MORE DTF Film Testing On My EPSON EcoTank 15000

- In this video I test a couple more DTF prints on my wide format printer. Since I've bought this printer, I have since removed a couple of the rollers to see if it would help with the roller mark issue. I use my Epson Ecotank 15000m CenDale DTF film and powder, along with my new Vevor 16 x 20 inch heat press. As you will see, I am still having issues, but will continue to test my setting until I get it right. Thank you for stopping my.

omg I am having the EXACT same issues with my printer and now with the paper peeling. I was soooo close to just screaming internally lol Then I found you and I see that I am not alone! lol I hope we can get this right, I have waisted so much film and tshirts ugh
That's why I started testing on small remnants so I don't keep washing product.
Thanks for the video. I’m having this same problem. One thing I learned about DTF is that it’s a cold peel. The shirt looks good. Take your time and maybe try letting it cool a little longer. I hope there’s another video out showing how you fixed these issues.
Thank you. I am planning on it for sure.
In your printer setting, go to maintenance. Change the density to -5 and it will stop leaving tracks through your prints.
I have done that. Maybe I need to do -10. Hmm???
I get the roller marks, I’ll try this
If you use the Silhouette mat to the transfer film it will print correctly every time.. also you must take out the last set of rollers. I have the Et8550 and it works great. I have printer 200 large A3 pages. Good Luck
Which Silhouette mat?
My ET1500 was doing the same. It kept jamming, so I taped the film to the paper, and then it would print, but it would stop part way through my image every time. It's so frustrating. I really want to get this to work!
You just have to keep at it. Its a pain, but I like playing around with it.
Mine is being a big pain and doing the same as LilyBecca’s .
I bought a different film that comes with a reusable piece of board that is supposed to help. We shall see.
@LilyBecca really? That sounds promising. Please let us know how it turns out.
OMG same problem 😑
I wouldn’t call it a fail, I would call it a success! With some testing the wood will look awesome and will open up so many new possibilities for crafters. I wonder if the tshirt would have been the same result if you ripped it like a bandaid quickly?
I really enjoyed the video and look forward to a test video with wood if you do one. I love the dtf hack it’s a great option if you don’t have thousands to buy a DTF printer. So far I’ve had success with my smaller printer but am yet to try it with my ET-8550. It’s all trial and error like you said 😊 thank you ❤🇦🇺
Thank you for your kind words & input. I appreciate you. Thanks for watching.💕
yeah I just got my ET-15000 today and was so excited to to make larger prints but I can't even get the printer to see the film, much less print on it. My ET-2800 had no problem what-so-ever feeding the film (WITH NO TAPING TO ANOTHER PIECE OF PAPER) and it printed beautifully. I tried the taping method on the 15000 but that actually caused the paper to really jam. Changed printer settings a million times...nothing. I am at a complete loss. At this point, I wish I had roller marks because that would mean that I was actually able to print on the film.
I am so sorry to hear you're having so many issues.
Yep, exact same issues!!!!! It's not only with the film, but others are having issues with the films for screen printing. My question is what rollers (where) did you remove? I've taped the ends also like you have done, and it still gives me the paper jam error. Did you update your drivers? This is sooooo frustration.... Yep, like you NAILs....nope....money goes to my crafts....LOL
If you open and look where the print heads are, there are several small rollers, I removed the three in the middle to see if it helped. It did a bit, but still seeing roller marks, but mostly when I habe more black in my image.
Hey, I think I got a bit of a good thing with the feeding of the film problem. First thing I did...I took some CARD STOCK I got from Hobby Lobby. I used Elmer's REPOSITIONABLE GLUE STICK...AND DABBED 3 PLACES ON TOP OF THE CARD STOCK. I laid the FILM on top of card stock...lining up edges.. Second thing: Being it card stock and film, I set the EP 15000 to print ENVELPOPE OR THICK PAPER, and GLOSSY. My paper is 8.5 x 11 letter size. I set the Printer Preference as well my Computer. Well, it went through that Printer like regular paper would.....to my delight!!!! Wish I could show how well that fed through, no roller marks either. The Repositionable glue can be rubbed off AFTER you powder the image. I know not all Fixes are different....BUT, this is definitely worth a shot for you and others to add to the arsenal. My card stock was white. Hope this helps...
