When artist leaves you speechless. That’s what Elvis did. His voice was gorgeous
There will never ever be another voice like his
His stage presence is unmatched. Just him and the musicians. That's all.
As Simon Garfunkel said ..how can we compete with that...Elvis is king ...
You know what's funny...I've heard Elvis sing this several times, I knew Paul Simon wrote it, and Art Garfunkel dod lead vocals on their recording, I never listened until not too long ago.
WOW, WOW, WOW, stuck for words, never heard anything like it. He is the greatest, without a doubt.
His face is as emotional as his voice.
No-one even comes close to Elvis!
Like warm butter running through the ears, THE KING
Only one Elvis nothing fake about Elvis real deal always be our man King Elvis.
Elvis voice is Amazing!!❤
Love Elvis always and he was always beautiful
I’ll never ever get tired of watching Elvis sing this song. He sings this song so perfectly and with such ease. Just so wonderful. ❤️
❤️
❤ 🎶 "Beautifully 💘 Sensually Heartfelt ; Feelings. Beloved Elvis Presley 💃 an Extraordinary Voice 🎶 and Persona like No other's.. Magnificence 🏆 ln Abundance. Thanks for Sharing Love 💃 and Enjoy a Fabulous 🌴 Day..". 🎶 ❤
One of my favourite songs sung by Elvis. His vocals & his voice control are just stunning. Paul Simon was in the audience & when Elvis had finished singing, Paul turned to his companion & said “Now how the hell are we supposed to top that?” He said it again in an interview & that was the very best compliment that Elvis could have had. One of Elvis’ girlfriends (1976), said in an interview taking place in Denmark, that after a concert, after he had come down from the huge Adrenalin rush, Elvis would stare out of the window of the car. Once she asked him what he was thinking about, & he replied “Did you see all those people? I can’t believe they were all there to see me.” And she said he was always truly amazed. He was such a humble man, that even after many years of performing, he still found it amazing that so many people had come to watch him perform. I don’t think he ever really understood how greatly he was loved, & is still loved 47 years after his death.
Paul Simon was blown away and said he could never top Elvis' version!❤️
The Simons version was pretty amazing as well. One of my favorites ❤
@@pippahappy9735I agree, when Elvis covers somebody else's song, the writer and performer love it that Elvis covers it, but then some of them say that they cant top a Elvis version. Both Simon/Garfunkel and Elvis do this song perfect, can't go wrong with either.
I love Sounds of Silence too which I thought was haunting a perfect, when I heard Disturbed did a cover version I was very doubtful, but wow it wipes out S/G version
Paul Simon was telling the truth.
@@Mary-bk2wj Agree I love Sounds of Silence its a masterpiece. No ones has come close to singing Elvis version of this song.
Art Garfunkel said the very same thing" That's what happens when you get Elvis covering songs mad famous by the originals Elvis could sing a hymn book hewas and is pure and simple legendary Amazing.
Elvis makes every song his own! He doesn't just sing he feels it!
His face is very good and gentle and his voice is very beautiful and there is no other singer like him until now. He is the sole king in music...
Elvis is too under rated today, people think of him as a caricature or how he looked at the end.
There is no one who comes close to what he could do. He is by far the the greatest entertainer that has or ever will live
You are so right, its a shame that America don't appreciate him more, America should be much more proud of him
He looked good at the end. He had some bad days. He was till end such a Handsome Man and he could sing till end. People should stop for few concerts judge the Man.
@@cindyfranklin3804 You are absolutely right! I'm crazy about Elvis but I don't like to see the last shows. He is completely doped, swollen, even slightly deformed. He's visibly in pain. He was collapsing.
And it's also true that they often talk about Elvis making fun, as if hr was some comic character. The blame is also due to the thousands of impersonators that have appeared over the years, many of them absolutely ridiculous.
So true
You're exactly right. I think if those who make fun of him for the weight gain and only know THAT Elvis, if they go back and watch the '68 comeback, TTWII and Aloha they'd understand and see what the rest of us see.
❤️ 🎶 " Beautifully 💕 Sensually heartfelt Dear John Gibson ❤️ ; Beloved Elvis Presley 💕 an extraordinary Singer and persona 🏆 like no other's.. Magnificence ln Abundance. Thanks for sharing ❤️ Love and enjoy a delightful evening..". 🎶 ❤️
Out of this world. from another planet. amazing !
Elvis should have got a Grammy for this live performance. The worlds greatest entertainer….period. Pure perfection 💙
He was more than a genius..with every song he performed he made you feel his emotions..and still does
I always said that Elvis was hand touched by God.
