fits a Ridge wallet, AirPods, keys, tissues, a pen and some other small item (maybe a smaller cases for sunglasses or a foldable tripod/selfiestick for your phone). So let's say the stuff that is becoming just too much to put in all the pockets of your clothing. The Nano is however too small for over-ear headphones or a water bottle. The only water I have put in it so far, was in a Stanley hip flask of 230 ml, which fitted perfect with my iPhone, keys, Ridge wallet and tissues. I even used it with a small umbrella with a loop on the handle, which I attached to the string of the Go Sling Nano.
I have the mini, and interior is a bright blue ripstop nylon - not really an issue but worth noting that like you say, it seems that this is a material that may just be switched out for whatever is available at time of manufacture! Great sling though, looking forward to picking up the nano!
Brother pleeeeease make a review of the Aer Go Sling 2! Amazing video as always! I personally picked the Go Sling Nano and completely felt in love with it, I like the Crossbody feel for the essentials.
Helpful, thanks! Was the mini recently updated? The version described on their site has a 5 liter volume, and the magnetic key ring. Thoughts on the new size?
It’s funny since over the weekend alpaka released two more nano color options, so there are 4 different axoflux colors now, and two xpac. The nano sort of works as a tech pouch and desk caddy since it stands up alright and can lose the straps, those g hooks are a pain though. I do like the strap width and sewn in angle of the mini though, that might have two colors in xpac now if it isn’t sold out.
Hi Aaron, I've got a Microsoft Surface Pro 8 and looking for a new sling bag to carry it around. I know the Sling Go has a capacity for i pad 11" but just out of curiosity, can fit my Surface Pro in the protected compartment?! Waiting to see your specific review for Sling Go! Please review the max. capacity🙏🏼
Yo dude! I don't have a Surface so no idea if it fits or not. Always best to reach out to Alpaka customer support - be sure to let us know what they say 🙏
Hi Aaron. I usually travel with a steam deck and big Sony ANC headphones 🎧 that together will go to my backpack. During the boarding process for a long flight I have to put on my headphones and release my gaming device and it’s kinda stressful 😩. How can I fit those two in a sling. Which one to choose for a one bag travel, so I could put my 30 liter backpack under the seat and have steam deck and headphones with me in a separate bag? Would be nice if you make a video on that for us, gamers. Thanks man.
I’ve never gamed before so it’s not really my expertise haha, having said that I’d recommend reaching out to Alpaka to see which sling they recommend given the items you want to carry. I’m sure one of these slings + 30L bag will be the perfect travel combo
How is the axoflux? Is it big hair/dust magnet? I'm considering the regular, as it's design fits my work place vibe better than Aer Day Sling 3 Max I've been using. I would prefer Axoflux over the xpac, but not if it's hair magnet.
So much comparison in differences, still functionally merits. Reckon Ultra Man will choose the G Sling, Inspector Gadget will go for the Go Mini & without a doubt Astro Boy will grab the Nano. What this 3 Slingers have in common.? They all survived the wind tunnel test..! Cowabunga.!!
The Go Sling if you need a sling. The Tech Case if you need a tech case. If you are trying to do a two-for-one then neither are ideal, but I’d probably go with the Go Sling if you wear it everyday. I wouldn’t want to wear the Tech Case as a sling
I have all of these. The mini is my least favorite, and the fidlock thing is awkward on the chest. I like those maglokz. The just seem to fit the bag better. The nano is awesome, i carry it most days. The big is also really good. It can fit 6 beers 🍺❤😂
Just got the go skiing and agree it took some work and fiddling to get the strap hope I like it but once I did it is comfortable and allows me to have a good fit on my back. I do enjoy the magnetic which release buckle. I agree the strap is not it's strong point but overall it is a great sling allowing to carry my 11 inch iPad pro, Kindle, phone, charger cables, battery pack keys and passport as well as a500ml water bottle in a slim appearing package
i just bought the flight sling...i should have waited this comparison but anyway at least still alpaka. also can't wait for your women videos cause most of the items you feature are too big for me...i got 2 slings already, just waiting for the backpack for me.
@@Nomads.Nation just received my olive flight sling....i don't like it, i love it! very slim like hugs my frame and yet can hold stuff. i wish i could have waited a little longer though so i can use your link.

