    Too bad youtube didn't exist 20 years ago, this technique definitely could have saved a lot of kids from chipping their teeth

    I used to use a butter knife to wedge them apart, but I've also learned that a brick separator can do the same thing!

    How I managed to do this *multiple times* as a kid without breaking ANY of them is nothing short of the protection of Mata Nui.

  • @vthesnail
    @vthesnail Рік тому +7

    Actually there's an even easier method. By using a brick separator (ironically) and wedging the thinner end of it between the head and brain stalk you can crowbar it out pretty easily.

    just use that orange brick separator piece that comes in certain lego sets and wedge it in between the head and brain stem, comes apart easily

      @@papermadhatter5 Ha, it’s okay. Parts of the video, out of context, would make someone certainly raise an eyebrow, if they didn’t know you were working on a Lego piece, and not a REAL, human head.
      Also, no joke, this is THE best way I think I’ve ever seen for getting those transparent pieces off the head piece. I remember trying, way too many times, as a kid to get the pieces out. I remember I actually even tried to pull it out with my teeth, and damaged the “mouth”, I think on my Gali head.
      By the way… how DID you figure this out, in the first place? I think after I messed up that head piece, I just considered this a lost cause.

      @@K12machinima ive done this probably a few dozen times. half of the time with a screw driver when i was a kid. and that worked 7/10 times. the other half with the "youtube method" which had about a 6/10 success rate. and by combining both methods, i got a 10/10. so im pretty happy with it, haha

    One method i found worked is with a nail file or exacto blade. Just get the file tip into the small gaps on either side of the brain neck connector and wiggle until its loose enough to pull out.
