What I like about Tenners is that it’s so much bigger than the other islands - so much more to see and roads to ride.. great vlog 🎉
Having ridden with Jose for 4 days...found his hand signals easy and intuitive and very helpful, loved his fun attitude and his love for the islands and riding!
Yes me too…..
That little island looks the bee's knees! Roads are brilliant and the views are to die for.
Great video.
Over the years I've done thousands of touring miles over many countries. However I still have great memories spent with Canary Motorcycle Tours. Martin, Joy and crew are excellent company and great riding is to be had in Gran Canaria - highly recommended.
Yep, completely agree 👍
Yes a great bunch
Thanks for the latest tour videos. I first visited Tenerife back in 1972 at 16 and about two weeks before I started my aircraft maintenance apprenticeship with BOAC. It’s great to see the islands are being well maintained and the views continue to be outstanding. Thanks for the memories. Ride Safe!
My pleasure James!
CMT are indeed fantastic and I thoroughly enjoyed both Slovenia and Gran Canaria with them. Martin, Jose and Joy are all amazing. Both Martin and Jose are incredibly smooth riders and pretty much only brake to inform riders behind that something challenging is coming up - superb guides. Jose is simply at one with his 2007 air cooled GS with nearly 500,000kms on the clock and I learned loads (riding smoother and following the road edge line on those narrow roads) just riding behind him. Thanks for the series so far TMF and mrs TMF, really enjoying the island hopping and feeling the need to book another trip!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great GS that 2007. It’s the year model Ewan and Charley used on the Long Way Down to Cape Town! 🏍️👍🇿🇦
Incredible place to ride! Gorgeous scenery! Thanks for the tour.
Ever since I started riding ,that dappled light though trees has always played Hell with my eyes.
What a lovely video, fair warms the cockles on a wet and windy day in Blighty. Thank you for all your hard work in bringing these trips to us. It is much appreciated Andy.
Our pleasure!
That was great TMF. Seeing the sunshine and scenery was genuinely uplifting. Look forward to the next one, cheers.
Cheers Colin!
I bet that would be an astronomer's dream on that island. I don't blame Mrs. Flyer for wanting to spend a day on those beaches.
Most amazing views on this one, mind blowing, so lucky that way you are Andy.
Glad you enjoyed it (I pefer fortunate ;0))
Wow! That was absolutely stunning, what a beautiful part of he world! I’m definitely on for a tour of the islands, it’s firmly on my bucket list! Thanks Andy, a great video series! 🏍️☀️🍺👍🇿🇦
My pleasure - thanks for watching!
Martin adds a quality informative aspect to the vlog. 👍
Indeed he does!
Thanks Again Andy. Another brilliant tour. Love the Canaries in general. Lived in Lanzarote a few years and visited Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, and La Gomera. The scenery is fantastic and the weather great. Friendly people and cheap food and drink. Brought back great memories for me. Muchas Gracias.
SO out of interest Colin, what made you move back?
We lost the apartment we were renting as the owner decided to sell it. We could not find anything else suitable as there was so much demand. There were estate agents with waiting lists of over 150 clients looking for long-term rentals. Then when back home, 6 weeks later, I discovered I had bowel cancer !! All OK now, but staying in UK. Anyway, keep up the good work !!! @@TheMissendenFlyer
Looks fabulous and the weather is probably great most of the year.
It sure is - that’s the beauty of the Canaries….
Brilliant once again mate , thanks
No problem 👍
Stunning scenery and great roads. Perfect combination 👍
Sure is Martyn!
Thoroughly enjoyed this tour, I actually didn’t want it to end. I love the Canary Islands.
That’s very kind of you to say - thank you!
Spectacular video. Thank you.
Wow, how magnificent was that, thoroughly enjoyed part 2. I think small Islands no matter what part of the world they are in, just something captivating about them. Thank you.
Yes agreed….thanks for watching!
Truly breath taking - well done ... and more Jose please, seems a lovely guy!!
He sure is!
Words fail - just beautiful stuff. The roads... man. Ran this full screen and just loved it. STELLAR!!!
You liked it then Scott?
@@TheMissendenFlyerThat's affirmative. LOL! I love the longer tour videos like this. You can really get into the flow and feel better. Living vicariously through your videos has never been more fun. LOL.
Glad you think that - shame more don't, views on these videos are always lower than on other types of vid....
Interesting to see the catamaran ferries, they make those here in Tasmania! 😊
That’s a long delivery run!
