    You are literally a skin and hair queen! I need to find these hair products, or something similar, as I never even considered my hair products as a cause for the very sexual bacne! :) The skin on my face is doing great but the back, not so much...thank you, lady! Your editing and video quality really inspire me, so much; I invested in a new lens after literally drooling over your blurry background. #videonerdisms

      ***** Oooh, speaking of! That's a video idea - natural ways to clear and prevent body acne (I want to say you haven't done one, but I'm not 100%, but then if you had, I'd be all over it).

      I know I'm not Kassie and I would love to hear her advice about this subject, but I almost completely cleared up my body acne by using organic extra virgin coconut oil as a body moisturizer! It's antibacterial properties really helped my skin. Just make sure you don't goop it on or else your skin will be too greasy and the product can build up. But I found that using a thin layer and really massaging it into my skin after a shower cleared my bacne, got rid of any razor bumps or ingrown hairs, and my skin is so soft and glowy!

      Rinse conditioner out of hair, then wash your back, good bye bacne.

    I've watched this six times today (so far... the night is still young haha). Not only do you provide the most amazing tips about beauty and health and lifestyle, you are always so precise and well spoken that I just love watching your videos over and over again. I feel like I absorb some new information every time I watch it because although your videos aren't terribly long, they are paaacked of awesome information and footage. I definitely appreciate your precision, because some youtubers can ramble for fifteen minutes and still not have anything substantial to say! Since I'm writing a novel anyway, and I never commented before, I might as well add in that you inspired me to be a lot more conscious about what I put in and on my body. My skin has almost completely cleared up because of your advice, my hair is healthier and thicker, and my body is healthier thanks to all the nutrients I feed it with instead of quick and processed foods. You also taught me how amazing it is to have an open mind and constantly be learning new things and having dialogues with those that might think differently than I do. So, in short, please keep doing what you are doing! :)

    Kassie, I have a question about the Slap. I read it has an elastic band inside to hold the cap in place while you sleep. Is it very tight? I'm really weird because if I wear sunglasses or a hair band for more than an hour, I get a headache from the pressure on my temples, so I wonder if the Slap would do the same. It sounds like such a cool product though. I'm totally going to try the combination of dry brushing and oil application with a muslin cloth tomorrow. What a genius idea! You rock, as always! x

    • @CloudyApples

      Andrea Anonymous I tried, but my hair got seriously static and it was so uncomfortably cold to touch. I don't know, maybe the quality wasn't good enough. I think that a hat would be better because my hair wouldn't move around.

    Kassy, ever since I stumbled upon your channel, my life had changed for the better. I recently switched from store bought cleansers/lotions to natural oils, and the results were amazing! I nearly got rid of my eczema. (Avocado oil works wonders). I've also slowly started to incorporate natural/organic foods and products into my daily routine and my body has just been loving it. Not just your videos regarding health, but your ones that have to deal with being yourself, or asking that one boy out has just helped me in ways you can't even imagine. Thank you Kassy, from the bottom of my heart! I hope you never stop making videos (:

    Wow I never thought of moisturizing after the shower like that! I am always super resistant to applying lotion all over cuz it takes forever & I end up feeling sweaty & sticky cuz its just too much. But buffing oil into ur skin... now that I could get into! Cuz ur working the oil in, helping it to be absorbed, & the exfoliation aspect is right up my alley, as I've always been obsessive about exfoliation lol Ooh not to mention u look so shiny & glowing when u use an oil, & I dont really find that with lotion. So thanks for the unique tip! I'll definitely try that!

    • @CloudyApples
      @CloudyApples  10 років тому +3

      I used to hate that sticky feeling because I have naturally oily skin so that was a feeling I tried to avoid. But as I get older, I'm really starting to appreciate feeling nice and moist :P haha. It definitely absorbs! I just throw on some sweatpants and ignore it and after a while, I don't feel greasy at all!

    Hey! I would love a suggestion from you! I get really dry hands in the winter. It gets to the point where my skin cracks and bleeds--it's very annoying and painful. I do wash my hands a lot because I'm very cleanly, but I make sure to moisturize my hands every night. I usually use an almond hand and nail cream from The Body Shop, it's a delightful cream, but it doesn't seem to work well for me. ***** do you have any suggestions for keeping my hands moisturized? Like maybe a different hand cream or something? I'm a busy girl who needs a (hopefully) quick and simple solution. Thank you so much in advance. I just love watching your videos and I've been watching you for a couple years now! Stay awesome, girl. :)

    • @CloudyApples
      @CloudyApples  10 років тому +2

      When I was waiting tables, my hands were always SO dry. You should try to bring a gentle, moisturising soap with you to work, because a lot of hand soaps are sooo drying! I use an oil-based soap and try to follow up hand washing with a good moisturizer (or oil) that can penetrate my skin!

      I have the same thing. Up until now the only thing that worked for me (just a little) is hemp creme (body shop) or argan oil hand creme (dr. organic). When it reeallly gets bad (my hands actually swell up because of the skin cracking), I use an extra fat fat layer and wear cotton gloves with the fingertips cut off so I can still type, etc.

