Thank you for your viewership! I know a lot of you have been here since the beginning. This channel is going to make some BIG changes as you see an increase in video quality and the type of content coming up. I’ve been documenting the touge scene to show the human side of things as well as continuing with the technical driving. To me, involvement in canyon driver’s / touge culture is a night-to-night thing and I want to share the experience. Next video coming up Wednesday (change of pace). Let me know if you want to see something specific. Tutorials are coming up as requested. Till then, love your day! 🖐️
That's great to hear. Good luck with it. Already this video looked really good. The flashing tire camera was a nice touch to watch when you're already focused on the main camera
Man just subscribed to the channel a few days ago and am hooked like a junkie on crack I've liked every single video on here keep it up this is real togue and I love it man makes me go for a RIP every time after I watch
People call it discipline but in my opinion it's skill. If you can't go fast respecting your lane your are just unskilled. I get that by cutting the lane you can go faster but it's unsafe and un-necessary.
I know this is an old video, but I figured I'd ask anyway. 1) Did this car have manual/depowered steering? If not, have you ever driven a Miata with manual steering? I'd love to know your thoughts 2) What are the specs of those Kosei K1s, are they the 15x7 +25?
Hey Ridge Chaser, you should see if you live anywhere near Sushpants. I’m not sure what part or “mexico” you guys race at but the roads seem very similar. I would love to see that, Sushpants likes his Initial D and Eurobeat and has a rivalry with an EG Hatch. He had an 80’s Toyota FX16 GT-S that’s been 20v swapped that screams and he’s still tweaking the suspension. Watch his videos if you haven’t! And I’d love to see you two on the canyons
Yes I have seen his videos! I am not close enough to make consistent content with him, but it may be possible to film a few videos during a trip. I'll leave him a message. Perhaps you could leave him a comment to grab his attention 😇
I love my nb but god damn I have so much trouble learning how to heel toe. Great vid, can't wakt for summer here so I can enjoy driving it even more. And even take it to the Nürburgring.
I tried driving my wifes miata and sent myself off the road (I think the tires are hard / econ and old to boot.) I could drive somewhat similar to this (Probably not as well) if it were my saturn tho lmao. Your vids are sick, and and your feet quick.
You never like your voice on camera? Oh that's a shame. video was great, good fun and the commentary was even better! Keep it up man and be safe out there :)
If it's an automatic car, I always left-foot brake. On roads / manual cars that I am familiar with, I left-foot brake on corners that do not require downshifting before entry. I think Speed Saint does the same thing due to the karting background but not in this case 🤘
@@myyotube8497 I agree that anybody can do it, if they spend the time practicing. He definitely is leaving a lot on the table for braking, and he's not taking a full racing set (balancing the car front to rear, using full scrub). But in my experience, it takes people a while to get to this level. If he was taking a full racing set, he'd be leaving very little margin for error, since it looks like he doesn't know the road. But yeah with a little practice it's very attainable, and compared to true 10/10ths driving it's not requiring that same precision.
This video was just amazing!! I have to ask, how does the nb compare to the na driving wise?? i know the nb has a bit more extra hp and probably torque but on the handling side of thins how much of a difference do you think there is?? Because honestly they both look like so much fun to drive!! :))
Nice vid man! By any chance thou, do you know what kind of brake pads you’re using on the NB? I only ask cause my brakes are always heating up like ass up there.
Hey I know this video is a few years old but may I ask how tall you are? Thinking about picking up a nb for myself but I’m 6’ and afraid I might be too tall haha
@Ridge Chaser I would like to ask You if the way you push the pedals are for some technical part or just it is your way to keep your up your flow? I mean sometimes you rotate your foots while pushing rhe pedals. Dont get me wrong, i am just curious that what purpose these movements serve. I am just getting close to my driving license and i hope i will be as good as you one day
nice video with all the angles and nice driving but as you said, too much shifting especially if it's a VVT i look forward to the new changes and more vids
I'm scared to left foot brake with my Miata, it doesn't have abs or traction control so if I lock up the front wheels I am fucked. Also I feel like left foot braking works better with awd or fwd especially with a turbo
@@Chimera6297 no worries at first try it in safe places like track :), I have same environment in my car, it tooked a while, but abs would destroy whole fun :D
@@FluffySinon yeah I used to do it in my VW GTI and it'd help with the exit speed in the corners, but I just bought the Miata so I'm still getting used to it, as it is a totally different car. No traction control or abs is pretty scary, I've already locked up the front wheels a few times haha. I do like not having traction control tho, it's pretty fun but with my car I'm really on my own, no fancy computers to help me out with the handling. I came very close to hitting a curb too lmao
That camera was just disgusting seeing how far from the edge you had to be on some rights. Any cyclists reading this, I hope you're frickin' proud of yourselves.
Please lower your camera position such that viewers can see through the windscreen at driver's Eye level. I find the sun visor very irritating while I want to see the view in front.
With Miata's we try to do the best we can. Any lower and the camera would be right in front of the driver's eyes, which they need to see. The car has a lower seat since this video which will help out in the future
Nah it's more complicated than that. Try going downhill at 80mph approaching a fast corner and you have to make sharp radius turns at 50-60mph maintenance speed. Your hearts literally feels like its gonna fly out of your chest and every small braking mistake can mean losing traction of the vehicle and flying into a wall even with traction control on. It's not just about drifting anymore. It's about the tenacity to be in the face of so much imminent dangers. Majority of sports car owners can't handle it so they take to the public highways and try to race passenger cars. And better yet. Anyone with a car can do this. You don't need a sports car. You dont need a beefy car to get 90mph going downhill. But you do need good timing and wheels. And brakes.

how did you do your foot cam set up?
Just don't cross the double yellow and you'll be fine. I only cross the double yellow at night and only around corners where I can see the exit
