      Hi Dear Marilyn,
      It always happen with second hand used Nissan 350Z convertable cars getting into such problems.
      The top gets stucked during, in middle or during closing back.
      To keep it working satisfactorily what needs to be carried here is to try it opening after each wash once it is dried up to avoid the component & tubes stress which affect the smooth operation of the actuator (Motor).
      In your case, best is to close it manually rotating the actuator few time to settle the components tubers to its original place and then try it automatically with power button.
      In future, don't keep it close for longer period and open it during the weak once or twice.
      Thanks,

      Hi Brother,
      Actually I wouldn't be able to send you pictures showing exact location of the actuator motor location because I have sold mine, however, I am enclosing a link where you can find the actuator location in pictures shown. Moreover, you can close only your soft top manually which I used to do with my nissan 350z, however, opening it manually is bit tough.
      Please note that you should use proper keys to rotate the motor manually but make sure all the locks are in open or released position, otherwise, it will have stress on the thread and might break.
      Please see this link for location of motor.

    Other than manually helping the top and/or keep hitting the button like the video stated. Not much help out there when it comes to limit switches which is their number 1 fault.

    So where is the repair. You should not have to continuously keep pressing the button for the bonnett or conv top to operate properly.

      On the 350Z you must hold the brake depressed AND continuously hold the button through the entire open and closing procedure.

    I have too a red 350z Convertible. You don't need to use handbrake. It's indepent of soft top system. Be careful with your soft top, it's hard by the sun and is cracking like all the 350z soft tops. In a few time you need to replacement...

    • @visiontuber3680
      @visiontuber3680  4 роки тому

      Yes, you are right that it is to be replaced after certain period of time due to hardness caused by UV sun. But it is really too expensive in our region.

      @@visiontuber3680 I recommend getting 303 Convertible Top Care Kit Fabric. The sun in Florida is brutal, so treat about once every 2-3 months. Just started the rain season and the water just beads up and roll right off. Eventually, I am going to change top from black to camel, so will absorb less UV.

      The roller needs lubricant which will smoothen to operate when actuator rotates it.
