This is the exact review i was looking for! More of a "lifestyle" review than someone sitting at a desk reciting specs.
I also love that you showed us how it looks while on your shoulders. I'm a girl about your size and didn't know if I would look silly hauling it around. I think I'll pick up the 3 since it's on sale and has an aux imput.

Thanks for the nice review. I will add that you can actually link up to 100 party boost speakers. :) If you have three or more linked, they will all play both sound channels.
One thing with partyboost you can connect up to 100 partyboost compatible speakers together

Would you say it handles all types of sounds well, has a whole sound and are you disappointed with the lack of a mic?
What has your real life usage been like such as volume % to playtime, durability, charge time, battery life, battery health etc...?

Truth be told I own the blue and black I own 2 Xtreme 3s in my personal opinion for $379 plus taxes almost 400 damn near it should be louder but again my personal opinion they're great don't get me wrong but they should be louder for the money 💰💰
My GF does the same with my speakers pokes them in like that lol! She burst them ill burst her lol!
I own the JBL flip and charge series I think this speaker would be the next to get!

The charge 5 I own as well and ain't too far off in sound and cheaper the Xtreme 3 is a great speaker I'm just saying the sound quality's not worth 400 but again just one man's opinion

The bass is not crazy at all. You have not had many speakers if you think that’s bass. It is very loud but bass wise it lacks

Extreme 3 vs partybox on the go pls
JBL always has strong bass but from my experience the highs and mids get muddied a bit, especially in a dynamic track with heavy drums and sudden acoustic shifts. How does this one handle the kids and highs?

Jbl is more for hiphop and edm, so theres not that much going on
Mids were a bit muddy and there was too much highs, thankfully you can change that bit with the new update and custom EQ
To me the only downside to this speaker is taking it on vacation. A little too big for a carry on.

Is it loud?
With the app Flat Equalizer - Bass Boost from the playstore to use on stuff like spotify it actually is:
60Hz = 8db
230Hz = 6db
910Hz = -3db
3kHz = 5db
14kHz = 8db
One bar loudness and bass boost, it can handle that.
Louder and the sounds gets crappy, you can still talk while its blasting, amazing for a portable device actually.

Over 60% volume level the Xtreme 3 don't have much bass. The Soundcore Motion Boom at fraction of the price will blow this away with it's deep 40 Hz bass which it maintains well even at 80% volume. Its not always about the brand and logo that offers the best value, sometimes cheap things can do better.
You might also wanna try the W-King D9 which is louder than X3 and sounds more crisp when you max out the volume. But its got upper bass rather deep bass which could be a deal breaker for a true sound enthusiastic person.
