Jesus Christ the npc cars are annoying.. me casually driving straight road with tractor + trailer, npc car rushes in the intersection with road rage speeds and rams me out of the road, because ofc the npc cars are immovable objects :D
@kimmokissa 😀yes, it happens to me too :D they stop with the front part in the intersection and push you with the nose away :D like some GIANT missile :D
@@SimUKReviews I think the gps is a good addition although very half arsed like there’s no custom ab lines or curves and the headland lines are awkward at best.
I agree, especially for console players. However, the AI are all over the place, worst I have ever seen & TBH if on PC there are much better mods (which I think you alluded to also?)
But they would need to make it better now they can just sit back and watch these modes make no profits in some cases a little and they are the actual core of this game, they should be getting payed for there mods they make
what really bugs me the most is that they still stick with the same angles for terrain. take the potato planting for example. 2 angles. its ridiculous. I mean, its not that hard to implement more ground angles. why do they stick with so few?
That has been annoying me for years. I don't know why they even include potatoes if they can't make the rows look right. Multi terrain angles have been around since 2011 in modded maps. I think they just rely on maps running north to south with square fields at right angles to each other.. A map has to be very good for me to play it without more terrain angles added.
@@mantrafiscus Yeah exactly. Same here, I am very picky when it comes to maps in FS, if theyre not including MT angle then its a no for me. Ruins the immersion when my plough furrows is not going the directiion im going
The youtubers are not getting the game better they are tbh just looking forward to get involved with events bought by Giants to get invited to I think most of them dont care a lot everything is so damn good its sad really sad I am about to make videos as the Crirical farmer I will point to all the bad ,with the FS25 for now I leave with YOU CAN STILL NOT USE OR CUT ALL TREES IN FS25 is that realistic?

The Asian map, while having some minor similarities, isn't even close to japanese . It's a generic representation of the east Asian stereotype, and a bad one at that.
Yop! this is called a MVP Minimum Viable Product. The rest does the marketing. If some one could explain me how can it be posible that in 3 years of dev time they could not make the AI to do bailing? Modder will do it in 6 months 3-4th times in a row. I bought all FSs with pre order, next time i will vote with my money, and buy it on a discount. Their attitude is unacceptable!
@@NewKiwiJK agreed , I'm on ps5 and the draw distance is atrocious, half the fields not even rendering...fs22 is way better atm....still gonna play 25 but damn..
Same here. 25 is a bit more visually appealing, but otherwise disappointing. Riverbend Springs, IMHO, is cartoonish, and a case study in poor urban planning. It's as though the map designer went out of his/her way to make it is as difficult as possible to travel from any point A to any other point B. The list of complaints goes on...
@@ceterisparibus51 You maybe should know, it's the most accurate map they have made based on a real location. I grew up in that area of Arkansas/Missouri, and it's very much like being there. The map designer did a great job of making it like the real place. Small tight roads, cliffs and riverbanks...yeah. It's very accurate to the real place. Are you saying they shouldn't have made it accurate to the place it's supposed to be? Now, maybe that makes for a bad game experience, but that's not the statement you're making. Yeah, farming there is a challenge, but that is just how it is in real life too.
When there is no competition, there is no real push for invasion. It's a game of what's the least we can give them (playerbase), and the most we can charge them for it. The shader issue is an issue that they should have known about. Do they not test their game on the most used hardware components gamers are using. In all honesty, they should have just stayed updating fs22 but added more things to it. Like new crops, vehicle physics, animal interaction, etc. In my personal opinion they need to do two things. Go to the community and have a written (not tick box) questionnaire on what you want to be added. Secondly, they should ask the community what mods would enhance the game and look to help/encourage and/or implement them into the game. Even if that means outsourcing the manpower beyond their own company like even the original modders themselves. Have a good dialogue with them, so mod development for most download and used mods can be included on launch. One of my biggest gripes is with painting and terraforming. You can have a square, but you can't rotate it by degrees of, say, 5. If your field isn't directly 90 degrees compared to the map, then the square tool is useless for fields. Prebought the game played about 5 hrs just exploring the few changes and now I'm leaving it until the moders are fully in the swing of things. Currently, there are better graphics, more gameplay, and content in 22. So generally, there is no point in the game right now.
Perhaps it should have been expressed as all educated nations drive on the left? Think back to swords and boards on horses - your shield goes on your combat offside to protect against footmen or attack from the road verge, while your weapon goes on the side towards the enemy.