BTW.... using the card stock behind the film, may even stop the issue with only coming up with half prints. The card stock keeps the film even all the way through the print....😁
Wow! That's great to hear
I'll definitely have to give that a shot. Thank you! 😁
Hmmmm, I have that same printer for over a year and never ran into that problem. Maybe because I set it to thick paper.
can you verify if this can do 13x19 borderless? i know it does 13x19 with border, but i want borderless. not sure if i should buy this printer.
I believe it does. It's been a hot minute since I've printed borderless.
Hello there. I have seen a lot of people tape the film to one piece of copy paper. Just one piece of tape to the top edge of the paper.
I hate wasting product, too!
I only use my blackboard for brushing rhinestones into flock after I have placed the template on a chopping board, which I ordered from Amazon. The dollar tree has chopping boards also, but they are not as large.
My fingernails are undone also. 😂
Maybe one day I’ll be able to get a large format printer and a larger auto heat press. I use a 15x15 VEVOR. I also have a 12x15 Swing Away 8 in 1 heat press, which I use mainly for the attachments, and to hover the platen over the DTF film for curing. It works great for curing because I don’t have to hold it while it’s curing the design.
You’re doing great by showing your struggles. That way others can see the entire process, and what does and does not work.
I wonder if you could have placed the film back down before removing it, and pressing it again to get the pieces to adhere to the T-shirt. I wonder if you accidentally brushed the powder off with your hand when you were erasing the black marks off the film. I have seen others use a scraper tool, or even a weeding tool to scratch it off after curing the design.
I think I have seen someone sublimate on wood before, but mostly I’ve seen people use HTV on wood.
I usually watch videos that show methods that other crafters use to successfully do different things.
I enjoyed watching your video at 1 something in the morning. I also clicked LIKE, subscribed, and turned on my notifications for your future videos.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on everything at the end. Don’t stop testing, but maybe use smaller testing materials. I picked up a lot of different fabric remnants from Joanne’s fabric and craft store.
I’m curious to know if you were able to scrape it off the wood or not.
Best wishes!!!
❤
I always have to do it with this printer.
I appreciate all you input. Its great to hear what my viewers thoughts are...and nice to know what you're trying out as well. Thank you for watching & joining as a subscriber. Much appreciated. 😊
@@mgcraftsandmore oh yes I’ll do that now. 😊
I've done wood...but I laminate first....then A-Sub it. I did Christmas cutting boards.
That's sounds like a cool project.
And you have to put like a composition book in the paper tray to keep it up 2
What paper setting do you put on the printer for dtf
I usually use plain paper bright white. That works best for me. I've tried a lot of different ones and I like this one the best.
did you remove any wheels mine has lines
Yes, i removed the three in the middle, but I still have the same issue. I might have another go, and do more to clean it up.
What did you do to make the printer print a full page? I finally got the DTF to feed and now it won’t print but part of the graphics? I’m ready to throw this printer in the trash
so, I will share this with you, you can set the paper margins to zero, and it will print almost borderless, also, you can also set your paper settings when ready to print. Not sure if this helps, but until yesterday, I literally had this issue. Depending on the type of printer you have, you can play with each setting until you get the one you need, and save it.
Hi I think your problem is not the rollers. I have seen lots of videos with this exact printer and different paper but every video that uses CenDale film gets those marks. Maybe try a different film to correct the marks
I'll have to give it a shot. I have smaller Yamation sheets right now
?? Did you convert this printer to sublimate.
Yes I did. My apologies if I didn't explain that in this video, but I do have a video where I did that, although its sped up through some of it. " How I converted my Epson ecotank".
what kind of tape are using when you tape film to paper ?
Its heat tape I bought off Amazon.
Have u tried glossy setting someone said use that
Yes I have tried many different ones. I just have to give in & use up some of my product in order to test & get what I need.
You have to take that roller bar out the machine
This is exactly what I’m dealing with 🤦🏾♀️
Did you figure this out? Fixing to send this printer back😢
@user-fv9bk2ri6q I'm still playing around with the settings. My regular prints come out Great Wealth Transfer, its just the DTF prints I'm constantly having the roller mark issue.
I’m having trouble feeding it even taping it in
@Ladybear09 I'll be showing you how its worked for me, at the end of my next video. Hopefully I can get it up by Saturday morning.
CenDale film is the problem. I have seen lots of videos using this printer and different film worked great but every video using CenDale film has the marks when it come to the black ink
