For those of you looking to make the "Lore Accurate" version of Nuka Cola, note that the recipe calls for the _essences_ of the 17 different fruit, and not necessarily their juices. To pull this recipe off, you'll need flavor extracts of most of these fruit. Also, if you add grape juice, use the dark variety as this helps maintain the color of the final product better. IDK how or why you got recommended on my youtube (I love fallout but never watch videos on it, or Skyrim) but I got recommended your first fallout cookbook video and loved it. Cant wait to see more
For the people at home watching this: Instead of adding water, then ice and then the syrup, add ice first, then the syrup, and then the seltzer water. This way, you can control how much dilution you need without overfilling your cup, or using more syrup
Two things. One, the Book Nuka Cherry could probably be a brighter red if you left out the browning sauce when making normal Nuka Cola syrup. Two, 76 is pretty good now. Bethesda really turned things around.
ya know i doubt they ever will but i hope they make another one of these with recipes from 76 as there is some food and drinks in that game that would be really cool to make IRL though hopefully they leave nukashine out of it as i dont want to black out and wake up somewhere else
Drink Nukashine and one of two things will happen... You will black out and stay that way. You will black out and wake up in/think you're in a world far into the future where there was some kind of nuclear war.
Great video! I haven’t made the quantum yet because I couldn’t see it being that beautiful color with the pomegranate juice and fruit punch added. Looks like the nuka cherry is also not as pictured which is disappointing but it makes sense. I actually like the quartz but it is very simple tasting. I’m curious: what size jars were you using to store the syrups? They look perfect!
Thanks Charity! I believe the mason jars I used were 500 ml wide mouth. Although for the regular Nuka Cola recipe I had to use two jars because it was a big batch but only showed one in the video.
Hey great video! Just wanted to let you know that the cardamom you used for the original recipe looked like black cardamom, which has been smoked / caramelized and will have a very different flavor profile than the green variety. Maybe you already know, and I'm dumb, either way thought I'd drop a comment :P. Edit: thinking about it black cardamom could potentially work really well with the flavor of oldschool coke, interesting.
That's a very good point. The cookbook didn't specify which one to use and since I had the black version already in my pantry I figure might as well use it. Next time I'll try the green one to compare
As a cola afficionado, I'm glad I found this vid. I'm gonna try and see if I can make my own cola from here. Also buying the cookbook for my flatmate, who's a big fallout fan.

i like how at the end he added the nuka cherry ( book recipe) to the float and was like "this is a great idea." then nodded like "definitely the best idea"
Hey, these videos are real neat, cooking and games are some of my more favorite pass times. I would've thought that Nuka Quartz was supposed to be an analogue to sprite, not cream soda, but interesting choice on the cookbook. Not sure if tabletop is your scene, but have you considered looking into the Heroes Feast cookbook? It's a dungeons and dragons themed cookbook. Me and a couple of friends tried out some of the recipes ourselves when we hung out last, and they were pretty good
Finally got around to making my own Classic and Quantum, and here are my thoughts/suggestions. For the Classic; Browning Sauce. There are 2 products known as browning sauce, depending on where you live you might be familiar with both, or maybe only one, but let me explain: In North America and most of Europe, from what I can tell, "Browning Sauce" is a vegetable based coloring, thickener and flavoring used in gravies, soups and meat dishes to add deeper color and a savory taste. In the Caribbean and some parts of South America, "Browning Sauce/Browning Liquid" is an ingredient made out of caramelized brown sugar or molasses, and water, used to add color and a slightly sweet and smoky flavor to baked goods and glazes. Obviously, I'm pretty sure that one is more appropriate for making a soda than the other. The final product is very tasty, and IMO tastes kind of like Dr Pepper, but swapping the underlying cherry flavor for an underlying citrus flavor, which makes sense. The Nuka-Cola Float is legitimately one of the tastiest ice cream-based things I've ever had. For the Quantum; cut the Citric Acid. I only used half as much as directed, and it's still overpowering. If you've eaten or drank anything remotely sweet prior to tasting the Quantum (like the Classic...) all you're going to taste is the citric acid. On its own, Quantum has a very fruity taste that is very unique, and I actually kind of like it more than the Classic. But you're gonna need like, 20 drops of coloring in the syrup to get the right color.
