Nicely Done! Haiden will do very well. He has more followers on social media than most now at 1.5 million on IG. When you are doing shit right like marketing, you are super fast and have the grit/determination to win its going to piss some off because they are thinking its the money that makes him fast which is so false and if some raced they know what I mean. Money is great, but grit/determination you can't buy and Haiden just like Brian has solid work ethic on/off the track. That is reality.
I HAVE to call BS on this one. Haiden, grew up riding real MX/SX tracks in his back yard every single day. He never had the struggle that every other kid has had. He got to ride every day for over a year on the Star Racing Yamaha track with the best riders in the world before he ever did a SX Futures race. Tell me another rider that has had the chance to do that? I’ll wait. To say none of that matters is pure ignorance. Take away all Brian’s money, all the tracks in his back yard and Haiden has to make it like everyone else, we wouldn’t have seen him race Pro yet. That’s fact, not fiction. 😉
Yes, to become one of the best, you need to put in the work & sacrifice etc etc etc.... However, without a HUGE level of support from every angle, no amount of talent will EVER make it ANYWHERE! HD has been silver spooned into this sport, but he also has a great deal of talent which will see him go places. A little TOO hyped right now though...
Haiden is fast, but he has been given the best bikes, best teams etc. that makes a difference. How many kids who were just as dedicated as Deegan who didn’t have the financial backing? I’m tired of everyone blowing this kid who has ZERO humility or gratitude and he hasn’t performed this year like so many of you said he would. Saying that his dad’s connections and money didn’t change anything is ridiculous. Yes he’s fast, yes he’s a hard worker, disciplined etc. he better be, he was born into all of that! It’s different, but I was born into a heavy equipment family so of course I should be good at and I definitely have a leg up on the people who want to run equipment. They have a much harder time getting into the field and getting the experience so it being born into does count. I’m tired of everyone saying it doesn’t. I don’t like Haiden because he doesn’t know what humility and gratitude is. I think those traits are extremely important for men to have.
If money is so little of an advantage, why are literally all of the riders on the gates sons of wealthy men? You don't see sons of ditch diggers out there, for a reason. It's hilarious to hear anyone argue that money isn't a huge part of a rider's success in this sport, while simultaneously whining about the high cost of racing. Yes, you have to put your running shoes on and do the work. What Deegan has never done is do that after working a job for 8 hours beforehand. Or even 1 hour beforehand. Because he's the son of a wealthy man, and that matters. It's idiotic cope to think that it doesn't.
So much hype for someone that’s only won one race straight up and one gifted, he’s barely in 3rd by one point. Why don’t you concentrate on the 2 better riders ahead of him?
Because whether you like it or not Deegan brings a lot of attention to the sport. It’s almost like a celebrity coming to supercross and he is definitely in the top tier of racing. There are guys that race a whole career and never win. Don’t hate just enjoy, our sport is absolutely epic right now.
