Wow...you really inspire me... I too after i broke my one foot 🦶 i took cycling very serious and is doing much beter in races... Im from South Africa 🇿🇦 here everyone is in to MTB...😁i really also wish to get very good at cycling... We will always support gou Kate thx for everything you done for motivating all us people🙌🏻
Glad to see her riding/training on a road bike especially up the back side of Tam & the Bolinas Ridge. Great for getting real strong on a MTB. Some of my fav training too in the past getting on dirt great
I too enjoy a bit of dirt mixed in with the road, find myself riding the cross bike more than the road bike. I agree, naps are a great part of training!
Would love to see Kate try some cyclocross someday! Also, it would be interesting hear how she incorporates power (she mentioned Intervals) into the training regimen.
Most of that aerobic activity is gonna give her (anyone), some real spine, joint, and bone fatigue that'll be life-long, as ya age. Swimming, is the best. Yip. It adds bodyfat to ya, but it exercises every muscle in the body without the strain.
Per 1: Roadies outside. Mtb’rs inside. As an avid recreational downhiller I always thought XC was more similar to road biking than to real mountain biking. This proves it lol.
@@keirfarnum6811 Yeah I get that officially it is. So it is. But for me mountain biking is major knar, big jumps, very fast downhill speeds, steep climbs. XC has none of that. Don’t get me wrong I highly respect XC. Love watching the races. The top riders are in ungodly great aerobic shape. Good XC weekend warriors leave me in the dust on the flats and small rolling terrain. But on the steeps with knar, jumps and drops XC’rs are like brides maids wearing high heels 😂. Downhill mountain biking for me is like alpine skiing black diamond lines - fun and exciting the entire way down. XC is kinda boring. Plus I’m inherently lazy.
@@mrsmartypants_1 Your response "proves you don't know squat LOL". Where did I say anything about not getting results? All I did was highlight these movements are unnecessarily dangerous... meaning you can get the same result doing a safe movement. People who train like this get injuries from training period. Now go back into the shit hole you came from and shut your mouth because you don't know what you are talking about.
JTMarlin8: You’re obviously not a fan of Miley. Regardless Simon is correct - Kate and Miley do have mild similarities that are unmistakable. Kate is a refined version of Miley in speech pattern and looks. Personally I like them both. They both are risk takers. Miley had to put a dagger through the heart of Hanna Montana so fans and producers couldn’t pigeon hole her for life that so often destroys child stars as adults.
Yeah - one of the things I loved about MTB growing up was that most of the heroes were working class daredevils; as much as I admire Kate, her well-considered presence on camera in particular, not to mention a no-expense-spared approach to gear and training, definitely speaks to capitalism's increasing influence on the sport. Who knows whose talents out there are being missed out on.
@@-TRIPLE_A- When I was racing off road (back in the stone age 90s), it was all I could do to keep my bike running. It’s expensive. We had races where we would start with brand new cables and housing for derailleurs and brakes and they would all need replacement by the end of the race. That adds up quickly.
She’s good but at this time there is a woman who is better. In the absence of this woman Kate won worldchampion but the Olympic champion is back and she is the true champion. Well see in 2020.

What a beast, she is deserving of all of those titles, proud to be a fellow American, Cheers from Utah✌️🤟🤙

Hey, if taking a nap can be considered "training", call me Michael Phelps!! 😂😂
Hi Michael Phelps

I'm confused why someone would give this a thumbs down
I really enjoyed this
Love it. Keep it up, Kate.
Playing UA-cam Wings - Band on the Run in another tab while watching this with the sound off. Very inspiring.

I'm a sleeping world champion.
It’s now a year later and Kate destroyed the field at Snowshoe WV. Guess there’s something to her training regimen lol.
I see her very well to become a triathlete!
🗽
Flipping that weight while on the balance board.....

Cycling is pretty gentle on the body compared to a lot of sports.
Amazing. Kate - are you single ? I live in Providence. This could be tough.
Deadlifting 132 lbs
It's between 177-189
Thought glasses went under straps...

Молодец, но ее слабое место это подошва, посмотрите как ее раскачивает.
All these movements are unnecessarily dangerous in an attempt to look like some cutting edge training.
Keecey 3: Results prove you don’t know squat LOL. Some color inside the lines all their lives (you). Winners soar outside of them.

she is better than Jolanda Neff, i mean physically :)
Hard trainer, great mtb’r! You look like Mylie Cyrus and talk like her!
