The Nissan v8 shits all over the Toyota diesel. In standard form lacks the low down tourqe but once supercharged its a game changer best of both worlds

I had a good look at this thing at the Melbourne show and it was completely off the chain . The suspension and the canopy the body the paint look absolutely tops good job boys loved every bit of it🇦🇺👍👍👍👍. Can I get one?

Great looking rig, but I wish you would have asked him to see how the drive was achieved to the 3rd axle.
Also, tare, GVM and GCM would have been handy to know as well.
He’s still working on all those yet, truck is 90% complete

@@matthewzerafa7861 surely not!!! ol' mate clearly says it's a 6x6....NOT a 6x4. Anybody who went to that much trouble to stick a 3rd axle under a beast that beautiful and then made it a LAZY....would have to have rocks in their head!!! hahaha
@@matthewzerafa7861 just watched again. At 10:41 you can clearly see the yellow pumpkin of the 3rd diff. She's definitely a 6x6 champ.

Needs a better exhaust as it sounds terrible to be honest but man what an awesome truck! I absolutely love it

Not Bad for a Patrol. going the truck route tho Ive always bean on the fence about that sure you get the massive GVM and GCM increase but Log books you slip up and they will throw the book at you. wish they would do like the US where it can be driven on a car licence and only need a truck licence when are loaded in to truck territory.
Edit: just looking to see if the laws have changed and here in Vic and they no longer do GVM/GCM its GVM and tow rating up to 9 Tonne so what with going the truck route? they can tow the same Max of 9 tonne the only difference is GVM and i can't think of what you will load to get it over 4.5 tonne gonna fill the tray up with garden mix or gravel?

What’s the max gvm that you put on it
So, can we see the 6x6 drive system? How did they piggyback the second rear axle? Or is it a lazy axle in the middle?
It’s true 6x6, when we are at the back of the vehicle talking you can see the drive shaft connecting both axels. Andrew is going to be releasing more specs and detail on the vehicle soon.

Nice extreme vehicle. But ridiculously impractical. Carry 3 step ladder to reach drawers and fridge (not to talk about the roof rack)

Such a ridiculous financial strain touring with that vehicle, how much fuel it would use and how often need to fuel up would be out of reach of most 'normal' tourers!

When you spend 200k customizing a vehicle I doubt you worry about a few hundred in filling up.

Cv's in the y62 are actually pretty strong. You only see them brake when running 37s and superchargers. I'm not a fan of independent suspension but this is the only vehicle I'd consider owning outside of a solid axle rig

@@trickster8635 I’m not following your comment. Unless you live in Tibet; parts for Fords & Nissans are readily attainable. The Ford is a much better truck and more prolific worldwide. Better due to powertrain, payload, 4wd system, tech, etc. Nissan builds some decent stuff, but their engines are notoriously underpowered & that styling is horrid. On those two points alone; the Ford is an easy choice.
@@krasnaludek298 yes and no Ford doesn't officially sell the F series here so support for them is limited its the same with Ram and the POS GMs "Trucks" there not officially sold here there imported and converted. Ford recently said they will bring the F series here direct from factory but they have being saying that for years and never came through.
@@phalanx3803 Calling GM trucks POS tells me all I need to know about your knowledge of trucks. The GMC AT4X will crap all over every single Nissan 4x4 right from the factory. There are Chevy 350 powered trucks from the 1970s still running strong with 400K+ on the odometer. Nissan can’t so much as compete in the truck market without heavy discounts. I split time between Europe & North America. Nissan is leaving some of the markets, because their trucks do not compete - GM destroys them across the board. Have you even seen the new Silverado ZR2 or GMC Sierra? They’re light years ahead of Nissan. Like comparing a Ferrari to a Hyundai if they’re at the same price point.

The fact that there was no footage of the centre diff and it was not spoken about would lead you down the path of no diff in the centre, no shots at all, in fact it looks like a bearing carrier for a long tailshaft
