Thank goodness I found someone that has practical,researched information on this product...I can not believe how some channels get by by jist uploading themselves using the Iron without giving any information about it and often referring to "i don't know why it does that"..ok,isn't that their job?!..thats why I had to spend 20 minutes just to find a decent video on $$ products . Its really frustrating and unfortunate that they don't realize it is off putting to sub to the channel.. however this channel was a great learning experience 👍
How ironic you did a video on the exact 2 irons I purchased in the last couple of days. First I got the ghd at ulta for $249 usd on Saturday. I was super excited to use it, loved the way it looked and felt. Sadly the ghd performance was very poor for me and I was very disappointed. My hair is very thick and color/bleached so I was thrilled with the prospect of 70% less damage as claimed by ghd. Unfortunately after doing multiple passes over the same thin sections (5+), my hair was only ever partially straightened. It took forever to do my entire head of hair and the results were not good. I returned it the next day and decided to cut off 8 inches of length in frustration. The next day (today) I HAD to have a new iron because my hair is too short to curl. I asked for a recommendation from Salon Centric, my local pro supply store, and was highly recommended to get a bio ionic 10x. As part of a summer sale I got it for -50% which was $98 usd. I set it to 360 but bumped it up to 380 and it was fantastic, one pass, smooth, not a bunch of baby hairs from root sticking straight up as with other brands. I'm a little confused by the vibrating plates but saw in another video it's supposed to get closer to the root. I am very happy with the Bioionic 10x although I loved the look and feel of the ghd. Also want to mention that I did not have product steam or evaporation coming off my hair strands as with other irons. I would recommend the Bioionic.

I know I'm late to this Video, but GHD is amazing! I was out on vacation and me and my cousins were getting ready to go somewhere they let me use their straightener, and it was the GHD. My hair was so silky, and smOOTH, and AMAZING! I loved it.

My GHD does not straighten my hair as much. I have 3b hair types and in medium length. It takes forever to straighten and it doesn’t last long. I just don’t like it. I bought it a while ago so I can’t return it but it’s sad because it’s not good for my hair type. You cannot control the heat settings so it does it for you to prevent damage. However, that prevents it from getting my hair straight
I have only use bio ionic now and I would always recommend. Last for years. Only once had a GHD and it damaged my hair, I returned it. Your review and comments seem very biased towards GHD literally not even one good comment about the Bio Ionic lol I encourage viewers to see other reviews. And I would not recommend a straightener that can’t regulate the temp. This could be disastrous for other kind of hairs but of course you didn’t mention that, I wonder why.

However, I did mention that GHD only has one heat setting ( heat is monitored 250 times per second so that it's constantly at the optimum 365°F styling temperature for even healthier hair). I respect that Bio Ionic is your choice and I still stand by my own opinion with it. Some people might prefer Bio Ionic because of its added features but comfortability wise, I preferred the GhD over Bio Ionic. As I mentioned, both of them are good, but I chose GHD based on my experience. These are just my two scents on these hair products. 🤗❤️
Very nice comparison and you didn’t mention that GHd also has auto shut off feature which is simply peace of mind for people like me rushing in the morning to go to work and then wondering if I turned off my flat iron or not😄
I just placed an order for GHD and also had bought Babyliss which I realized is not supporting 220v so might not be optimum for travel use. My hair is also medium or coarse and freeze at times, hopefully GHD might work.
Just ordered the Bio Ionic 10x to replace my fifth platnium GHD that just stopped working. They are great when they work then they just stop working and flash a red light. Hoping the Bio Ionic lasts longer!

The ghd platinum is WAY too hot it got to 450 with NO heat setting someone with thin processed hair do not get the ghd platinum

Yes! Its even worse when you use the vibrating plates. Heat is not consistent
