Actually there's an even easier method. By using a brick separator (ironically) and wedging the thinner end of it between the head and brain stalk you can crowbar it out pretty easily.
@@papermadhatter5 Ha, it’s okay. Parts of the video, out of context, would make someone certainly raise an eyebrow, if they didn’t know you were working on a Lego piece, and not a REAL, human head. Also, no joke, this is THE best way I think I’ve ever seen for getting those transparent pieces off the head piece. I remember trying, way too many times, as a kid to get the pieces out. I remember I actually even tried to pull it out with my teeth, and damaged the “mouth”, I think on my Gali head. By the way… how DID you figure this out, in the first place? I think after I messed up that head piece, I just considered this a lost cause.
@@K12machinima ive done this probably a few dozen times. half of the time with a screw driver when i was a kid. and that worked 7/10 times. the other half with the "youtube method" which had about a 6/10 success rate. and by combining both methods, i got a 10/10. so im pretty happy with it, haha
One method i found worked is with a nail file or exacto blade. Just get the file tip into the small gaps on either side of the brain neck connector and wiggle until its loose enough to pull out.
Man just casually lobotomizing those poor bionicles.
Man, what UA-cam allows on their platform these days…
(Kidding of course for those of you who couldn’t tell)
Ive seen the guy in your pfp attempt far worse. Hasn't been very successful with these kids always foiling his plans plenty of times though
Cat shows up at 3:02
you're the real hero here, haha
I wondered how to do this my whole life
But how do I apply this to people?
I don’t even own any bionicles, why am I watching this
idk, did it show up on your feed? haha
Yes
I also have an old box of them
I dont have any ether
Listen to 2:15 without context.
Does this kill the bionicle?
probably.
the eyes are the window to the soul.
however, some matoran dont even have eyes, haha
Brian surgery.
Heads without brain stems are just feet
yep. sure are
Oh to feel that click one more time 🥲
"How to remove brain stem from toa without breaking it" My brother in the Great Beings, toa cannot live without their brain stem.
Not great toa kopaka
Bro, the Turaga had heads as their faces 😂
@@obercanober4182 don't you mean feet?
Too bad youtube didn't exist 20 years ago, this technique definitely could have saved a lot of kids from chipping their teeth
I used to use a butter knife to wedge them apart, but I've also learned that a brick separator can do the same thing!
thanks for the advice! :)
wish i had used a butter knife, probably more effective.
How I managed to do this *multiple times* as a kid without breaking ANY of them is nothing short of the protection of Mata Nui.
Oooooh!! I always thought my dad glued them in! He wasn't lying to me!
Bruh!
I feel that, like dad I can build the toy myself how dare you.
Alright folks, today im gonna show you how to do brain surgery on your bionicles for "medical reasons"

How to turn a head into a foot in 3 easy steps.
You are a lifesaver!
im glad it worked for you. :)
cats watching because he cant afford to break any more of these too
just use that orange brick separator piece that comes in certain lego sets and wedge it in between the head and brain stem, comes apart easily
Gods wept
whats that?
@@papermadhatter5 Ah, I am just very happy. I am sorry. Incredibly glad to have found this.
New from Lego Bionicle....
The lobotomy set
Each brain harvested seperatedly.
Bros been lobotomized T-T
I tried this out and…
it FREAKING WORKED!!!
Thank you! Nice cat by the way!
damn I wish i knew this like 20 years ago lmao
It's been a very long time since I saw a Toa "eye piece" separated like that
I use a brick separator
"This is how you separate your brains from heads."
UA-cam: You what now?!
i just put my nails between the brain and skull behind the eyes and pry them out. 8/10 times its easy..
the other 2 times im just a lazy weakling..
please make a vid. theres not enough videos on this which is why i made one, haha
@@papermadhatter5 way too shy. sorry x.x
Did that as a kid, lost half of my nail
idk how, but i used to do this with my fingers all the time as a kid and i was chocked as an adult when i found out that this is a problem

“I have used flathead screwdrivers, removing heads before, and messed things up…”
Me: 👁👄👁
“… and scratched up the pieces…”
Me: “Oh, okay…”
im quite confused by this comment.
can you translate it for me?

I just assumed it was impossible
TYSM!
Just use a new brick separator