Its great to see younger people appreciate how great Elvis is .. no one in music today comes anywhere near Elvis' charisma and showmanship ..Elvis was and still is the king of music.. God bless you Elvis .. miss you millions x
I totally agree! Thank you.
He could sing everything. His voice is/was unique. Paul Simon or Art Grafunkel said after hearing this version. How can you compete to this... Yes he is the King😍
John can you play Help me by Elvis
❤ 💃 ❤
❤ 🏆 ❤
❤️ 🎶 ".. Beautifully 💕 Sensually heartfelt ❤️ .. feeling's Beloved Elvis Presley 💕 an extraordinary Singer and persona 🏆 like no other's.. Magnificence ln Abundance. Thanks for sharing ❤️ and enjoy a fabulous day..". Music 🎶 ❤️
Magnificent interpretation!!!!!!!!!!!
Only ELVIS!!!!!!!!!!!
ELVIS was the Greatest Entertainer to have ever lived. He also invented " Being Cool ".
Nobody did it better. You don't get that kind of feeling and emotion from singers or groups today.
He was channeling the divine. There is no doubt about it..
The Voice Elvis !
Elvis revolutionized music, he gave his money away numerous charities, Arizona Memorial completed because of him Polio Vaccine got of the ground because of him, his voice unmatched, no one can come close ever, like John Lennon said Before Elvis There Was Nothing, because of Elvis we had the Beatles, he started everything, The King Elvis !
I totally agree!
❤️ 🎶 "Beautiful Dear John Gibson ❤️ Feeling's. Beloved Elvis Presley 🏆 an extraordinary Singer 🎶 and persona like no other's.. Magnificence ln Abundance. Thanks for sharing Love 💕 and enjoy a delightful evening Dear..". 🎶 ❤️
Beautiful Elvis. 42 years on since his passing. He is and will always be Immortal through his Music.Thankyou for Sharing this Magnificent Performance of his voice.
Does anyone ever even come close, his control and vocal ability is stunning..trUly the KING
Perfect talent
Wonderful Wonderful Voice
Beautiful Beautiful Man
FANTASTIC BRILLIANT PHENOMENAL ELVIS PRESLEY
The King FOREVER
Elvis was born to sing this song!!!❤❤
God lve seen that a 100 tines or more and it still blows me away ....lm 62 .glad the young ones are enjoying the KING .
Elvis is the GOAT, period! This song is about Jesus. When you can't find a friend and you're down and out I will be there like a bridge over troubled water. Praise Jesus, he is always with you.
I don't think it was written with the intention of it being about jesus. I think some people interpret it that way but it's actually a song about friendship. Perhaps reading up on it would help. I'm sure simon and garfunkel have explained The catalyst for this song on several occasions. But originally it was not about jesus... Or God.
The best version of this classic song ! No doubt ! Undescribably beautiful !
I gotta say..Elvis was born to sing this song!!❤
ELVIS'S VERSION OF BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATER IS SUBLIME A MASTERPIECE NO ONE SINGS IT LIKE HE. EVEN PAUL SIMON ONE OF AUTHORS YOU HEAR HIM SING SAID :HOW CAN I SING IT AFTER ELVIS SINGS IT. YOU ARE SO YOUNG BUT YOU HAVE GOOD TASTE IF YOU A FAN OF ELVIS. THE GREATEST SINGER WHO EVER LIVED IN THE WORLD THANK YOU. I LOVE YOU MY KING FOREVER FROM ITALY
I could have not said it better
I think the Simon quote was “how the hell can we compete with that!” (To art)
Once Elvis sang a song.....any song....his stamp was on it, game over it was HIS....🌹🌾😃
❤ 🎶 "Beautifully 💘 Sensually Heartfelt ; Feelings. Beloved Elvis Presley 💃 an Extraordinary Voice 🎶 and Persona like No other's.. Magnificence 🏆 ln Abundance. May You 💘 Rest ln Eternal Peace ✌ and Harmony 🎶 You Will Forever Be Remembered 💃 and So Loved.. ". 🎶 ❤

I'm a little jealous of the people who got to see him live. What a pleasure that had to be.😢😢😢
Rebecca Robbins when I was 9 years old back in 1970 my older sister had bought a couple tickets to Elvis's concert here in Florida and she asked me if I wanted to go with her. I passed up the opportunity to have a sleepover with a couple friends. I have regretted that decision a million times over since that day. 😢
In so sorry to hear that. I can only imagine how that must bother you .None of us thought we would lose him so soon. I know when I heard he was gone I was in shock.😢
I got to see him when I was 15 in June of 1976. He asked for everyone to stand up and sing America the Beautiful because it was the Bicentennial. His song hurt had just came out. It was amazing when he had sung it.
