- Deciding to try to have a baby last year was a very long thought out decision. We've spent years working to find stability, where we wanted to live and tried waiting for the right time for us. That not working and having zero answers led us down a pretty familiar path. The "this isn't going to happen for you" path.
This is one of those "you never know what's going on in someone's life so give them some slack" stories. We sat in the infield at Eldora in May at Let's Race Two. Crying because a doctor had just told us we were never going to have kids. I can remember sitting there thinking how pointless this all was because all we have worked for and the one thing that I have asked for through all of this is now never happening. Kevin was a mess. I was a mess. The racecar was a mess.
Every no and decision we've made has now lead us here which is to Stem Cells & BioXcellerator. Go find their Instagram. Google it. We will be traveling to Colombia 4 times over the year. Our hope is to hopefully get the pain Kevin is still in under control. If anything additional comes, that would be cool too. We're hoping by getting Kevin into an even healthier state it will also help us when we are ready for IVF again.
We're going to vlog our trips. This is different. It's hopeful and a big chance. 6 years of this injury and we aren't giving up. I always say we didn't allow it to affect our life but it did. We lost a lot years of our life battling our situation, sadness and what ifs. We also are doing everything we can to make it out on the other side....still. No matter how many times we are told no.

I would recommend trying to get in touch with ricky williams the football player, hes very intelligent and has alot of experience/knowledge with pain and has done extensive research and education around the world, if for nothing else it would at least be worth a shot. I wish you nothing but the best kevin and family its been a great pleasure to watch your videos

My thoughts are with you. I am a T-12, L-1 incomplete paraplegic. I broke my back in an off road motorcycle accident in 1975. Went through a fertility program at the University of Michigan in 1992. My wife and I have two boys now. One has his
undergraduate degree and the other is in graduate school at Harvard. Hang in there and keep the faith. There is life after a traumatic spinal cord injury.

Don't the stem cells come from babies that don't make it!? But there stem cells are still usable
stem cells come from new borns umbilical cord tissue.
the umb. cords are donated!! to a profit making enterprise. that will make tons of $$$$$ from it. some questions need to be asked as the hype dies down.