Things I don't agree with: 4:46 What? FS 25 has the most machinery at release compared to any of its predecessors. Am I missing something? 7:00 What exactly is pathetic about it? It does pretty much what you want it to do: deform the ground. 7:05 Useless? Maybe you're not setting them up properly according to their capabilities. 7:20 Bro, a cheap and easy addition is still... well, an addition. I'm happy with all the additions I can get. 10:00 PEGI 3, my friend. Don't get me wrong though; I agree with all the other points of criticism you bring up, but the negative tone of this video puts me off. Giants are (sadly) the only ones creating anything even close to a farming simulator, which I’ll always be grateful for -as well for allowing the arise of the modding community that has grown alongside the franchise. I’ll happily buy this game in a year or so when a good deal shows up. By then, all my favourite realism mods should be available. You have to accept that many Farming Simulator players (I’d even think more than 50%) don’t want a super-realistic simulator, and Giants knows this. This is why the game -sad as it is- feels like something between an arcade game and a simulator rather than a true simulator. I accepted this long ago, but I also recognize that FS would never have grown as big as it is now if it weren’t for this approach.
4:46 yes, basic vehicles that make the game playable such as the conveyor belt that can pick up carrots and other crops from the ground 7:00 doesn't work in multiplayer, doesn't stay after saving, doesn't stay after a while and it only moves the vertices up or down. You're never "in the mud", the tire is only always in a deep ridge 7:20 an addition worthy of the price increase? no 10:00 so was FS09 and it had crash sounds, however it's more on the manufacturers who pay for the development of the game and perhaps don't want anything even close to their tractor crashing PS: I agree with your take on FS and Giants. As for the negative tone of the video, perhaps its is, but in my opinion, this view is also needed as usually FS community shuns anyone who dares to criticise the game even slightly and this may be the stronger pushback until it levels out.
Yea basic vehicles are significantly less than fs22. I added them up in the base game and this is what I came up with. First number will be available vehicles in fs22, and second number will be available in fs25 Tractors: 71, 47 Grain harvesters: 14, 11 Plows/cultivators etc 44, 35 Trailers excluding logging and flatbeds 26, 19
I think GIANTS spent more time worrying about their bought and paid for influencers rather than developing a new game. When influencers like MrSealyP delete comments that they don't agree with, it's a sad state of affairs. To give up credibility so that you don't affect your partner status with GIANTS is a shame.
@@SooHooSamaSito MSP doesn't read or manage his comments he has an admin team for that. I found this out when confronting him about the hate comments being allowed towards modders in DMs on Facebook.

Was talking to a coworker today about FS25. I was starting to talk about the things they've added since I first got into the franchise with FS19 and it dawned on me that pretty much every "new feature" was just a mod from a previous title in the franchise. I found myself frustrated with the AI more often than not. A lot of things are not even remotely intuitive. Simple things, like getting rid of the trees on the farm in Riverbend, are just pure headache. I genuinely thought things like this would have been fixed, or at least not be as bad as they were in earlier titles, but it feels like some of them are worse.
It's funny because getting rid of trees that are in the way are hilariously easy because they don't do the hitbox collision correctly on them now. So you can cut the trees with a chainsaw into small enough pieces to pick them up by hand, and then literally crouch down and drop them under the map through the floor. It's so disappointing that certain parts of this engine are still so janky after all these years.
OMG, exactly what I’ve been screaming,, I’m sick of hearing privilege UA-camrs, who have been given this game, and much more, talk complete bull, trying to sell this Rubbish, One of them, who was playing on PS5, proving to his victims how bad the graphics is, but still trying to make it sound good, has now suddenly been given a PS5+, strange, trying to make it look better for Giants,, GTA5 is 10+ years old, that’s a game, not a sim, and all graphics, details, NPC’s/vehicles interactions look real, rain, snow, wind, fog, mist, trees, grass, flowers and illegal crops, as well as map size, and deformation, runs circles around FS25. I feel we have been robbed, and I’m utterly disgusted, Giants have gave us nothing, other than a bad attempt, to what modders had already given us, why do modders have to make this game worth the value that giants get all the profits for,,, I suggest that giants, don’t bother trying to launch another one in 2029, but spend the next 8 years improving this one, and make it worth the price tag..
I think the graphics and detail in this FS25 game look great but it needs improvements. But I don’t like the animation in this FS25 game when your harvesting corn with the John Deere header as the header is cutting the corn stalks the corn stalks just disappear instead of the corn stalks first being pulled into the header before there gone. I think FS22 does this animation better.
I think 19 /22 combined would make a great game. I loved 19... from 15 and 17 was great in the day but horses? The ability to strap down your vehicles.... nice. I live where tornados are tornados are real. So needing this from an European game is a bit lime flipping the bird. So good luck Giants.
You know that sealyp did a stream showing glitches he found and others that people were saying on the chat and recreating most of them. Also there is usually bugs in most games on release day coz they can just update them later on. It sure wasn't like that on the ps1. I miss those days.
Finally someone dares to say that. Seeing every UA-camr praising this game, i really started to question myself. I am simply disapointed of what this game is and i could not agree more with what you said in the video. One sidenote though: A lot of tractors in real life (at least the ones i have driven) do not automatically return the blinker.
