THANK YOU!!! Flame Sensor had thick carbon build up. Used fine grit sand paper to clean. Furnace works perfectly again just in time for tonight’s 29 degree temp 👏👏👏
Thank you! My flame sensor just needed cleaning! So glad I didn't have to call someone to come troubleshoot.
Thanks - my furnace had the short run problem - started for 10 seconds and then went out. 19 year old furnace - opened it up and cleaned the sensor as directed (and lots of other stuff) Fixed it! Thanks for saving the service call!!
Thanks - the very first suggestion to clean the flame sensor took care of my problem. Saved me a service call fee to polish it.
Thanks a lot man! Only had to watch your 2 minute video and I fixed my furnace that has been giving me trouble for weeks now! Much appreciation!

GOOD VIDEO.
This just saved me hello from South west PA, my problem was the first option (cleaning the thermo) watch this and add some prayer and you’re good to go!
my igniter & pilot light don't always go on at the same time. especially if my unit has been off for awhile. once it starts (after turning it on & off a few times) it works ok until it's been off awhile. i've had the gas valve, control board & burners replaced. inducer motor works fine. the inducer motor can run for 15 or 20 minutes & then the thing fires up & runs fine the rest of the day. if the inducer motor runs for awhile i'll go out & hit the breaker switch off, turn it back on & it fires up . i've seen the ignitor come on but not pilot flame. could it be the thermostat?
No mention of the limit switch ??? I would expect better from Repair Clinic.
Thnks it work now i coul stay warm with my family
Thank you! Flame sensor was the problem. Quick hit with some sand paper and a vacuum and all is well again.

Helped with my Colman gas furnace. Mine is a high efficient furnace which will create water when heating. So drain didn't work well some water went into flame sensor. I sanded it put it back on now the flame finally stay on
God I love repair clinic.
My furnace runs for 5 minutes then stops. Could it still be a flame sensor?
I shut off my furnace with the light switch is this right do I need to shut off anything else
Downflow Colman gas trailer home furnace. Calls for heat burner on fan comes on burner goes out fan finished cycle, BUT fan kicks back on and blows for a minute or a bit more again. What might be the cause? Anybody?
In my case it was starting up slow then the motor would stall. Cap was good but the relay couldn't hold sustained power and acted like a bad cap
One issue that we faced was that the technicians refuse to replace the control board that we ordered saying they only replace parts that they ordered themselves. Any tips to find technicians who will replace the control board that we ordered from repair clinic?
Yeah because they can't gouge you on the price. Super easy to fix yourself only takes about 5-10 minutes to replace. Take a picture first, so you can keep the plugs in the right spot
my gas furnace starts up like it should and runs just until the glow plug igniter shuts down when it shuts down, so does the gas to the burner. they both shut down at the same time .i was hoping someone would know the cause my gas furnace starts up like it should and runs just until the glow plug igniter shuts down when it shuts down, so does the gas to the burner. they both shut down at the same time .i was hoping someone would know the cause
Ever find a fix this sounds like what mine is doing
What makes inducer reverse after burners start
Your furnace might blow up. Call a licensed technician to buy a new furnace

My furnace will ignite then when the fan is supposed to come you can hear it try to start. It will hum for a minute then shut down. The next time the furnace will do a complete cycle.
See this isn't what mine does. The blower comes on for about 10 seconds then shuts off, then about 10 seconds later it comes on again and stays on that time until it gets warm enough then shuts off. What's weird is when it turns on the first time after it shuts off for 10 seconds it still sounds like another fan is running until the blower comes back on again if that makes sense. I'm not experienced with heating systems but thought there was only one blower fan for the system. It's an all in one unit outside made by goodman model number is gpg1336070m41ba. Maybe it's the burners I am hearing through the intake? Idk.
trucker V I have Goodman unit as well doing the same thing. I cleaned the flame sensor and that solved the problem.
@@kuhlcee ok awesome. Thanks alot. I will do that and see what happens. I mean it has never done it before and nothing has changed it just started on its own so whatever it is couldn't be a huge issue.
My unit is 11 years old and had never done it until the last few weeks. It started with one cycle then start until last 2 days when it went to 2 cycles then start. This morning all it did was cycle but not start and the temperature in the house was dropping. I was going to have my HVAC guy come to check it before I came across this video and another just like it and got it running again. Apparently it’s supposed to be cleaned once a year. Something I wasn’t told before.
@@kuhlcee I'm not sure how old mine is but I've lived in this house for 3 years and it hasn't been done. I didn't know about this either. I'm going to do it today since we have a big snow storm hitting this weekend and very cold. Don't want it to just blow cold air inside. Thanks for the info.
Mine was just doing the same thing. After shutting the breaker off..taking out the flame sensor and cleaning it with the abrasive side of a dry sponge and then one by one restarting the machine..gas on temperature up then turn it on and it should fire up no problem
I HAVE A DUCANE FURNACE, BUT IT IS NOT IN THE LIST. WHY NOT?