Stunning thankyou!
No problem!
EXCELENTE TRABAJO
MUCHAS GRACIAS
UN FUERTE ABRAZO DESDE SANTIAGO DE CHILE
Once again thank you both for another holiday never been on so many trips
Well that's done it. I've decided to retire early, pack up and sell everything. What a bostin island that is. 👍
That’s one way! ….the thought had crossed my mind too!!
@@TheMissendenFlyer I have to say, as the rain beats against the windows, the thought of spending my days riding my bikes on those fantastic roads in the sunshine does definitely have an appeal 😎…. Does Rightmove cover the Canary Islands?? 😂
I think it does!
Yes great light coming off the ferry, I noticed it immediately. La Gomera ,Wow! also such clear video
Light makes all the difference doesn’t it…
Now that was a great tour.
Glad you liked it!
Your best video yet! Wonderful tour of beautiful islands.
Thank you!
Love all the tours you do, but this one did seem epic. Cheers.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Another great trip Andy. Definitely looks like a great place to take in a bike ride. Thanks for the great recommendations 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Any time!
Lovely little island.... thanks
My pleasure!
WOW, fantastic riding yet again. We did the 'touristy' trip around mount Tiede in a minibus, which was unbelievable, and I did comment to Mrs H it would be great on a bike. We also enjoyed a coffee break at cafe Papilon haha. Then you tour guide surpasses all that with La Gomera. It looks a beautifully, unspoilt island, one worth a visit. Thank you Mr. Flyer for once again taking us with you.
Thank you for joining us!
Hi, I’m living on La Gomera for over 25 years in Valle Gran Rey with a 2002 BMW F650GS a 2018 Ducati scrambler 800 and a KTM 390 Duke, it’s almost the best place in the world to ride especially when you can change the bike so it changes the experience.
You're very lucky Chris!
Nice riding, great views. Bravo! :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
Good vid. A wonderful place to ride. Stunning scenery. The best for last. Re-ride that several times. A great place to escape to in the winter time from USA. Thanks for the presentation. Very nice.
My pleasure Sam!
Its been a very nice tour !
Yes it was! Thanks for joining us!
Went out to Tenerife in February with Tenerife Triumph, Adam at Tenerife Triumph is a top bloke and also provides a first class self catering apartment. He took us on a guided tour of La Gomera on his Bobber and Bonneville. Tennerife and the islands are biking paradise.
I agree....
Another great tour,thanks!
Thank you!
Fab videos Andy. Amazing roads and scenery. I never considered the Canaries until I saw your videos.
Yes it's a bit of a secret as a biking destination but is well worth a look....
Great couple of episodes- really enjoyed it 🏍👍
Glad you enjoyed it Mike - thanks for watching!
Wow have to say the roads and views look stunning Andy that is some recommendation to being the best roads you’ve ridden on keep up the great vids 👍
Will try my best!
Yes you are right, Andy, the full height of Mount Teide is much higher than Mont Blanc. If you measure it from the sea bed it’s 24,600 ft tall.
Love being told I’m right 👍
I didn’t know that was a thing 😅
Andy I couldn’t help but notice you seem to be limping hope your ok. Thanks for the vid as usual fantastic
All good thanks Chris - not sure I was limping???
great video.visited Fire Mountain a few years ago on Lanzarote stunning lava scenary
Is that Timanfaya? I went there with Mrs Flyer almost 40 years ago!!
Huge congrats Andy for achieving 250k subscribers! Do YT recognise that with an award?
Thank you for noticing! ....and no, not that I'm aware of...
wow, looks totally amazing.
It is!
9:00These are very definitely optical telescopes. If I remember right, these actually must be the ones a certain Dr. Brian May, better know from his second job as musician, made observations for his work during his studies.
I have my mind blown by the beauty of these Islands! Incredible! 🤗 Thanks for taking us there, Mate!
No problemo!
The tunnel ride footage was amazing.
Delighted to hear that!
Gorgeous. I’ve never biked up to Teide - only driven a manky Hyundai - but it’s lovely, even with the lunatics who cycle up there. The Parador hotel up there is very nice but there’s a tendency to wake up in the night short of breath due to the altitude, and it’s freezing at night up there!
Yes I can imagine….
Mr Flyer that was an epic bike tour and a pretty decent geography fieldtrip too. That 'prarie' vegetation you referenced is actually known as 'maquis' or 'garigue' in the Med' and related places and in the US and A is called 'chaparral'. Never been to the Canary Islands but I might just head on over there, looks fantastic. Cheers for making these vids. Can't wait for the next tour.