Did you use specifically neon blue dye? Mines came out extremely blue with the 5 drops. Also I'm glad I'm not the only one who found the original recipe off putting. I drank it and it was really sour. I'll try cutting out the citric acid and see how it comes out.
@@RJLiams I think it needs at least a little bit, the flavors really seem to be geared towards that sour bite, but just a sprinkle would probably do it.
@@Connor_Tyler But that's what the lime and lemon are for. The zest and juice of 1 whole lime and lemon would add plenty of sour flavor without overpowering it.
@@Connor_Tyler So I remade it with your advice, and you're right. The citric acid is needed. I would say 1/4 of a teaspoon is a good base, and then add from there to taste. For me, half a teaspoon was enough.
My wife and I made these drinks a few years ago, and we used a different blue I think, because our Quantum came out really light blue. It was also our favorite too. It was good in a float also.
I’ve always wanted Bethesda and coke to do a promotion for a new fallout game and make some nuka cola/coca cola bottles. Like I wouldn’t even mind if they had nuka cola on one side and Coca Cola on the other. I’d just love to have it
That 17 fruit essences is just marketing lies. You know... To make it more hype than it's competitor Sunset Sarsaparilla. Sarsaparilla in theory is more healthier than a Cola, so they advertise more (essences) fruit in ingredient to make it sounds healthy. It may contain the fruit essences, but in minuscule scale I guess.
Tip: for a better and more authentic taste you should add radiation
You are joking, but there is some radioactive material in american toothpaste. So you COULD add some toothpaste to it to make it more authentic (or just add the radioactive juices)

I cannot wait for you to become more popular!!!! As a foodie and a gamer your vids are a godsend!
For the quantum you can really add as much fruit punch as you want. I also recommend adding the food dye when you prepare the drink.
When I made it myself, I left out the citric acid since I found it to become waaaay to sour, it already has the sour fruit in it
That Fallout 76 roast was just the cherry on top of the Nuka Float.
Great vid man! I got the book and am defenitely going to try these out now.
Enjoy the cookbook! I think you're gonna like a lot of the recipes in there
For the people at home watching this:
Instead of adding water, then ice and then the syrup, add ice first, then the syrup, and then the seltzer water. This way, you can control how much dilution you need without overfilling your cup, or using more syrup
Ya know, the uranium-235 really draws out the flavor.
Two things.
One, the Book Nuka Cherry could probably be a brighter red if you left out the browning sauce when making normal Nuka Cola syrup.
Two, 76 is pretty good now. Bethesda really turned things around.
Do so for the quantum as well. and use something like what Gatorade uses for coloring.
At this point mocking fallout 76 is just a meme I mean fallout 76 is just meme but that’s neither here nor there
76 is not good stfu
I love this channel! I hope more games make cookbooks in the future!
I hope so too! Already got my eye on a couple of new ones
ya know i doubt they ever will but i hope they make another one of these with recipes from 76 as there is some food and drinks in that game that would be really cool to make IRL though hopefully they leave nukashine out of it as i dont want to black out and wake up somewhere else
Drink Nukashine and one of two things will happen...
You will black out and stay that way.
You will black out and wake up in/think you're in a world far into the future where there was some kind of nuclear war.
Pepperoni rolls are a real thing in WV and V area. They're good if they're made the way they do up there.
76 is trash
@@JohnSmith-hs3po congratulations you missed the entire point of my comment
@@exilestudios9546 oh I get the point of your comment fine well. 76 however, is still trash.
The fallout 4 nuka rocket bottle is *absolutely perfect*
I might actually get this cookbook just to make these sodas.
I've always been fascinated about foods and beverages in video games but I didn't realize these things are actually going to be edible
i'm subscribing this channel right now
As a cola afficionado, I'm glad I found this vid.
I'm gonna try and see if I can make my own cola from here.
Also buying the cookbook for my flatmate, who's a big fallout fan.
Can't wait for someone to find this on a holotape in 200 years! They'll be rich!
