i don't care if it takes months, i don't care if it takes years. Once RB4's ending is released I am certain it will be worth the wait. you know, a part of me really resonated with the second half of the video. i'm a 3d animation major who just completed his studies at a community college, and i've had every tool, every program, and the entire summer to work on whatever came to mind, but I hesitated. I've done nothing to further my artistic career during my entire 4 month long break. Sure, I had a job and gatherings with family/friends which took away some valuable time, but in my opinion i just can't excuse myself for not taking advantage of all the free time i had, and i resented myself for it. I just felt drained, suffocating under the weight of expectation with nothing to show. So I absolutely empathize with the "I should have" part. I know this sounds an awful lot like a pity party, but i just wanted to vent about what i'm feeling as of late.

I can guarantee that we, the fans you grew and earned, would be more willing than EVER to wait just that little bit longer for a glourious finale for such an amazing project. Stay strong, dude. RB has spoken so much to me over the years & its a series i hold extremely close to my heart, & I want to let you know how much i love your creativity & your passion. I understand the "shouldve" mindset more well than I'd like to, but keep in mind that just with RB alone, you've already made 15 amazing final products, which is 15 more than a lot of people with the same aspirations, myself included. & thats not even counting Halo Friends & everything else! I'll be praying for your sleep apnea, as well as your full schedule, but just know that I'm not in a rush for RB4E5. Take as much time as you need to complete your vision!
You have taken something that started as a jokey meditation on an old toy series and through insane writing skills, fantastic composition, and genuinely fantastic cinematography, made it into something that's emotionally impactful and reflective for those who even slightly interacted with the same toys. If anybody deserves *all the time in the world* to make what they think is right, it's you. Take a year, and then some, if you need it. I know I'll be waiting for you right here.
This hits sort of close to home for me. For the past couple of years I've been trying to get going on creating something myself, and all I currently have to show for it is a couple of little prototypes sitting on my desk. It's almost embarrassing to tell people about since it's such a thorough and near complete plan with so little progress. I've been slowly getting better though, and that progress is finally coming along. We just gotta keep going.

Went down a nostalgic Bionicle rabbit hole recently for the first time since I first sold most of my old collection almost 13 years ago. Came across this series, yesterday and binged the whole thing, the quirkiness, and genuine love for the franchise that's been put into this series has been an absolute joy to watch. I recently rewatched the whole series, and I gotta say... I loved it. I’m not very good with words, but I enjoy what you’ve made and will wait as long as I need to see what will you put out.
Whatever you end up releasing, whenever you end up releasing it, will be worth it and will make the community immensely happy. As a creator, I sympathize with anxiety over missing self-imposed deadlines, the fear of disappointing people, and all that stuff, so I totally get what you're feeling because I've experienced it over the years (though not with anything as time intensive and complex as RB). As a fan of yours, though, from my POV you've banked enough goodwill over the years by putting out consistently high quality bangers for me to basically just have blind trust in the quality of what you produce (and the patience to know that it'll be worth the wait). Try to relax and take as much time as you need. Meeting anniversary deadlines is cool, but ultimately that won't be the legacy of your creation. The quality of the work, the messaging, and the part of your soul you put into it will be what leaves the biggest impact, not the little numbers signifying its release date. We're all pulling for you dude
If there is one pattern I’ve noticed with the RB series, it’s that you’ve taken your time to carefully craft each episode, and as a result they’re not just amazing, but they’re worth rewatching over and over. We're all fans of a franchise that's basically been dead for a decade. No matter how long you take, no matter how big of a cliffhanger you leave us on, we'll be very grateful for your videos and your effort.
Bionicle started when I was one year old, and by the time I was old enough to understand what LEGO was, I was still not quite able to comprehend it. Most of what I know about Bionicle I found out after the theme finished for the first time, and I've still got a lot to work out about it, but it definitely intrigues me, and I kind of get a second hand nostalgia from it, if that makes sense. Reviving Bionicle still speaks to me. I had a friend at school who liked Bionicle, and he sometimes tried to explain bits of the story to me and show me home movies people had made with the figures on UA-cam (we're talking really early UA-cam here). RB, in its very homemade style, is reminiscent of those home movies, and by that it has a nostalgic sense to it, which is apt considering the themes and subject matter. I also find that it speaks more broadly too, about looking back on and trying to get back to something from the past that you miss. No matter how out of the loop I am about Bionicle, or how much Bionicle is not really as dear to me as I can see it is to other people who were in the right place at the right time for it, I can definitely relate to missing something and a time which is now gone. Also, I'm a writer (or at least, trying to be). This past year I 've been trying to write a novel as part of a university writing course, and it has definitely been a rollercoaster. The act of creating is sometimes a joyous and exciting thing, but also somehow simultaneously excruciating. One day you feel things are going great, and you've got this fantastic idea in your head that you can't wait to get out into the world. The very next morning, you want to throw in the towel and quit everything and oh-goodness-why-am-I-doing-this-why-help. You say that RB is your outlet for expression. I can see that, and that's what makes it really special. Take as long as you need, because these things can't be rushed; it hurts the art and the artist. (Does this ramble on a bit? Probably. Hopefully what I'm trying to say gets across. For someone who wants to be a writer I sometimes find it very hard to make things that aren't fiction make sense.)
it's alright to feel this way. its kind of comforting to know a creator i like and idolize feels these same feelings i do, and it's great you're telling us. i havent checked in this channel in a while, school consuming my life and draining me. reviving bionicle is one of my favorite indie serieses, and inspires me tbh to make something that'd seem like just something for goofs but has actual heart and soul in it. take the time you need to create the finale, we'll wait for it! ps. i think its kinda cool the first ever r.b clip was 6 days before my birthday happened in 2012. unrelated but thought it'd be nice to mention

