- Finally, I have a set of the genuine drivers from inside the Soundlink Mini bluetooth speaker. My word, do they crush the clones in every aspect! All those who advised me that they are incredible; I completely agree.

Insane peak to peak excursion with hardly any distortion. Amazingly clean .
Honestly I'm not the biggest fan of Bose but even I have to admit that the excursion of this driver is really impressive at how much it moves without distortion, awesome video! :)
Of course that is Bose the pioneer when it comes to speakers

it has heavy processing hence.
but the result is high resolution sound and vivid.
This is not speaker ,this is subwoofer ,that's why there is clean bass

The excursion may be amazing but even in a box you can feel the speaker vibrate a fair amount so I'd say it could do with less excursion like the jbl charge 2 drivers
Vangerino vangerino the charge 2 drivers do also have a lot of excursion, when hooked up to a different amp that is, if you want me to make a video about them I could.

Well the natural instruments get deep not that it bassy but compared to digital music true audio quality is very deep if you can play wav files on your speakers then listen to the same song on UA-cam you will be like where did all the bass go

These speakers pump way more bass than the JBL's from the same size. I've own a Soundlink mini for 5 years already and it is still going strong. If anybody says it 'sounds like crap' they don't know what they're talking about. These long-throw drivers are way better than most of the majority of the bluetooth portable speakers out there.

he is so right. in fact, slightly wrong only. he only wrong about the "majority". there is no comparison when it comes to the overall sound quality vs size. soundlink mini is the best.
@@Lights480 well... now after 3 years i heard one or two soundlink minis and i need to say that you are right. At this size it definitely is one of the best and better than a jbl flip or charge. It could not have the amount of rumble like a charge 3 or 4 has because of its size, but from the overall sound quality it is definitely better. It sounds so smooth not tuned for partys like a JBL.

Julian France are people not capable of finding their own speakers on ebay? It is unlikely that a seller will have individual or pairs of real soundlink drivers
WorldsDeepestBass I'm just saying the best way to tell is by looking on the markings on the magnet, and you never showed us a picture of the bottom in this video. Not saying people can't find them on ebay, but It would be hard to tell if their real. Also your probably right about there being no real ones.
You can tell they're real from the terminals - all modern bose drivers use the pin type terminal mounted on a plastic flange. There is a QR code on the bottom and you see at the beginning that it is a driver removed from a real soundlink.

The aliexpress and ebay clones are absolute rubbish. I've not had the chance to play with real ones, but of the couple of clones I've tried and tested...stay well away. Terrible T/S parameters and driver to driver consistency.
BiggityBoggityBoo I couldn't agree more. I thought the clones were okay until I played with these. So much better for excursion, musicality and control!
I am a sound engineer for BOSE, those ebay clones you speak of are no different than the OEM drivers, they are overstock. What are you using to test and compare??

Ive got four of the clones, I had no idea what they were, just that they looked cool.

Its just a long-stroke driver... its not a special invention by bose. Most of their Speakers sound like crap...just to much unprecise bass.
PlatinumEagleStudio's their Subwoofer (or better Midwoofer) has to play frequenzies far over the bass range, cause the small shouting-cubes have way to little volume to deliver mids and lows. Also Boses systems have a "frequenzy hole" between 180 and 250hz which is part of the "voice-frequenzy-range". Because they mostly use broadband drivers (which are either to small for low frequenzis or to big for highs) their speakers have a unusualy small freq. range of 180-250 + 250-13000hz. Your ear will probably hear sounds between a range of 20-20000hz. As you can see there is a big "hole".
By the way i dont use Sony they've just gone an similar way like Bose. Im using a Marantz Amplifier with 3-way Canton speakers; Made in Germany. So keep loving Bose or change your way but remember not Sony; they're already missing me.
I have to agree with Patrick - the driver design with high excursion isn't anything new. I do however agree that the soundlink mini is one of the best compact speakers you can buy.
Yeah well, I wonder why so many people, when it comes to bose speakers, become emotional and offensive. But i have to agree; those speakers and bose speakers at all, they don´t sound bad. But many people think Bose is the non plus ultra in sound, but haven´t ever heard a really nice sound systems at all.
It´s not for nothing that there are claims like. "No highs, no mids, no lows-must be Bose" or "Bose - Better sound through marketing" or Bose- Buy Other Sound Equipment. What the fuck ever...

Pretty much agree except when it comes to these small speakers Bose pretty much nails it. It is an engineered sound; enhanced with DSP processing, but I don't care because they sound great. It's my opinion they have forced other manufacturers to improve their products so that there are now many good choices.