Glad to hear! We plan to do more soon
I just ordered the Nano as a pocket reliever, to double as a mini tech pouch to stash in the backpack while traveling. Neato!
Be sure to let us know what you think of it after testing a few weeks
Nice comparison. I love the Go Sling Nano. Hope you will be reviewing their Flight Sling.
Appreciated! Flight Sling review coming in a week or two
Love the flight sling.
Got my Go Sling Mini in XPac with orange liner, it's fantastic. Often becomes available in special colors (rather than just black)
awesome to hear you like it!
Awesome!
If you can, do the TomToc Wander T-26 sling, it's a 5.5l large sling for tech at an aggressive price.
We’ve got 2 Tomtoc reviews lined up, hopefully we can do this one soon as well

some bag brands stick religiously to certain colors/materials for certain model bags. Alpaka is not one of those companies lol
Looks like they’ve since released a V2 of the mini. Would love to see a review of the new version with the updated features.
You and me both lol
Very informative review and just got myself the nano! 🎉

I have a bunch of trips coming up this year and needed a secure sling. I just bought the Go Sling Mini with the link. Appreciate the code :)
thanks so much for using our link!
Thank you. Great review. I finally found a review thats not filmed in a dark basement.
no dark basements here lol
Helpful, thanks! Was the mini recently updated? The version described on their site has a 5 liter volume, and the magnetic key ring. Thoughts on the new size?
It might have been updated, Alpaka move crazy-fast so it’s hard to keep up lol. Can’t comment on the size til I review it
This video is very helpful! Thanks for this! Really helped me in choosing what bag to get!
Glad it was helpful!
Alpaka go sling vs bellroy 6L. Which one is more comfortable? When fully loaded
Bellroy imo
I literally just got my Go Mini today and I got the Dark Green XPac option. Not sure where you got your information.
Those were the options on the site when we recorded the video - but they are updating their colors/fabrics all the time
Perfect timing, looking for a new sling. Have you had the chance to review the eagle creek tour travel pack 40L?
Hope it helps! Haven’t reviewed any EC products yet, hoping to soon

Aaron, do you have plans to review the Grip Sling from Black Ember?
Already shot - will hopefully be live in a few weeks
@@Nomads.Nation my man!
Is there a review with more detail on the Go Sling largest model? Cant find it
will be live in a week or two

I really like the Axoflux. It picks up a bit more hair than XPAC (cuz obviously) but it’s far from a ‘magnet’ imo
Will the biggest one fit Steam Deck?
I don't own one, I'd recommend asking Alpaka customer support. Please let us know what they say 🙏
I found that thr regular strap is very hard to adjust, wonder if you find the sae thing?
I wouldn’t say very hard, no
Great video and comparisons. Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
how does the flight compared to the main family?
I prefer the Flight personally, but only slightly. Our Flight review will be live in a week or two
Techcase mini has more space than go sling nano or it's all the same ?
Pretty close I think
Which will fit a Bellroy tech kit a Owala 24Oz bottle?
I don’t have either so can’t say for sure, probably best to reach out to Alpaka to check with them
I’ve been waiting for this ❤
Stoked to finally get it live!
How would a memo bottle A6 look in the Reg Go Sling?
If I had one I’d tell you. Probably best to reach out to Aer - their customer support will get you sorted 💪🏻

Go sling mini or Element tech case max? 🤔
The Go Sling if you need a sling. The Tech Case if you need a tech case. If you are trying to do a two-for-one then neither are ideal, but I’d probably go with the Go Sling if you wear it everyday. I wouldn’t want to wear the Tech Case as a sling

6 beers = perfect size
Nice review. The name “Mini” is odd for the medium sized bag.
Cheers! And agreed, it don’t feel mini lol
I considered the Go Sling for iPad Pro carry but that strap and fidlock are a deal breaker
they are a lot for sure

@@MHS927I love fidlock but I think the removable strap and excess padding are what throws me; it seems to add excess bulk that would bother me.