I'm in my last year studying in a creative field currently. expectedly I've been feeling really burnt out, both with studying and external life stuff. but reviving bionic is one of those pieces of art that just reminds me why I love doing what I do and being who I am. this series is one of the most authentic pieces of art I've seen.
Bionicle is my childhood, i grew up with it, this serie filled me with nostalgia for bionicle, and i hope you finish it with a grande finale that will be remembered for years and years.

Hey bro, Nathan, as a random person, I’ve been through depression, mainly high anxiety and stress. As weird as this sounds, I eat, sleep and shit with this series on. Idk what I’m doing anymore and I e been disassociating and phasing in and out. But man, this series has a lot of heart and I can see that. It really has helped me in this difficult time. You are not disappointing us fans. We all go through stuff that sucks. Lost, fatigue, frustration, everything sucks. But, “as long as you can breathe, strength will find you”. Just be yourself, don’t make this into something big or grand. Just like you said, this is “your” series. Freaking the writer of bleach hated milking the shot outta his series and it took a kid on his deathbed to tell him to finish his story the way “he” intended to. Take your time, and also as a writer, I haven’t even gotten back to my writing, and yet even I have friends who are waiting for me to finish. Take your time, we are all here for ya. Even though we might not be the people you interacted or spent time with, we are still here, and that’s all that matters. Nowadays while I don't have the exact same issues or problems I think I can relate with the idea of being frustrated that you can't create something meaningful to you, mentioning how you've had quotes and lines in your head for years resonated with me a lot. While i can't wait for the finale, I also know that like all art these things take time to make and time for the human(s) behind them to be able to get to a point they can make it. But from one creator to another don’t let these things get to you; you made a genuine piece of art, a testament to the current post-modern age with rather deep philosophical themes. No matter how long it takes, I know your shit will slap. So take it easy, don’t stress yourself out and do things at your own pace. I theres anything i’ve learned its that taking things slowly or doing then when you can makes the best results.

I know I'm late to the party, but I thought I could share my thoughts on this, considering how much Reviving Bionicle means to me. As someone who has been a fan of this series since 2016, I think shortly after RB 3 finished, it has been an amazing journey. Going through the series for the first time was an experience, starting off as this funny and simple premise, to an engaging story with so much to offer in terms of writing and presentation. The wait between releases was long, but rewarding, with each release being incredible, bringing more to the story and characters. And here we are, at the end of that journey. Obviously, you should take your time with this. Aside from crafting something you're really proud of, you should make sure that you're ok. So no matter how long it will take until it's out there, we'll be there. Another thing to touch upon is the "should have" portion of the video. Honestly, I felt something in that. As someone who writes and draws, I do have a similar feeling of having all these really cool ideas, but they're just waiting there, not fully realized. I'll admit, it's more so procrastination in my case, but I still feel that frustration. Anyways, I think that is enough from me. Whenever the finale releases, I'm sure it will be something special, something beautiful..

As a creator, I sympathize with anxiety over missing self-imposed deadlines, the fear of disappointing people, and all that stuff, so I totally get what you're feeling because I've experienced it over the years (though not with anything as time intensive and complex as RB). As a fan of yours, though, from my POV you've banked enough goodwill over the years by putting out consistently high quality bangers for me to basically just have blind trust in the quality of what you produce (and the patience to know that it'll be worth the wait). Try to relax and take as much time as you need. Meeting anniversary deadlines is cool, but ultimately that won't be the legacy of your creation. The quality of the work, the messaging, and the part of your soul you put into it will be what leaves the biggest impact, not the little numbers signifying its release date.

If there is one pattern I’ve noticed with the RB series, it’s that you’ve taken your time to carefully craft each episode, and as a result they’re not just amazing, but they’re worth rewatching over and over. The time you take between episodes has only been beneficial to the series, so regardless of how long the next episode takes to make, I know it’ll be worth the wait.