Ah,a fellow Fallout cookbook owner. Great job!
just came over your channel and subscribed for your doing an outstanding job in these presentations.
i would love to see much more from the Fallout & Skyrim universe as they are close to my heart.
but in General i Would love to see much more foods from all the various games around wich is liked by us gamers.
this was fun!
Thanks and I'm glad you enjoyed the videos!
Outrageous! Sweet ! I play FO4 everyday over and over I restart usually around level 30-35 ish. After it gets easy with kick ass weooons and X-01 IX power armor. And all my settlements are fortified.
I love going to Nuka world and far harbor.
I just decided to replay so many times… I used to always jam Skyrim- both kick ass. FO4 just won me over over the years.
Cool video man!
i like how at the end he added the nuka cherry ( book recipe) to the float and was like "this is a great idea." then nodded like "definitely the best idea"
Me and a couple of friends tried out some of the recipes ourselves when we hung out last, and they were pretty good
I've never played D&D but I've been told the cookbook is good so I might check it out eventually. Also hoping to try D&D one day!
This is so cool. It's nice seeing you get bigger and bigger each day! Please do desserts next, I wonder if it has sugar bombs lol
Sunset Sarsaparilla 🎉 will you give it a try?
@@Connor_Tyler
But that's what the lime and lemon are for. The zest and juice of 1 whole lime and lemon would add plenty of sour flavor without overpowering it.
@@Connor_Tyler
So I remade it with your advice, and you're right.
Sounds great! I should have turned my Quantum to a float too
I would actually drink these recipes they look pretty good
Yeah for homemade sodas they're not too shabby 👍
@@MisoHungrie Thanks for your opinion! I also think I will also get the fallout cook book and try some of the recipes in their too. Thanks!
You know I’ve never imagined nuka cola quantum as sour but I could definitely see it.
The ice cream laziness was so valid.
I've played fallout since 3 and I never thought about what flavor quartz was until now. It makes sense to be a vanilla color and flavor.
The next time i invite my friends over im gonna try and make some of these
Good luck! Hope y'all enjoy
I’ve always wanted Bethesda and coke to do a promotion for a new fallout game and make some nuka cola/coca cola bottles. Like I wouldn’t even mind if they had nuka cola on one side and Coca Cola on the other. I’d just love to have it
That would be awesome! They did a promo with Jones soda before and I wish I was able to grab some
and sealed with nuka cola bottle caps!
Try serving it in a glass that has one of those light-up bottoms for the glow effect. then it will look more radioactive!!!
That's a cool idea! I gotta get me some of those
@@MisoHungrie you can maybe make one for cheap.
Today's reason the internet exists.
For the Nuka Cherry you could’ve made a second batch of Nuka Cola syrup without browning sauce so it kept the red color
Yeah I wish I did lol 😅
a lot of the ingredients in regular Nuka-Cola are also used in most cola flavored soft drinks. Minus the vanilla.
0:20 Juggernog be like: *am i a joke to you*
ONE of gamings most famous beverages
Who wants coke to make some limited edition nuka cola flavors for the new tv show
Now I can become a Nuka-tender.
Now they just need to do the recipes for Orange, Twist, Wild, Dark and Cranberry.
Don't forget about Nuka-Cola Freedom
I love the look of the quartz, it’s so creamy looking .
That makes a lot of sense. I wish I had a nice cold bottle of Sunset Sarsaparilla now
Sunset sarssaparilla when 🧐
I'm waiting for him to start making the Vim Recipes.
These are all slightly better with a bit of radiation.
Yeah the cherry I already knew you where missing some acids, totally reccomend adding some lemon juice to the mix to reduce the sweetness.
That's a good idea! Thanks for the tip
huh, that's an interesting way to cook, I normally just sit at a log and stir an empty pot for a while while floating words make some selections
THREE CUPS of sugar?????
Yeah, soda is pretty sugary🪑
You also only drink a small amount because you put it in the soda water
In the games atleast fallout nuka cola is canonically very unhealthy
120% RDA of sugar, according to fallout wiki entry.
Nuka cola has less sugar than coke
