Hi Huascar, First Mate is just about my favourite design or a number of reasons. Her hull is an example of what is generally called a ‘Dory Skiff’, and as such she is an easily-built boat which both sails and rows nicely. Well-proportioned Dory Skiffs are very seaworthy for their size. Her weight will vary substantially depending on the builder and the density of ply used, but I expect a hull weight of around 80kg (176lbs).
