@@urmumgay8542 Yeah, the first 5 I go back to all the time. After that, I just don't feel St. Anger at all--so its not one I listen to. I don't listen to S&M much. Load and Re Load are kind of hit and miss...don't hate, don't overly like. Death Magnetic has its moments. Hardwired isn't bad. I love me some Garage Inc though, but I don't listen to it full near as much as I like it.
Harvester of Sorrow was the first Metallica song i ever listened to when i was only 12, my classmate was singing it because his older brother was a metal head i asked him about it and we listened to it together on his walkman and i’ve been a fan ever since and i’m 41 today and i’m happy you’re enjoying this song and Metallica too
Yah man, that drum beat and all the tempo changes that Lars does is EPIC!! He's basically playing a drum roll with his 2 bass drums and his 2 big floor Tom's, he mixes up the sounds and the rhythm like nobody's business.
This is when James was really feeling confident in his guitar chops. He wanted to show the world Metallica could have intricate song structures. I think he was right. Another great song on the AJFA album is Eye of the Beholder.
This Whole album is epic from start t finish, a technical masterpiece and was ground breaking back in 1988, love your reactions to Metallica, I can see you getting the same feelings I do as you listen, try Shortest Straw if you want to bang your head, it has a brilliant solo also
Most Metallica fans say MOP is their favorite album, mine is AJFA... I love the riffs, the arrangements and the overall vibe and feel of the album. Funny thing is I'm a bass player and well, we all know the story of AJFA and the bass... but still, superb album.
This is just my personal opinion. AJFA start to finish is quite possibly the greatest album ever produced across all genres. I don't know if any other that doesn't have at minimum 2-3 skip over trash filler songs . Every track on this album is a masterpiece of lyrics with purpose and meanings, instrumentation is flawless and unmatched. Greatest album ever written and performed.. That's right, I said what I said.
I used to love seeing the reactions from people when me and my buddies used to cruise around Clifton Hill, Niagara Falls, Ontario with the windows down and this album playing, CRANKED UP TO 11. No better feeling than seeing total strangers shouting out to us to turn it up some more. Metal Heads, gotta love em man
There’s really three different drums he’s using in the intro. The tom and the floor tom is what the main best and then the the double bass drum is kick you hear behind the the Tom fills. Really good drumming by Lars on this one
I saw the And Justice For All concert in Honolulu back when I was in the Marines in the late 80's. Awesome show and my neck was sore like crazy the next day.
My favorite Metallica song! So slow and heavy and full of groove. Plus great lyrics as usual. And you described the drums exactly as I did. So tribal. Sounds like something dark, scary and unstoppable is coming. And no there isn't a bad song on this album.
So awesome to see you back!! You are the only reviewer/reacter that has any musical sensibility and knowledge. Your dissections and observations are the best!
I believe that sound in the background of the intro is bassist Jason Newstead. If you haven't seen any of Metallica's live performances from the ...AJFA tour, do yourself a favor and CHECK. THEM. OUT. Jason's guttural backing vocals add sooooo much to the badass over-the-top energy of those shows. Highly highly recommend their 1989 Seattle show "Live Shit: Binge and Purge"
This was the first Metallica album I heard, the second was the 5.98 EP, I was so hooked and it only got better, that was about 1989. I went in reverse chronological order and melted my face over and over.
Getting way more into Metallica, and this song is cool! Have you listened to Dan's Metallica covers? They're why I got more into Metallica! Nice reaction! Slowly working my way through your many reactions!🤘🤘🤘
Was just listening to this one again, love your reaction man, have to dawn thy stink face😂😂. I just remembered a channel that has done some Metallica covers on the drums with the songs playing in the background. This KID has been playing Metallica since before 10yrs old and absolutely KILLS IT. Don't know if you want to do a video on some of his stuff or not, he does a lot of metal and rock bands too, but this KID is amazing. Even if you can check him out just for your own personal enjoyment, do it, you won't be disappointed. And this also goes out to everyone else who reads this. His channel is Avery Drummer Molek. He has a Metallica playlist and many many more bands and some colabs with other drummer channels. Pretty talented young man, check him out people. He's on 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Dave i would love to see you do Coheed and cambria - the light and the glass live at the starland ballroom. Also the full album: In keeping secrets of silent earth 3. Welcome Home @ guitar session studios. And... lol... "the final cut live the starland ballroom." Gettin greedy with it lol Love your vids bro keep on keepin on.
Born in 77 and hated this when I was a kid till my buddy took me to a Metallica concert in 92. Went from rap to this to punk. Check out some punk bands. Think you might like Society by Pennywise
Check out Danse Bacchanale by Saint-Saens, performed by the Orquestra Sinfonica Juvenil de Caracas. Odd request, but the final horn section is a headbanger for sure. Pumped the channel is back is up and running!
This is their first album after Cliff Burton died....and it is angry AF! Now you need to give a look at the Moscow 1991 version. Just my opinion....that cut is WAY better than the studio version (usually the other way around though, huh?) Great vid. I love that you use your background and knowledge of music to break down these songs. "Liked" and "sub'd"....again ; )
3:58 he could feel the “you take” coming.
Metallica’s compositions are unmatched.
The first four Metallica albums are all masterpieces
Agreed, but ...And Justice For All is my personal favorite
First five in my opinion
Yeah, The black album is a masterpiece too even though it's different. still amazing. Load and after? no.
@@urmumgay8542 Yeah, the first 5 I go back to all the time. After that, I just don't feel St. Anger at all--so its not one I listen to. I don't listen to S&M much. Couldn't agree more man
Kill em all, lightning, puppets, and justice were the albums that set the standard by which all other thrash metal bands are judged.

for real, i cant think of many other albums with such tight, precise playing
drums in this are prob one of my favs of all metallica in all songs, Just so damn powerfull sounding
You are correct And Justice for All is a superb album
The beginning of the song is building, building, building! Building the suspense!! And then ....