      I have severely dry hands, to the point where they will crack and it hurts to move them, plus they get bumpy and itchy because of my eczema. I used to put on steroid creams every day to help with it, but this product was an ABSOLUTE life saver! I use Burt's Bees Ultimate Care Hand Cream with Baobab oil and it cured my dry hand by the second day that I started using it. I've repurchased it three times and still can't get enough! And it's 99% natural and extremely affordable.(: Anyways, I HIGHLY recommend it! www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Care-Hand-Cream-3-2/dp/B00BB683XS

    I recently bought some coconut oil and started using it as a mask before I wash my hair (which I also do every 4-5 days, thanks to you- and I've noticed it's a lot healthier).My hair feels pretty soft and even though I have some split ends because I use heat, I can see that my hair is soft and healthy and shiny. I really want to try using something more than just coconut oil, as soon as I find some more money- somehow! I used to have a avocando oil hair mask and it worked very well but I guess I should try new things, until I find what works best for me!

    I love feeling all silky.. I mean, who doesn't, right? But my hair, sigh, my hair is a whole completely different story. I bleached my ends a while ago for the ombre look & since I've let it grow out. So while my roots & most of my length are virgin (greys & all =/ ) the bottom 6 inches feel like straw. Literally, my ends feel like hay. My hair is medium length. To the middle of my back, like to my bra clasp. I've thought about cutting it off into an asymmetrical bob, but when my man&I met my hair was short, so he really doesn't want me to cut it. But these ends tho, I just need to chop it off. Anyway, end rant haha ^_~

    Glad you found something Terry can stand the smell of lol. I do something similar with my hair at night. I just use silk scarves to cover my hair. It keeps it shiny and soft like your hat! Loved the comedy in the beginning :)

    I currently have 0 moneys so when the day comes that I finally get myself a job (which better be soon because I start college next year) I will go on a shopping spree and buy everything you recommend! You are the only person on youtube that I trust when it comes to skin/hair/body care. xD

    I think great diy hair product is coconut oil and water. I just filled up a travel sized spray bottle with water and added about one tablespoon of coconut oil (the one I have hardens up a bit so I put hot water in a cup and put it in that so that it would become more liquidy, and then I stirred it together and put it in the spray bottle). It makes your hair smell like coconut (I have a friend who didn't like that so she added a few drops of vanilla), and it leaves your hair so soft and smooth. It's also very good for your hair and it strengthens it!

    You are like the oil queen! You got me hooked on avocado oil and coconut oil! I use oil for everything now! :P I'm slowly trying to use more natural products/foods because of you and I am soooo extremely thankful! I looove seeing how much hour channel has grown since I've been a part of it since you were around 40k subs!

    Hey Kassie! I have an absolute mess of a skin, from the tiny red dots on the pores on my legs and arms to the fact that it never fully heals even after the smallest of cat scratches, so I completely stopped trying to take care of it for quite a long time. But ever since I started watching you I've been trying much harder to take better care of it, you inspire me so much to be healthy and to generally take good care of my body. I just wanted to give you a huge thank you and a virtual hug for that. And while we're on the topic, do you happen to have any recommendations on hair-removal or incredibly incredibly dry skin? * thank you thank you thank you * Much love to you and Terry!

    • @CloudyApples
      @CloudyApples  10 років тому +2

      I react really badly to cat scratches, my skin hates it. Would you get claw guards for your cat? I guess it's not practical if the cat goes outside. Thank you so much for your amazing comment. Exfoliating and moisturising really helps my dry patches. But be careful with exfoliating your face, find the most gentle exfoliant you can, whether it be a muslin cloth or a hands-off alpha hydroxy acid. As for hair removal, it's definitely a work in progress because I'm a hairy gal :P haha.

    • @the.social.fabric
      @the.social.fabric 10 років тому

      With four cats and a dog in the house it's quite hard to avoid them! I will definitely try the dry brush-exfoliation-oil method, I don't know what will work if that doesn't. I have no issues with my face so I'll just leave it alone, hence the sensitivity of my skin. Thanks a lot once more, I hope you have a lovely evening!

    I love every single one of your videos. Now I must run and but those products. Btw I wanted to update you...a while back you mad a video on depression and I commented that I wanted to get off the anti depressants and you of course cautioned me but encouraged too. Well I weaned myself off of them very very very slowly, under the care of my Dr. of course, and it's been 3 months since I've taken them and I feel sooo much better. I still have moments when I feel down and I have to be careful of what I eat (lost 20 lbs so far) so as to not feel sick and get even more down. But I'm so pleased I stopped taking them. Thank you for being an inspiration

    I just wanna say, another awesome video! I have fallen out of my dry brushing routine since I had my baby 9 months ago but I'm going to do it tonight! I want to try buffing the oil in with the cloth but I just apply oil to my wet skin with my hands and then put on a robe to "cure". :)
