Bloody epic mate she’s a hell of a rig I am a bit biased but that rear draw looks epic can’t wait to see the next one your building, thanks for the shout out to mate!
I've watched a fair few Ronny Dahl rig run downs but none of his went as seamlessly smooth as this one. Keep up the good work lads looking forward to the next one 💪🏾
I am Cruiser-Head through and through, but I wish that we saw more of these Y62/Armada builds here in the states. This was an extremely well thought out and executed build, well done! I like the idea of the 'UTE 62' coming next, but I would personally lean towards this build and add a trailer when needed depending on your mission. Looking forward to seeing the next build, cheers from Texas.
Beautiful rig mate. Wanted the override for the diff lock but Nissan said if I did would nit be covered under manufactures Warranty if something went wrong with anything associated with diff lock. Spewin.
Beautiful machine nicely done. i was wondering about the victron argofet? 100 amps going into the lithium batteries wow how did you get around getting things hot or overloading the alternator, cable is ok not sure about the alternator and i was wondering if you had that checked out as i would like to do the same thing. also are you relying on the battery bms to limit the flow of power into itself .....
I know the built in BMS in the DCS batteries handle up to 200A charge current and with suitable cable the alternator should have no problem supplying ~100A as the battery will be charged in a short time however I'm not sure about Y62 alternator limitations sorry.
What is the average cost of petrol per litre in Australia? Why Aussies love Toyota and Nissan so much? What 4wd would be most common if Nissan and Toyota is not available in Australian market? Will it be Ford, Isuzu, Mitsubishi, Mahindra erc.? When it comes to 4wd we don't got much options to choose from like in US's and Australian market. Toyota (Fortuner and Hilux), Maruti Suzuki Gypsy(sierra), Isuzu D-max V-cross but no standard rear locker even in the top most variant (V-cross prestige Z), Force Gurkha (2 door), Mahindra Thar (2door), pik-up dual cab ute, Tata DI, Scorpio dual cab ute, Jeep compass (available only in top 3 trims). Some has after market bumpers(winch compatible), no good quality spot lights or 30-50 inch light bar. Since we have to import American or Australian made accessories for the 4wd it's super expensive. Example if you bought a 30 inch light bar by "RIGID", " Baja designs" Which cost 5/6 hundred dollars in India we have to pay the same amount due to importing laws and rules. So we went for a chinese brand. Cheaper, easily available, easy to replace.
Petrol is about $2/litre but varies so much from region to region, Diesel is similar but probably more stable in price. Ford Ranger would be the most common outside of Toyota and Nissan.
What the hell does olemate do for a job? Me and my missus are on really good coin but can't afford to swap our rig out after 6 months to build a new one lol.
Same shit just different channel, keep with the travel logs, much more interesting, every man & his dog have a channel doing rig run-downs, my 2 cents worth
@@SIDETRACKED understandable, you do such great travel logs, that I am always keen to see, just my personal opinion about rig run downs, keep up the great vids!!👍
100% they love to drive and talk big patrol owners.... ever little off road. Went to Bendleby and full dash crew... just a 2 day piss up, and sunset trip (10min drive) and a burn around the easy high speed track ripping shit up. Talked shit about the hard tracks but they never did them 🤣🤣
Bloody epic mate she’s a hell of a rig I am a bit biased but that rear draw looks epic can’t wait to see the next one your building, thanks for the shout out to mate!
I have watched this 3 times now love this build 😊
Absolutely the most well thought out and modified y62 out there! The chopped one is going to be a monster
I've watched a fair few Ronny Dahl rig run downs but none of his went as seamlessly smooth as this one.
Keep up the good work lads looking forward to the next one 💪🏾
I appreciate that!
Agreed, this format was much easier to watch than his.
That's an amazing rig, really appreciate the detail Dom goes into. The man knew what he wanted!
Couldn't agree more!
I am a Toyota man but it's a very nice Y62 epic build can't wait to see the next one
My favourite part is the woodgrain delete! :)

Yep that's what I want my Y62 to look like when it grows up 🤣
Enjoyed the run through just shows the endless modifications you can do to suit your own requirements .👍
Cheers Wombat 🐾
Wow 👌 love the video very well explained and a few prices been told also
Both guys did a excellent job in explaining everything
What a beast, another ripping vid boys & excellent commentary all round owner is truly passionate 🙏
I've got a stock Y62 (series 5) running 35's and I'm currently getting 11L/100Km
add 1 ton of stuff to your Y62 and you'll win 9L less per 100km ;)
Whilst going downhill maybe. My Y62 on 34"s averaged +16l/100 and that wasn't with any towing and not a lot of around town driving.

Nice build. Very well thought out...
absolute beast well done
Hey mate, two things who did your wood grain delete and where did you pick up the scan gauge mount. Cheers
Top forby top fun interview, GG boys ….
That’s a lot of gadgets right there.
Looking forward to modding my 22 Y62 now 🤙🏼
Absolute perfection
Really impressive

H Domi, where did you get the light in rear door for Y62 and switch panel
Amazing rig and setup. Do you have a link where they sell the SAFERY tailgate door Led light strip ?

Nice y62 but it doesn't look like it actually goes off road. or am I wrong? Steve
Cheers Steve. We've been off road with him, he has only had it for 6 months though... and works full time.
Can’t believe you didn’t start it up!!!!! 😪😪😪
Right?! They talked about how good it sounds, and then didn't give us that sweet sweet cold start 😭
We stuffed up!!! Will not happen again.
@@SIDETRACKED no worries, keep up the great work 👍
Hi Dom Price mate any ball park figures you want to share...
Well stock, these are 100k +, and I can count about 30k worth of accessories. That's our ball park, 140 -150 maybe.
What the hell does olemate do for a job?
Me and my missus are on really good coin but can't afford to swap our rig out after 6 months to build a new one lol.

Much rather an isuzu. Y62 keeping up with the jones is good entertainment 🎉🎉🎉

Your only human, we've all dreamed of it.
Nice but still staying with my 100 series turbo diesel
I’m thinking of defecting to the dark side.
He's got it bad...whew...stay away from me!
Doubt this would make weight when full of juice and necessities
Still savin 4 a roobar i guess
No expense spared, spoilt with the Chinese Drifta RTT 🤦♂️
plenty shining lights on the Christmas tree?🤨 just start off with a better tree...
Same shit just different channel, keep with the travel logs, much more interesting, every man & his dog have a channel doing rig run-downs, my 2 cents worth
It’s a competition to see who can spend the most money
Cheers Lee, we can't travel all the time unfortunately so sometimes we film other bits.

Wow covered everything exept wheels and tyres 🤦🏽♂️
Clearly its never been off road..wank factor is huge
Cheers Rhys. We've seen it off-road, as for wank factor, sure, everyones wank level is different.