I honestly like KEA best, just the raw energy and the no BS attitude of the album is awesome.
This is just my personal opinion.

I totally agree with you. AJFA is ¡¡LA PUTA MADRE!!
One of my favorites!! Listen to this same song from the Moscow 91 concert. EPIC
I used to love seeing the reactions from people when me and my buddies used to cruise around Clifton Hill, Niagara Falls, Ontario with the windows down and this album playing, CRANKED UP TO 11. Every song on this album gives me goosebumps. It's just that good.

You dig it man. It's a headbanger alright! Oh my teen days, what would I give to be back there in the 80s and 90s headbanging with my buddies!
one of my fav. songs for the drums alone
I love the Moscow Harvest out of all of their live Harvests.
My fav album by them too. Thank you fro the content. You didn't lestened to "The Frayed Ends Of Sanity" yet from this album
No dislikes for this.
Rare.
Glad your ok and back!! Try the live Harvester of Sorrow version from 1991 Moscow. You've done Creeping Death just as Epic!!
Moscow '91 is my favorite version of Harvster. It grinds SO perfectly.....that and the Moscow version of Sad But True.
I saw the And Justice For All concert in Honolulu back when I was in the Marines in the late 80's. Awesome show and my neck was sore like crazy the next day.
"have to put forth thine stink face" lol yeah true
Need a Stink Face Tee tbh
i couldn’t stop laughing when he said this lmao
Dude, I'm right with you, metallica are the kings of killer transition, especially this song
I'm pleased you're still at it - thanks 😁 Shortest Straw, Frayed ends of sanity, to live is to die - my favorites on And Justice for all... 😎
Anger, misery. You'll suffer unto me.
The intro has always remained me of "the march of huns" like war or death is coming for you!
u should have way more subs. keep up the good work.
Music speaks to people...this song spoke to you..esp the drums. Love it !!

the fraid ends of sanity is heaps good aswell
"I like and justice for all"... This is great. I felt like the only hold out.
That's the exact word bro ! Prelude to destruction !
My fav metal album ever. Also The Frayed Ends of Sanity from this album is a must listen
Interesting take on the drum beat, just after the intro-An invitational, tribal beat. Enter Sandman also has a unique drum beat.
Yes sir!!!! This was by far, my MOST FAVORITE album from Metallica!!
Was?
The live performance of this song in Moscow is epic.
TO LIVE IS TO DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and master of puppets xd
YES!!!
Wall of sound and outstanding James metal singing.... to me it’s where sabbath passed the torch to.
1:02 Justice is also my favorite album 🤟🔥 while Disposable Heroes is my favorite Metallica song.
I Love what Lars does on them Drums in this Song. It’s fkn Great
Prob my fave album good reaction man .
Love this song love playing it on the drums
Probably the best mixing Left right and full center.
This was the first Metallica album I heard, the second was the 5.98 EP, I was so hooked and it only got better, that was about 1989. I went in reverse chronological order and melted my face over and over.
One of the best songs off Justice and one of my personal faves...glad to see ya back at it, resubscribed.

the drums are 1 unique set, played by Lars and Lars only :)
There is not a bad song on the album and it will add 20Ib to your bench press.
When this song comes on in your car, you get extra 50hp
Great track/reaction brother thank you👏🏼..I needed that👍🏼🤘🏼
Glad you're back man! Love your reactions 🤘
Ah man I need to go back and listen to more Metallica, it's been too long.
One of my favorites.
Digging your Metallica reactions man, alot out here are phony. Glad to see some genuine appreciation for these masterpieces.
Justice for all is their best album (in my opinion) and a must listen song is Blackened. It's fast and powerful and iconic
If you get a chance, give Shortest Straw a go! I really enjoy your reactions! 🤘✌️
Glad to see u back!! The four horseman-metallica
Pink floyd - money
I would love to see you react to this song but in Moscow 1991 live performance, It's so heavy you won't regret it!
And maybe to the one from Las Vegas, 2018/11? That one was also a great performance and had outstandig cinematographic shots!
At 7:58, my favorite part of the song
If u listen to the entire album TURN YOUR BASS UP UP WAY UP as it got the boot
You're the man.
What a great fuckin song
Shortest straw , also eye of the beholder from the same album
This song is about a young Father (I believe) who was living a good life at the beginning, but then he's started murdering his family
A junky more precisely
If you want to hear a mashup of Harvester of Sorrow and Man of Constant Sorrow, look up Harvester of Constant Sorrow by The Native Howl
Please watch the moscow 91 live version of this. Wouldn't be bad to film and share :)

you should react to this song on moscow 91 man
