I have no words to describe the feelings the relationship between Spiro and Louisa is causing me. I feel the dictionaries of all the world and the beyond would not be enough for this beautiful and bittersweet love story. What happened between the real Spiro and Louisa will remain a hidden secret, taken with them in the afterlife, but in this masterpiece of a TV adaptation, these two people met their soulmate the moment Spiros pressed his car's horn that very morning, in 1935, while driving up a hill to help a family of 5. Always by their side, helping and supporting the Durrells, offering to be there for all of them whenever they needed him (or not), Spiros did become the 6th Durrell and the man that won Louisa's heart from the start, even if neither admitted it out loud. If there's one thing that these two taught us is that sometimes true love is right in front of us and we should grasp it at once, because you never know what awaits you the next morning.
Once again, I cannot thank Alexis Georgoulis enough, for believing in this story even before anyone else considered it as a possibility. And of course, words will always fail me when it comes to the insanely amazing Keeley Hawes, whose love for the Durrells and her devotion to Louisa gave us the most lovable imperfect TV mama of all time, one who everyone in the world wished to get the happiest of endings... Or rather, the happiest new beginning!

Just finished binge watching The Durrels, I can't stop crying as I was overwhelmed with emotions. Thank you for putting this together. Will shared it with the world.
The Durrells will forever be one of my new timeless favourites to watch... I laughed, I bawled like a baby, I fell in love with every single character and the family.. And thrn there's Spiros and Louisa... Thry are gold dust and although, in a way, them not ending together is the most realistic ending, the way their love and relationships builds through friendship and grief and laughter and common goals and love is just utterly beautiful and I wept... Thank you! :) ❤️ xx
You just made my day with this video!! I've just finished binge-watching The Durrells and I've loved every single moment of it! It felt like a dream, some heavenly angle of the Earth where everything seems better and bright! Useless to say that Louisa & Spiros stole my heart, eternally! I have a thing for these kind of stories, a little bit impossible but so intense and pure at the same time, so I easily fell in love with them! I love everything you've written and I agree with every word! What I loved most about Louisa & Spiros is exactly their unconditional loyalty, they loved each other since the beginning without asking nothing in return, especially Spiros who just wanted to be there for them, all of them. I recently re-watched the episode of the storm, 2x04, and talking about Hugh, Louisa tells Larry that he didn't face the storm just to see her. Only few minutes after, Spiros (and Theo, my love) appears at the door because he was worried about Louisa! That's pure love in my opinion, when you give everything without expecting something in return! I don't know if the real Spiros had romantic feelings for Louisa and if she felt the same for him, but even Gerry wrote in his book that he adored her and became family for all of them! So thank you for this wonderful video!

Spyros is a greek name from saint spyridon of corfu, saint spyridon is the very protective of CORFU and makes many miracles
Even though it took me a couple of episodes, I fell in love with The Durrells and it has become one of my favourite shows ever! The characters are so authentic, they feel like real people and as if I knew them personally. I cried like a baby watching the last episode and I cry again every time I listen to the "Louisa and Spiros" theme.
"Alexis Georgoulis"'s last name justifies his personality-- gorgeous :P . I was watching another video where he was termed as "George Clooney of Greece". I think in real life (here he is acting older), he is more handsome than George Clooney

Well, this was absolutely exquisite and perfectly captured the very essence of their beautiful, frustrating relationship. Truly, sunshine in a bottle. The music, the interplay of the dialogue, and the steady progress through the series as a whole. Beautiful.
If you ever retune to making videos of this series, might you edit together a video inspired by Dollsome's fanfic, "A Little Miracle," on Ao3. It's the perfect continuation to The Durrells' season 4, and really runs with the plot thread that Larry stayed behind in Corfu (and now, upon returning home to England, brings with him a gift for Louisa).
Just finished watching the four seasons and absolutely loved it......a masterpiece! ....sad sad ..will get the book now....wish there was season 5 :-(

A könyvekben egyáltalán nem jött össze Spiroval, meg csak utalás sem volt rá, hogy tetszenének egymásnak! Nem értem, miért kell így eltorzítani a könyvet! Annyi volt közös a könyvben és a sorozatban, hogy Korfun játszódott és a Durrell család volt benne!
A cselekményt fel sem lehetett ismerni!
