  • Dustin Bunch was in a boating accident that left him with a severe spinal cord injury. After being told he would never move again, Dustin began an intense regimen of regenerative medicine treatments.
He talks about the amazing results he's seen with Matt Hughes and how Regenerative Medicine has changed his life with his own progress with a combination of physical therapy.

    --------------------Contents of This Video--------------------------
    00:00 - Intro
00:02 - “If you want it to happen, it can happen. You’ve just got to be positive every day. The hardest day was yesterday, and it’s gone.
03:10 - “After the first round of stem cells we slowly got off all medications and I haven’t been on anything since.”
03:21 - “With Araya, she was only 10 months old, we taught her to climb up my legs. I could balance her, and she would come up every night and give me a hug and a kiss and we’d say our prayers. Now, here we are 3 years later, and I can pick her up, I can read books to her, I can turn the tv on for her, and we can watch cartoons.”
03:57 - “Definitely getting stronger and being more independent.”
04:34 - “He makes my job easy. He comes in highly motivated. - Michelle Gaila (Kinesiologists)
06:06 - “ Today I can put on my shirt, I can take off my shirt, I can brush my teeth, I can comb my hair, I can help wash myself, I can get in and out of my house, I can open up my own garage, and I can go miles on end with my dogs on a walk.”
06:30 - “I have my office in my garage, I can get work done and I can be a help financially for my wife and family.”
07:01 - “I couldn’t get my hands over my head, and they said it never would happen. Well, two-year mark I made it be able to happen.”

Dude, your story is amazing! Many prayers for you and your family. Was your SCI complete? My wife is a complete T4, horrible throw from a horse in 2019. She's making progress, too. So many unknowns.

I'm impressed at how dynamic Dustin is and I'm sure he would want to do social things if he could. So I'm wondering about being partially confined, if you have to eat snacks; keep your brain active; and listen to music. In the Yale record the doctor wrote, "She can be compared to a patient waiting for her spinal cord to regenerate." Why wouldn't someone correct that?

Hey Dustin I wanted to send some encouragement and prayers your way. I was injuried 1 year ago and still do not accept this is all there is. Keep working on it, no better motivation that cute kids!
Any way to keep in touch and share experiences as well as what works and what doesn't? I'm in KY now doing a implanted stimulator trial.
