My hometown when I was 12 years old. I recognize every street and building. Many memories, so many stories. Thanks for the input.

Even though I live in St. Clair, I still consider Port Huron my town...thanks for sharing this bit of history with us!

Unbelievably beautiful video. I was born and raised in Port Huron Michigan and it is lovely to see it as was so many years ago. It's a tad before my time, but my mother was there in 1942 on Tunnel Street! Thank you for sharing.

I grew up in Goodells. This video totally blows my mind. Makes me wonder if my great-grandfather is wandering around somewhere in the footage. I didn't realize they had leashes for toddlers even back then. I thought that was an 80s thing.
I couldn't wait to get out of there when I was a kid. I joined the military so I could. But now I think about it everyday. It was a kind of a neat place.

I grew up there and as a teenager I thought it was boring as hell. But I went back last year for my 30th High School reunions and realize what a great place it was to grow up. It was a Semi small-town but you had the water, martime history, and Canada was right across the river just a lot of cool stuff. You cannot beat Port Huron in the summertime.

It's nice to finally see the full video that you've shared in your history series! May I share it? I ask because I came to this from the Facebook page, Photos of Port Huron Past. More accurately, by way of Reddit, shared to Facebook. I don't have a Reddit account, so when I saw it was UA-cam, I copied the video link (Reddit did let me watch it, but doesn't have the features UA-cam has). When I copied the link, I got a warning saying it's "Unlisted," so please be respectful of your privacy. Then I pasted the video link into the UA-cam search, and it blocked me from viewing it because it's "Unlisted." But since I'd already begun watching it via Reddit, through the "magic" of my internet browser, I checked my "Watch History" on UA-cam, and voilà! Here I am. But I don't want to disrespect your privacy, so I'll only share if I have your clear permission.

Are you, per chance related to Harold and Lorraine Fleury? They lived out on Allen Road about three houses down from where my family lived - right next to Lorraine's sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Louie Frasier. We moved to Florida in 1959 and came back to visit about every other year.

Love this video. I just wish it was a little slower so I could see all the buildings better.

Just hit the pause button Sylvia :) My dad could only drive so slow because of the traffic I imagine.

    Wow....
Different and the same, some 80 years apart. It's crazy how things can change so much and yet so little in some places, and PoHo seems to be one of them.
I'm a little dissapointed they didn't show the College, but then again if I remember my history right SC4 wasn't established till the 50's, it was still the high school at that point
