It's one of these modules you'll miss when it's gone, and want to sell when you have it. But when Walker showed 'soap' mode (P out, full CW on Degree, Pitch and Centroid) i was in love. And it sounds absolutely amazing through Erbe-Verb. It also sounds amazing when the Unperson is patching it.
Completely agree about missing it and wanting to sell it at the same time. I've bought and sold one at least twice. I wish they would rerelease it because they're not readily available anymore.
@@CinematicLaboratory Oooohh, I feel overwhelmed by Spectrophon and I understood at least what telharmonic was doing. Plus the smaller HP footprint. I just really liked the telharmonic. Well, except for the tonic knob being so finicky.
You have made it sing a song. Many times people only make their modules scream. I say singing and screaming are musically useful but one is for sure harder to achieve. Every Make Noise module has some way to bring out its greatness. You just can’t tell what that is from the panel design.
For a second there I thought MN released re-issue of Telharmonic, and I weren't aware! :) Great module, one of my favs from the early days of the modular journey. Ignored and forgotten unjustly, glad you are doing the video - the way you use it makes it shine.
Thanks for getting me excited about my Telharmonic again! I picked one up used right after they were discontinued. I've gotten a ton of use out of it, but I think I've forgotten lately how much it can do! I also had no idea about the secret mode, so double thanks!
So cool! Never got a chance to fully understand that module after hearing so many good things love that! The integration of degree is quite compelling!
Having only come to modular years after the telH was discontinued, I despaired of ever finding one, even s/h- and then serious online detective work uncovered a new one (no doubt covered in metaphorical dust) in a store in Slovakia. Cost me a bit in import fees, but well worth it. Lately I’ve picked up a QuBit Mojave, and the oscillator that I find brings out the best in it is- the telHarmonic. There’s simply nothing else like it.
Great video. Sounds fantastic. I boxed up my Telharmonic a few months ago. Figured I might sell it but unsure if I'd regret that move. It's not in my sound palette these days but you've reminded me just how exceptional it is. It does awesome drones too. Love your work btw. Always inspiring.
Such a strange module I had one for a couple of years and never fully clicked with it but it did create some very unique cool one off sounds occasionally. Great video as always
Yes! I got this Elka Synthex (Jarre) Laser Harp sound coming form it, I'm not touching the settings anymore 😂 Basically an envelope on Centroid will give that highpass like filter opening and closing.
Had it on loan with a chance to buy it, but whilst it was interesting from a musical point of view, I never bothered to utilise the chord side of it and although I was at a point where I wanted to collect every Make Noise module there was at the time, I returned it, didn't miss it once.
I think that my favorite part is how you are able to keep it to the scale. So many other Make Noise modules almost seem to resist a tonal scale, where this one almost demands it. Do you know of other modules like this? I'm thinking that you could probably do similar things with a pitch quantizer like the Bard Quartet or the Harmonàig and several oscillators, but not nearly as efficient in terms of space in the case.
Hey - been watching your demos for a while now. Thank you for putting these videos out there. Now that you have a video on each module, what would you say would be any advantages the Teleharmonic has over the 4ms Ensemble? I see a lot of similarities between them. I know the Ensemble has some obvious advantages over the Teleharmonic but curious if there is somewhere the Telharmonic really shines in comparison? To be transparent, I have an ensemble. I like it to a degree, but it mostly comes across too organ-ish to me, but when I dial in the right sounds, it is really fun. My GAS is kicking in on this one now, probably because all your videos make these sound amazing to me. :)
It's boggling how the STO Continued but Teleharmonic was discontinued Teleharmonic didn't get as much commercial appreciation but it's definitely a secret weapon in many's arsenal Best Snare in the Freaking World Pretty Outerwordly Kick or Toms as well
A love hate relationship. I bought one when MN announced that the Telharmonic is discontinued. Used it, hated it, loved it, hated it again. I then wanted to sell it, but forgot it in the shelve. Some time in the future I 😊will stumble upon it and then make some music and love it again.
I feel the EXACT same way! I hated it.. then loved it.. then hated it again. Every time I think about selling it, I plug it in one last time and BOOM it's beautiful and I don't want to sell it anymore. haha
The Telharmonic is a really fun sound source. I kind of miss the one I sold off, but Eurorack isn't like Pokemon, and we don't have to collect them all.
Make Noise is .... how the young say ... GOAT of Eurorack imho. You should also check out Strega, it is incredible (but maybe not mainstream sounding enough for your music).
damn i love data bender. I sold mine in a moment of madness, but am gazing at that conveniently empty rack space and thinking about that sweeeeeeeet glitch.......
Can you explain how the LPG you mention at 13:30 is patched? Is Maths triggering it like a filter envelope? What's the deal with the stereo out of DD and into Nautilus? Is LPG stereo too? Sorry if this is basic. I haven't tried LPGs but I keep hearing enthusiasm about them.
generally they’re used with a gate or a trigger as a combination filter and VCA, in this case sounds like it’s being used as such! audio goes in, trig/gate goes into trig input, and audio comes out modulated by the lpg and trig input

"It's one of these modules you'll miss when it's gone, and want to sell when you have it." This describes this module perfectly haha!
digital foam? that gave me an all new appreciation for this voice. most gorgeous noise textures i have ever heard

@@ScottofOakland The new Spectraphon firmware will make it all better. It's becoming a bit like a dual Telharmonic.

Fantastic module, have it since years - so special, nothing comes close!
It’s truly so unique!

i sold mine last year and i cry every single day to get it back. to those who have the telharmonic, never ever give it away!!!! if then give it to me🙏
i feel exactly the same man!
Been on the fence to sell, it is really unique. I’ll take your advice!
Sick Vid, Sick VCO
Glad we could make this happen!
Really enjoyed the video! The Telharmonic/Spiratone is my favorite module.

As alway, many great module introductions with creative and pleasant performances! thank you !!
Glad you liked it! :)
you are such a creative persone
Thank you! ☺️

I used to see these used a bunch but never thought much of it. Now of course I can’t find one anywhere 😩. Great work as always super inspirational!
Thanx for expanding my awareness of this one. The character of the noise output modulated is really tasty for throwing at others
I was gonna sell this but now its back on the rack thanx to you! Seecret mode😮Very inspiring stuff keep it up!! Shoutout to the plattts series❤.

Very cool module, narrated by the best of the English language accents! Nice patches. Good demo!
Glad you enjoyed the video and the accent! :D

sold the module a couple of years ago, today heard it in the smile's track "teleharmonic" and want it back again :D
Was my third module, paired with beads and maths and still in my case. Love it
I was digging that dark jam - nice!
Musical and unique as always!
another great vid. still on the want list. lovely thing
Thanks!! ☺️
My favorite make noise module.
So musical, some really wonderful timbres there.
Cheers man!
Nicely done sir!

😂 true
Instruo's saich contains a stripped down version of harmonaig within it & is I think the same amount of HP
