I love Feeder, all of their songs are great, they are extremely talented musicians. This song is in one of my favorite movies, "Can't Hardly Wait" it works so well in that movie.
Same, I am most definitely stuck in my time. The 90's was a great decade to be a teenager.... there was so much to do and none of it involved a mobile telephone or a computer...
+Bermi ok, well.... at the end of the 90's, 98 I got my first 'brick'... a terrible device that was big and clunky and as fun as snake was, I had better things to do with my time. It was so expensive to run that if it did have access to the net (not sure when WAP first reared it's ugly head) probably wouldn't have used it much... but not too many had them at that point. yes, we had a PlayStation... but, I was referring more to the internet, which in it's mainstream incarnation was still in dial up infancy, again expensive to run and there was no emphasis on 'sicial media'/netflix. None of that mattered, I was going to free parties often, gigs were cheap (v97 where I saw this band cost £56 for the weekend camping)... I think the sentiment was lost on you there, however... I'm not saying it was better, just different... a really great time to grow up in.
I'm 36, and can safely say 1992-1997 were the best years ever. Internet was JUST at the right level of not overtaking your life, zero social media, music of substance was popular, movies were dope, style was on point, and the world wasn't totally angry at each other (ish) - I look back on it now and it seems almost mythological - sitting in the track field while my "cool" girlfriend smoked cigs while we listened to Dookie on tape. Sigh.
I first heard of this song in college when a guy played it for me on his guitar. I suspected he was lying when he told me that he wrote it himself so I Google the lyrics the next day and sure enough, there it was! Haa!
Haha! That sounds like something I would've tried to do back in high school!? Although with a lesser known Smashing Pumpkins song from like a B-side or something. Although, no one could've called me out on it back then... since Google didn't exist yet. Lol
This song was briefly played in the movie Can't Hardly Wait...I always liked the way it sounded but I never could figure out what it was called...now I have a the Shazam on my G1 and it actually got the song for me when I put the phone next to the tv...thank you shazam lol
Jon,I'm thinking of you today. The most talented & attractive person/ musician I've ever met.You are the most inspirational & influential musician to me besides the greatest FRANZ LISZT!You changed my life in many many ways ! I can count the ways. You touched my heart when I met you for the 1st time & til this day! One of the most gorgeous & tender soul owners that I've ever seen/ met in my life. I REALLY wish things were different. There's nobody like JON LEE ! YOU WERE/ ARE ONE OF 10 BILLIONS!THE ONE & ONLY! ALL MY LOVE & GRATITUDE & RESPECT .
Ive just finished work and Feeder just had lunch in my restaurant on their way to play a gig in Southampton, got a photo, autograph and chatted for like an hour, OMG :)
This was the first album I ever bought, blimey, I was 7. I was that wierd kid that listen to 'that loud music' lol, it's still one of my favourite records. RIP Jon H Lee
I remember being 10 years old and hearing this song on the radio like all the time and wondering to myself "whats high?".... 15 years later, you never hear this anymore... At least I know what getting high with my friends is now...
I first heard this amazing song back in the very late 90s when the end credits were rolling for the low budget teenage romantic comedy 'Cant hardly wait' featuring cutey Jennifer Love Hewitt.
it reminds me of the time i was best friends with Jesus and we pulled a silly prank on Yahweh. To date, Yahweh still does not know we did it!! he kept blaming it on Loki because he is full of Trickery.
It was 1998.....cruised to the movies in my jeep with the top down, checked out this flick on opening day, went straight to hastings got the soundtrack....nothings been the same since
20 years ago I saw them open for Jerry Cantrell and was floored. Aand this song I knew from Cant Hardly Wait and now 20 years later they are my favorite band.
Why can't I remember this song? Seriously I have no recollection of this song and it scares me 'cause it's a song I should remember. I remember all the other amazing '90s songs
Holy Shit is this song really from 97? I remember it in my late teens but I didnt think it was that long ago...used to love this song :) Love my 90s generation man
I first discovered this song in a Dragonball AMV, and asked for and received the album for Christmas that year. Still might have found them through 'Can't Hardly Wait' but wouldn't have had my experiences with that album.
He died in 2002 but this Song was played at his funaral so it wassnt created as a tribute but it was played. RIP man Feeder, the most underrated ban in the world

i love you 90's
+Max Chawner-Davis you'll just have to befriend people in their 30's. I was 15 in '96 and I'm pretty sure I'm still stuck in the ninties.
Same, I am most definitely stuck in my time. The 90's was a great decade to be a teenager.... there was so much to do and none of it involved a mobile telephone or a computer...

+colintron LOL! No, just some clown who lied about writing Grant's song ! 😂
Haha! That sounds like something I would've tried to do back in high school!? Although with a lesser known Smashing Pumpkins song from like a
B-side or something. Although, no one could've called me out on it back then... since Google didn't exist yet. Lol

I met these guys in 1997 and they were very cool, humbled by the exposure they had then. I made them dinner.
I was there too mate, they were bloody epic. How they remain so under-rated is beyond me.

nice, love 90's
Toooooday is gonna be the day that...oh wait sorry...
Still dig this song
easily the best song on Polythene
most underappreciated band ever.
Too true! There's one vocal bit that sounds like Mayonaise too. I still quite like this song though. Reminds me of being a teenager.
God how I miss the 90's
The "I will" in this song sounds exactly like the "I will" in "Mayonaise" by TSP. Other than that, this is a good song.
I never put that together. Totally true
Mike Hamilton There seems to be alot of pumpkins influence on their first album Polythene
I always thought this song sounded somewhat like Today
The guitar tone reminds me a lot of the guitar tone from siamese dream
Mike Hamilton my fave Smashing Pumpkins song. Just thought I’d let all know. Lmao.
this song is awesome!
