I broke my teeth on Bookers over 20 years ago when it was $60 and a much better pour than it seems to be now.... I can't pull the trigger any longer at $120 in my area. Still impressed with Knob Creek 9 120 proof for $44 at Sam's Club in my area.
Totally different experience than you guys on the Little Book. The Infinite is one of the best Jim Beam products I've gotten to try. The depth of flavor carried through that pour was amazing. To each their own I suppose.
The LB infinite was a bit of a letdown when I first cracked it. After letting the glass sit out awhile it really opened up. Bottle is about halfway down now and it’s really opened up and I think it drinks pretty special, maybe one of my top 10 this year.
I am a Beam fan but have only been in the bourbon game a little over a year. The only Booker's I have tried is the 24-01 Springfield batch, and I absolutely love it!! Just cracked my second bottle of it. Will grab the Reserve if I see it in Dallas, TX for a decent price.
Was In Kentucky last week. Tried nearly everything at beam. Totally agree on the infinite being sharp. I got a pretty strong astringency on the back end. Best thing I tried from them was the Jacob well 211 month. Did buy an overholt 11 at the distillery. Then instead of infinite or ogd16, ordered the Jacob well 211 month shipped to my door for around the same price
Literally what I was about to say. When you deal with high proofers, the palate is so influenced and blown out quickly. It's why I can't think this is a super reliable take on it.
Kind of the reason MMCA doesn't blind well, especially against bigger, more brash bourbons. Going from the punch of Booker's to this feels like it didn't get a fair shake.
I'd give my two "Eye" teeth to only pay $350 for those two bottles. The going rate here in So Cal in the only shop that has either is $400 for Bookers and $300 for Little Book. I hate paying so much, but the Little Book sounds like it might be worth the price of admission.
I’m not the biggest Bookers fan but a friend got me the LB Infinite when he was at the festival last month. Its better than regular bookers but agree the finish disappears. Its just not my profile
Infinite, RR15, Cellar, bomberger…I’ve been lucky enough to acquire these this year so far. Weirdly I think they all have a lackluster finish. RR15 being best but still not stellar.
Sorry, but I never trust what the Bourbon Junkies say. Dan is always all over the map and what he loves today he hates tomorrow and then loves it again two weeks later.

The LB Infinite is outstanding. Love how the older whiskies in the blend shine through.
IMHO this is the best Little Book release

Just bought Little Book today for $179.99.
Can't wait to try it.

Infinite is the superior pour hands down.
Jason of Mash and Drum said the finish is the best part. Of th3 Little Book.

Just picked up a Booker's the Reserves over LB Infinite. Trusting in y'all and my love of Bookers that this was the way to go!! 😂😂😂
Bookers Reserve is a Fantastic bottle, absolutely no ethanol fresh crack for 1oz $9 at Liquor Barn.
Good reviews
Got both at kbf and enjoyed them. Beam did the best with getting people through the lines
Your review on the LB couldn’t be more opposite from the Junkies. I love the contrasting review.

Wonder if your opinion changes if you start with the infinite before the bookers

To me the Little book is slow developing sip. It is a sit and sip. The flavors come gentle and slow, it is a no rush sip.

Odd on the infinite. I think it’s awesome

Junkies were over the moon for the Little Book. Interesting comparison.
Almost like the junkies don’t know what they’re talking about
laser code? 😂

@@JonBlankmanthey're great at marketing and being loud lol
I thought infinite was blah too. I got a sour wine note on the finish too.
