    We watched the construction of the McMorran tower with great interest. I remember it was completed in late 1965 or early 66. Soon afterward we had the chance to make the climb to the top. I often spotted Mr. Murphy driving around town in his 1937 Cord, if I'm not mistaken.

    It's sad they have torn Port huron apart so bad.

    What an elegant building....it is so sad that it no longer standing, as the Algonquin .

    What was the cause of the courthouse fire?

      I believe the janitor was heating wax for the floors and it caught fire.

      scott ....arson they attempted to burn down that place a few times to take the land. it took a few fires but finally they did it ...