@@KimPatts I would have as well.
@@stacymoore9836 I was in hospital after having my twins when my husband told me he had died, I did not believe him until I went to the waiting room in the hospital and saw the news. I CRIED
Elvis é ser que veio ao mundo com uma voz tão marcante, uma beleza sem comparação, um talento impecável e uma humildade sem igual! Só deixou saudades!!! ❤
che dire ancora di questo
.meraviglioso Elvis❤❤❤🌹🌹
His voice was so compassionate a up lifting.Elvis could make you feel good on your worst day.
Elvis presley version of this song so real a fantastic. I love how Elvis presley put his own emotional feelings into his singing what a voice this man had. I believe he was God's Earth angel. Nobody can top this man in singing looks or genoristy or kindness.
FANTASTIC 👏🏾👏🏾💞💞💞💞💋
Waste of time for anyone to record again. What feeling, voice incredibly done.
He was a wonderful...great singer, musician beautiful man
John Lennon said before elvis there was nothing I'll say after elvis there's been nothing ,elvis the GOAT
One of the greatest live vocal performances ever.......if not the greatest
the greatest !!!!!!
YES - THE GREATEST!
I'd have to see that this is one of the greatest. In my opinion If I Can Dream is THE greatest live vocal performance ever!!
When he hits the low notes .. I just go to pieces lol
Elvis's soul depth and diversity just blows you away.
An artist with very few peers
ELVIS RULES. ALWAYS DID, ALWAYS WILL. 👍👍👍👍
We all age and get old but his voice never failed him,too many people judging him,a great human being
I agree I always tell people first off I’m a huge Elvis fan. But this day I tell people, Elvis by far had one of the greatest voices of all time, and I tell them what unique about Elvis is even as he aged, and even asked his health declined. His voice never failed, and there’s only one other singer that I know that did that to me that was Judy Garland her voice never failed her at the end.
Never heard Elvis sing that, always loved the song❣️
This man reaches in and massages your soul.
YES, WOWWWW!!!
Elvis, THE KING of music!!!
I just loved hearing that man’s voice back then and still now.
Elvis leaves you breathless with this song one of Elvis greatest ever Thanks John great once again!
Amazing!!!!!!!!
The greatest singer.
Elvis had a wonderful voice!!!!!
Elvis "Sings" what he has "Heard" someone said regarding Bridge over troubled Waters. To me it sounds like a gospel and the audience was definitely deeply touched - sounded holy. Absolutely very BEAUTIFUL SONG. Thank you John - yes, one can only say Wow! Greetings dear friend.
Thank you! 😊🙏
Just another day at the races for Elvis. The man was a genius.
Elvis is what you call a real singer who can sing with so much energy who can carry notes hits the highs and lows and was blessed with such a incredible voice he was the best male vocalist in the world
Paul Simon said Elvis took their song to another level. He was blown away. They were right!! Who can compete with Elvis’ version? NO ONE! Omg!! There’s no words to describe this. Incredible 😮😮
Absolutely!!
Simon and Garfunkel’s version is out of this world. But I fully agree John, Elvis is taking it to heavenly level. It cannot be beaten - it is for sure the best performance ever ❤️
Absolutely!
Absolutely!
This performance is perfection.
Elvis truely believes each word of the song as he was so generous, it's even more Elvis' heart than Elvis' voice wich makes this version so powerful
First, I want to thank you for featuring Elvis Presley. I want to always see the future recognize this man and his talent and not the cheap jokes and caricatures comedians try to turn him into. My Aunt attended this particular event and she always said it was magical n that room. Elvis was not a master songwriter or musician but he was a master at the arrangement. Simon Cowell mentioned this in his first book. "Bridge over Troubled Waters," here...is incredible. Art Garfunkal, of "Simon and Garfunkal" was outstanding and truly beautiful when he sang it but, when Paul Simon heard this from Elvis, his quote was: 'How the hell can I compete with that?'” Elvis arranged it to a dramatic, religious hymn quality to it.(That was all him) Amazing. Thank you for this John!!!
Thank you so much! I totally agree with you. Thanks for the great comment.
