You just need to consume so much protein per lb or kg of bodyweight every so many hours; the body can't process protein any more quickly and doesn't do so just because your metabolism has risen. Of course, it's nice to have a reward after a ride or training, but it makes no difference if you consume it straight after exercise if you're eating protein regularly throughout the day.
