1:11 If you aren't aware (I'm surprised Mikey didn't mention it so maybe he wasn't aware either), Ninetales is a Kitsune, a Yo-Kai from japanese folklore. It's often depicted as a malevolent fox spirit with 9 tails that uses fire and illusions. And Yo-Kai in Pokémon like Froslass the Yuki-Onna for example are often Ghost types since they're spirits, so the Ghost type makes sense for Ninetales. @@Robin280497 fair enough
that fairy type ditto would actually become a menace, switching into it from a dragon type move with its hidden ability to immediately become a copy would be an amazing way to take out a dragon threat with something like a choice scarf
"Healing is Fairy type" Oh yeah... Zacian healing the Burden of being alive since debut :'3
I need someone to make an “Ooops All Dual Types” rom hack with this setup now.
30:30 Now we need another form of Polteageist that is Ghost/Fire, like a hot coco one
my favorite mandjtv videos are the ones where mikey yaps for the better half of an hour

Great vid, love when you cover quirky, not thought of before topics!
One video idea I would love to see is "What Pokemon feel the most like their type?". Like, out of all the water-type Pokemon, which one feels like it is the poster child of the water type. It would be cool to use both the appearance and the personalities of the Pokemon. (I also think id be fun to see who the most watery water-type or most steelish steel-type is)
me who organizes boxes by types: *sobs uncontrollably*
You use the first type only and nothing changes
Emperor Cubone has a really great series based around this same concept that I’d recommend checking out!
Ninetales should totally be a Fire/Ghost: Learns a ton of ghost moves, was literally created via the souls of saints, has so many magical/spirtual elements to it's lore, curses people, and is based on a Kitsune: an often maleomenvnt spirit/deomn supernatural creature. Plus, that Fire/Ghost compliments it's Alolan Ice/Fairy type well.
tbh a pokemon that changes type every evolution cause he is holding a different item in each one does sound kinda neat to me

The Spoon joke got me just from the delivery. This is the second time a random spoon joke got me. The first time was on a YTP video of Monsters INC. where Mike Wozowski says “I’ll dig a tunnel and release spoons into the wild”.
Mickey: "Suicune would gain the-
Me: Oh surely it's ice! Everyone complains about it not being an ice type normally.
Mickey: -FLYING"
You shoulda made Ditto Normal/Psychic, due to the _extremely_ common fan theory that Ditto was a failed Mew clone.
kyogre being water electric so that groudon has something on it seems nice but it also sounds incredibly broken to give it STAB rain thunder and cancelling its weakness to opposing thunders lmao
Let’s make all Pokémon dual types. **Adds dark type**
I love the fact we can say he's literally being sincere when giving the types, it's so convincing and make me agree with all
1:11 If you aren't aware (I'm surprised Mikey didn't mention it so maybe he wasn't aware either), Ninetales is a Kitsune, a Yo-Kai from japanese folklore. It's often depicted as a malevolent fox spirit with 9 tails that uses fire and illusions.
And Yo-Kai in Pokémon like Froslass the Yuki-Onna for example are often Ghost types since they're spirits, so the Ghost type makes sense for Ninetales.
Not only that, but it also learns Ghost Type moves like Spite and Confuse Ray naturally as a Vulpix.
They are dark types too.. Since Shiftry should be a tengu and Lombre should be a kappa
@@Aceofknowledge101 Yes I know, and well a lot of Yo-Kai are neither of those types. Like Mawile or Revavroom and well, as you said, Shiftry and Lombre. Though Lombre is not a Dark type.
@@Oceane1803 oh.. Yeah, I forgot that
Volbeat and Illumise could also work as Bug/Fairy since they look like little fairies and they learn a handful of fairy moves.
I would’ve made raikou electric/flying (flying in the “elemental air” sense) and suicune water/ice because 1. I always thought it was and 2. The “north winds” thing mentioned in the Pokédex entry

Michael has never died, is a vessel of type-oriented souls, and has cursed in the past.
BUT HEY, THATS JUST A THEORY, A GAAAAA-
-AAMME THEORY!!!!
THANKS FOR WATCHING
13:08 Certified "people die when they are killed" moment 🐧
The reason Steel Type is called Steel and not Metal isn't because it's just for Pokemon made of Iron (like Copperajah), but instead because "Steel Type" sounds better than "Metal Type". Same reasoning as Grass instead of Plant or Nature.
Also, Florges is NOT fused with flowers.
In Spanish, Grass type is "Tipo Planta" (Plant Type in English actually 👻