We're all fans of a franchise that's basically been dead for a decade. No matter how long you take, no matter how big of a cliffhanger you leave us on, we'll be very grateful for your videos and your effort.
Bionicle started when I was one year old, and by the time I was old enough to understand what LEGO was, I was still not quite able to comprehend it. Most of what I know about Bionicle I found out after the theme finished for the first time, and I've still got a lot to work out about it, but it definitely intrigues me, and I kind of get a second hand nostalgia from it, if that makes sense.
Reviving Bionicle still speaks to me. I had a friend at school who liked Bionicle, and he sometimes tried to explain bits of the story to me and show me home movies people had made with the figures on UA-cam (we're talking really early UA-cam here). RB, in its very homemade style, is reminiscent of those home movies, and by that it has a nostalgic sense to it, which is apt considering the themes and subject matter. I also find that it speaks more broadly too, about looking back on and trying to get back to something from the past that you miss. No matter how out of the loop I am about Bionicle, or how much Bionicle is not really as dear to me as I can see it is to other people who were in the right place at the right time for it, I can definitely relate to missing something and a time which is now gone.
Also, I'm a writer (or at least, trying to be). This past year I 've been trying to write a novel as part of a university writing course, and it has definitely been a rollercoaster. The act of creating is sometimes a joyous and exciting thing, but also somehow simultaneously excruciating. One day you feel things are going great, and you've got this fantastic idea in your head that you can't wait to get out into the world. The very next morning, you want to throw in the towel and quit everything and oh-goodness-why-am-I-doing-this-why-help.
You say that RB is your outlet for expression. I can see that, and that's what makes it really special. Take as long as you need, because these things can't be rushed; it hurts the art and the artist.
(Does this ramble on a bit? Probably. Hopefully what I'm trying to say gets across. For someone who wants to be a writer I sometimes find it very hard to make things that aren't fiction make sense.)
it's alright to feel this way. its kind of comforting to know a creator i like and idolize feels these same feelings i do, and it's great you're telling us. i havent checked in this channel in a while, school consuming my life and draining me. reviving bionicle is one of my favorite indie serieses, and inspires me tbh to make something that'd seem like just something for goofs but has actual heart and soul in it. take the time you need to create the finale, we'll wait for it!

You gotta focus on what you *have* done and not what you haven't. You've had a goal in mind for the past decade and have been consistently working towards it and one-upping yourself in the process, while juggling various other life responsibilities, and that's INCREDIBLE. Reviving Bionicle has gone from a fun little web series with some in-jokes and a simple aspirational message to something that has genuinely left an emotional impact on me and shifted my outlook on life and the way I interact with others, and I've loved it every step of the way. Good art takes time, so take your time.

Hey bro, Nathan, as a random person, I’ve been through depression, mainly high anxiety and stress. As weird as this sounds, I eat, sleep and shit with this series on. Idk what I’m doing anymore and I e been disassociating and phasing in and out. But man, this series has a lot of heart and I can see that. It really has helped me in this difficult time. You are not disappointing us fans. We all go through stuff that sucks. Lost, fatigue, frustration, everything sucks. But, “as long as you can breathe, strength will find you”. Just be yourself, don’t make this into something big or grand. Just like you said, this is “your” series. Freaking the writer of bleach hated milking the shot outta his series and it took a kid on his deathbed to tell him to finish his story the way “he” intended to. Take your time, and also as a writer, I haven’t even gotten back to my writing, and yet even I have friends who are waiting for me to finish. Take your time, we are all here for ya. Life is long enough. I am fine as long as it comes out eventually. Its a great Series whit good jokes, and some interesting emotions, and psychie behind the Charakters. Tahus Depression was so complex, and Kopaka trying to keep everyone together made him very distinctive as Charakter. Its good, I am looking forward to it.

Nowadays while I don't have the exact same issues or problems I think I can relate with the idea of being frustrated that you can't create something meaningful to you, mentioning how you've had quotes and lines in your head for years resonated with me a lot. While i can't wait for the finale, I also know that like all art these things take time to make and time for the human(s) behind them to be able to get to a point they can make it. But from one creator to another don’t let these things get to you; you made a genuine piece of art, a testament to the current post-modern age with rather deep philosophical themes. No matter how long it takes, I know your shit will slap.
So take it easy, don’t stress yourself out and do things at your own pace. I theres anything i’ve learned its that taking things slowly or doing then when you can makes the best results.

I know I'm late to the party, but I thought I could share my thoughts on this, considering how much Reviving Bionicle means to me. As someone who has been a fan of this series since 2016, I think shortly after RB 3 finished, it has been an amazing journey. Going through the series for the first time was an experience, starting off as this funny and simple premise, to an engaging story with so much to offer in terms of writing and presentation. The wait between releases was long, but rewarding, with each release being incredible, bringing more to the story and characters. And here we are, at the end of that journey. Obviously, you should take your time with this. Aside from crafting something you're really proud of, you should make sure that you're ok. So no matter how long it will take until it's out there, we'll be there. Another thing to touch upon is the "should have" portion of the video. Honestly, I felt something in that. As someone who writes and draws, I do have a similar feeling of having all these really cool ideas, but they're just waiting there, not fully realized. I'll admit, it's more so procrastination in my case, but I still feel that frustration. Anyways, I think that is enough from me. Whenever the finale releases, I'm sure it will be something special, something beautiful..