Glad you enjoyed it - stay tuned, another tour coming before the end of the year!
Hi Andy,
The weather there was much better than we had today. Nothing but rain at 16°C. Next week a few days with 23° again. Too warn for the time of the year. Excellent temperatures for being outside.
Great motorcycle roads and views.
You can reduce the shaking in your video editor software.
The lava fields reminds me of the volcano region Auvergne in France. It was 36°C in the shadow there. I climbed one of the cones there to get a better picture of the surroundings. The lava was quite red in color.
Sorry to hear about your weather - I was in Majorca today and it was a balmy 26C ;0) ....back home now (boo!)
@@TheMissendenFlyer lucky you.
sadly enough, all good things come to an end.
Stunning views !! there are some amazing places on the blue ball... just back from the Faroe Islands, you need to go !! I believe for once you are south of my latitude :) Cheers from Texas.
Could be! Doesn’t happen very often….
Very nice again.
Lovely scenery 😊
Sure is!
Those roads look amazing I’d love to ride those roads
You should!
Btw..I prefer the early morning start for the vids but have caught up tonight!
...think I'm ditching the late starts - normal service resumes on Saturday!
I'm ashamed to say that having lived & worked in Spain (Valencia) for more than 20 years, I have never visited the Canary Islands. This was another inspiring installation, which this time really makes me think that the non Canary Island visiting must come to an end & am currently negotiating with the non-bike-participating Señora John to do it with CMT on a bike. Let's see! Maybe Carol could do a vid/series of vids of advice/recommendations for doubting/unsure partners???????
Cheers John - thabnks for the idea!
Having recently spent a week in Tenerife with 2 of my 5 children it killed me that I couldn't enjoy a motorcycle ride around the island. For sure the NC750X-DCT would be my weapon of choice though. Ideal for such roads...
I live in Arizona. Lots of lava fields. And yes, much of Tenerife looks like Arizona.
Was Mrs F in a bad mood Andy she didn’t seem to impressed when giving the hotel tour, and then not out with you the next day 😱 hope there was no domestics going on 🙈. Great video as always 👍 always a joy to watch.
Mrs Flyer is never in a bad mood - she lives with me! :0)
Used to fly to Tenerife quite often. Normally you're into a left hand pattern, with the volcano on your left all the way down- very beautiful. Mont Blanc is 1000m higher though :)
Not if you measure from the base apparently…
@10:01 "It's like climbing onto an old friend. I should rephrase that."
😮 LOL
Possibly the best testimonial for the GS.
La Gomera is amazing. I'm going to do some research into going sometime in the next few years. Looking at the tour company website.
Looks awesome there ,🤓😎🏍💨💨💨💨👍🏻🇨🇦🍻great vid. 👍🏻
It sure is John!
La Gomera, a hidden gem indeed
It sure is….
It sounded as though you were saying 'Mount Tidy' with a Welsh accent but I realised it wasn't Wales due to the sunny weather and the absence of a 20mph speed limit.
Quite different to Wales!
@@TheMissendenFlyer Yep, unlike Wales it'll still have a tourist industry this time next year!
Great videos of what looks like it was a brilliant tour - thank you as always for the excellent content!
I can't help but to have noticed that your last couple of videos have gone up on UA-cam later in the day than previously (I used to enjoy the new content with my Wednesday and Saturday breakfast!) - is this a regular thing now, or a temporary blip? Apologies if I have missed an announcement somewhere... Whatever, they are worth waiting for!
I did make an announcement that I was going to experiment with posting my videos in the evening, rather than mornings for a month, just to see if it made any impact on views. However, so far, I’m not sure the impact has been positive! So I may go back to mornings again soon, just an experiment, stick with me!
Well this one has sold it to me for sure! I am sure you will have mentioned the month this was filmed but could you please just let me know? Many thanks, excellent video!
We filmed this last April!
Beautiful islands! Sunshine! Amazing roads. Great stuff 👌🏼
Thanks for watching!
Great video(s). Considering all the exotic 'locales' you're getting to on these tours, have you ever thought about a float plane rating? Hire prices can't be 'so English' everywhere! : )
No - I have flown one off of Lake Como but there is little point in me getting the rating when I mostly fly out of the UK.