John; of all the other reactions to Elvis music, YOU are the best brother...your expressions (in awe) to the King's vocals is the same as mine for over 45years...You're 💯% correct, that Elvis voice (what he could do with it; he could hit the high notes, he could hit the low notes, he could shake his voice up or down without screaming or being squeaky) is by FAR the best. Elvis is one of a kind; he was down to earth, his humour was amazing, he could sing any genre (Rock, Rhythm and Blues, Country and Gospel), he never criticized others in the entertainment industry (he was a fan of other artists in the business)...Elvis was the COMPLETE package; never will we see anyone entertainer to grace the stage as Elvis has,and he "did it" his "way" John, I really enjoy your reactions 👍👏
Thank you very much Kenneth! I really appreciate it 🎶☺️
I saw him in person and I always thought " that's the way it is " was the best album with the best songs and arrangements including the one you featured here. This is a film of the Las Vegas engagement from which those songs were taken.
John Lennon said after hearing Elvis sing this song that no one else can really sing it. Elvis saying it was such emotion and feeling
WHAT A VOICE !! ELVIS AARON PRESLEY!
I nerver get tired of him sings this song it’s truly amazing
In concert this one and You´ve lost that lovin´feeling are impossible to beat.Elvis.....what a voice!!!!
The greatest, no contest.
This performance is uncanny. Even perfection will pay it's price....
EXPECTACULARRRR !! EXPECTACULARRRRRRR !!! EXPECTACULARRRRRRRR !! LOOOO AMOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
He was a musical genius
Wow! This performance gets a 10/10! It doesn't get any better than this, agree with you John. Powerful indeed👍⚡🎤
🙏😊
The 68 comeback special he has a awesome songs one night with u and walking back to you awesome
Opera soul and 70s rock in one voice only Immortals can sing in One voice that represents all styles of music in one voice at his best nobody touch Elvis Presley he owns the song he should have received many many more Awards than he had received during his career 1970 was a fantastic year for Elvis
I also have heard this song many many times. But this performance by Elvis is the best ever. The way its starts out quiet an slow then look out ! Wow Perfect of course.
Bonjour John Très belle chanson Quel voie que d émotion elvis et grand magique bise de france
The most amazing version of this song was done by Elvis on June 26, 1977. He stopped my heart when he sang this that night.
There is a similar version he did in April 77, with great sound. Just put. Elvis Bridge over troubled water. Spring tour 77. But I know nothing beats hearing Elvis sing it live
Really, the sick, exhausted, at the end of his life was "the most amazing...." Version.....????????
@@icanfartloud Even thou Elvis was ill. That night he put on a great show. And Bridge over troubled water was a great version he still had the power in his voice which we all know never failed him. So yes it was Amazing and to appreciate it you had to be at that concert. Which this Lady sounds like she was.
@@myelvischannel1992 I was n't there, but yes, it's a great version. You know how I know this.....I have ears.
My god…that was crazy good. Elvis’s vocals and the arrangement are definitely 🔥
Wonderful, amazing... Simply beautiful
Just breath taking beautiful a gift from God a true talent . He makes you feel this song deep in your soul❤
The greatest performance of this song ever by the greatest singer of all time, its just epic TCB
Like you said wow, Glen D Hardin arranged this version. Got all of these concerts. that were filmed for That's the way it is on cd they are all brilliant concerts. Nobody and i mean Nobody can sing that song like Elvis presley. Thanks for your great reaction.
Wow didn’t know that Glen D Hardin arranged this version! Thank you!
@@johngibsonmusic Yes, he did a great job and I think this performance is the best I've ever heard of this song, even Paul Simon was blown away when he went to see Elvis live. Elvis did arrange all the vocals, you can see him talking to the backing singers in the documentary. Elvis was in peak form in 1970, looking and sounding terrific, that's how I like to remember him, enjoying performing and happy.
I'm a huge Elvis fan and live in Nashville. I was eating at a restaurant alone one time and I saw an older man at the salad bar near where I was seated. This man looked So familiar but at that second I could not place him so I asked. He said "I'm Glen Hardin". I said you played piano for Elvis. He said "Yes that was a long time ago" Great memory and nice guy.
Elvis Was a perfectionist. He would do a song over and over until he thought it was right. And the thing of it was it was prefect the first time. But in his eyes it wasn't. He is and always will the best entertainer ever. He has been gone for 46years and NO ONE can come close to fill his shoes.
SI , ES UN GRAN Y UNICO MEJOR FENOMENO QUE DIOS CREO ENTRE MUCHOS SIMPLES MORTALES.