The 3 Island tour looks first class. Would you rate it as much better than a tour restricted to Gran Canaria? I hope to book with these guys soon. ATVB
No not necessarily, it’s just different. If youve not done GC there’s plenty there to discover!
What a fabulous place. I’m feeling tempted. Good choice of bike too. These tours are great.
You should give it a go Peter - great fun to be had!
Andy - grateful for your views/thoughts on this - im very interested in doing a tour of the Canary Islands and Canary Motorcycle Tours seem like a professional outfit and while i am neither a novice, inexperienced, nervous nor an infrequent rider i am slightly concerned about the massive warning to this effect they have on the front page of their website to this effect - i want to feel relaxed while riding, enjoy the road and the scenary and not under extreme pressure to ride like i was in the World Superbike Championships - thoughts???
There is no pressure at all to ride fast on a Canary Motorcycle Tour - they do point out on their website I think that the tours aren't for beginners, that's nothing to do with speed more about confidence riding on sometimes narrow twisty roads (of which there are many!). From the sounds of it you will be fine - CMT's guides (Martin and Jose) are two of the most safe and sensible riders I've ever had the pleasure to ride with...they won't put you under any pressure and I promise you will have a great time! Tell them I sent you!
Great to see Jose again. He's a lovely guy and a great rider. That BMW GS of his had done massive miles when we last rode with him.
Tenerife has some great riding, especially through the lava fields but I think Gran Canaria has the very best riding.
Enjoying the series, bringing back great memories
Glad to hear that Richard - yep Jose has over 500,000 K on his GS now….
@@TheMissendenFlyer Amazing 👍
Love the video .What do you think of the new nc750 from 54bhp to 58bhp is it any better
Im not sure I’d notice the difference?
I know two different machines, but what’s the comparison between wing and that machine in sport mode. i find the wing sport mode difficult to control on my wing.
No comparison - on the Wing (as you know) sport mode turns the bike into a beast!
@@TheMissendenFlyer Yes i’ve used sport mode a couple of times on the wing, but it’s just not enjoyable on the roads where i live. Plus at 70 years young I’m no longer the boy hooligan i used to be 🤣😱
Loving the Spanish lessons hhhhhhaaaaa
Glad to hear that!
Just an observation……you didn’t mention anything about your bike ONCE in this video, and I don’t think much of anything in the previous video, either. Plenty of praise for the location and roads. Which is a confirmation that Hondas are pretty much unremarkable! (And I have a NT700V Deauville in the U.S……). Reliable and functional……but wholly unremarkable!
I thinkmy Goldwing is pretty remarkable!
What a great trip that looked. Interestingly I also put my NC750X DCT (same model that you're riding here) into sport around the twistys in a recent trip to Spain. It just felt better in the lower gears. Did you have any 'issues' with it dropping a gear as you enter or go round bends? It seem to happen less in sport mode. Jury is out for me on the later posting of you vlogs...but I probably just need to adjust my MF vlog clock LOL
The jury is out for me too! May return to morning posting in a week or so….
They're optical telescopes. You don't need good viz for radio astronomy so no point putting a radio telescope on a mountain top.
Fair point! duh!!
@@TheMissendenFlyer Just down the road from me is Jodrell Bank Radio Telescope. The astronomers there don't care about the wx or light pollution, but electrical interference is the bane they live with! Back in the 1950s when the site was first used for radio astronomy, even the local farms had no electricity out in rural Cheshire!
Is that bognor
No - Ive not been to Bognor, is it similar?
TMF, I am getting assosiations to Fawlty towers with you and Jose??????? I know you are trying to get the best sound, but dont understand the big mikes and you saying you want to be discreet!!!!!! get some off those røde clip-ons next time, unless you trying to get a job with the BBC!!!
That mic uses the rode clip-ons - they are great if there is only two people to be heard, but if there’s a group of people, I have to use the handheld as I don’t have clip-ons for everyone!
I like it, adds to the comedy when he puts people on the spot.
Was hosa dad a fireman
Did you figure out what caused the shaking in the video?
Nope…
I'm glad I'm not the only one who couldn't understand a word jose was saying 😅
The last three island tour didn't go so well for Gilligan and his crew...
Be careful out there
Not sure I follow???
Think there used to be a TV show called Gilligan's Island...
And the song for the show said they went "on a 3-hour tour" on a boat... And they got shipwrecked
So I said "three island tour.".. It's a bad pun, I'll show myself out...
I don't think that they showed, Gilligan's island on the TV in the UK
Punters 😟
Meant in a loving way of course!