Most brilliant and honest review about FS25 to date - literally the focus on accountability absolutely warrants more attention. Calling out the grifting simps who are in the magic Giants circle of content creators have the Kool-aid stains on their mouth is Karma. Their token to deleting comments stating facts they don't like or goes against their opinion just doubles down on the collective attitudes to the existing player base. Stop stealing mods and implementing them in the next release, stop playing eye-candy games like how a keychain rattled in front of an infant and instead develop REAL features that enhance gameplay. Listening to a grown person gush and simp on their Giant-partner channel over the graphics changes while ignoring the constant sky flickering and obvious discrepancies is testament to the 'sold my soul' contract they made.
100% the way the content creators were marched out of the gate with BS early access and not an honest word - do they think we can't tell the difference?
Finally, someone who actually speaks sense. I've been banging on about this sort of thing for years. As far as I am concerned the game is unplayable until both autodrive and courseplay come out at a minimum.
Best sim reviewer there is, thank you for the honesty and pointing out the blatent shills that have been running defense for this game, it so obvious to see.
This rings true and needs way more views. Finally an honest review out there. From what I've seen(wont be buying FS25 for $50, EVER!) the AI has been improved from previous versions. Other than that, These were all good points.
Now that I've watched the review in full, I couldn't agree more. Cattle and Crops started out as a decent competitor, but sadly it seems to be abandoned. If the game delivered on 50% of what it looks like in the trailer I'd be able to live with it, but it doesn't even come close to 10% The horrible 'saving' (aka loading) when I go to the map/menu, the ridiculous render circle, badly stolen mods... Why would anyone buy this game? The real and only hero's in this game are the modders, they have my respect and admiration 100%, but Giants can kiss my...
@@SimUKReviews The devs of C&C ran out of money. I played C&C a lot in early Acess and after release. It had some very good ideas, but as someone who sat over 1000h on different tractors in real life, I can tell you the physics behind the entire drivetrain was a real mess. The modders had no chance to fix this, because scripting wasn`t possible. I was quite buisy in the german forum, but the devs never answered my questions. FS25 is a good foundation for modders with a lot of possibilities. That`s how I see the game at this point.

More fundamentally, in my view: Why doesn't annual rainfall impact crop yields? The logic for this feature is fairly simple (although implementation might be a bit trickier). As a new player of this franchise, which iteration of Farming Simulator would you suggest for a new player? I played a little bit of 15 and 22, but it's been a while now.
Totally agree, just found your channel and subscribed, I tried saying this to sealyp in one of his streams he would not have it, as you say we will buy it we will play it and wait for the modders to make it into a good game, Gients have a good business model rebadge FS22 as FS25 with all the best mods then wait for the modders to keep inproving it while they make the money.
A fair review. I'd give it a 6/10 on Series X, but that's largely down to a complete lack of any optimization which has once again resulted in poor performance and some pretty awful draw/render distances (crops, snow etc etc). I don't buy digital any more due to the general launch state of today's games in our wonderful 'no refunds' environment, so I'm safe in the knowledge that I can sell on a bad game and recoup some of my outlay....with the compromise for my loss being that developers will receive no income whatsoever from my resale and any subsequent resale thereafter. Farming Sim 25 being no exception to that rule....
Thank you for this review.. its fantastically honest! None of these new features weren't innovated by modders, this is simply LAZY.. After 15years of development why is there no BASICS OF FARMING?? • water (too much or too little) effecting the crop. Leading to - irrigation methods like: flood irrigation, centre pivot, lineal, lateral sprinklers etc. - drought and flood or even flash flood • Ag Contractors who I can get different prices off to come to my farm and do certain work, like real life. • different skilled workers and skill learning with different/negotiable wages (paid weekly rather than seeing the $ drain every second) • detailed PH levels required in soil for different crops, pastures etc.. and recommended lime/ fertiliser applications to achieve levels.. • realistic animal farming?? How hard could it be to have different types of milking sheds loke herringbone, walk through, rotary dairy or even auto robotic where cows need to be walked from a paddock, down a laneway to the dairy for milking daily.. (twice daily in real life but i can see how that wouldnt work in a game) abilty to build laneways, underpasses, Its good you can build different size paddocks, but the grazing should stip the grass daily and paddock rotation required to allow grass to grow again.
Hit the nail on the head and pretty much why I will wait until it's in the Steam bargain bin before buying, I'll keep playing my FS22 with hundreds of vehicles and mods that improve many aspects of gameplay. Have often wondered why more can't be done with the animals, such as the horse for example. Have draught horses that you can then use to work the fields for those who love to play farm sim old school. Have cows that you have to actually put into their milking stalls etc and yes have bulls, stallions etc! And as for the new tornadoes, they could have done so much more with them. Have tornado sirens or EAS announcements on the radio and it actually damaging buildings and vehicles and you then having to repair damage etc.

You're right at the end. Probably will end up buying it, but much like 22, I'll wait at least a year until there's been more updates, and good mods have been released for it.
Totally agree. I have been very disappointed in the lack of actual value in updates. I will say that if you were referring to “blinkers” as we call them in the US, those do not automatically turn off with commercial vehicles like semis. This is so that the driver must wait until the trailer is aligned straight before stopping the turn signal. If we could pick main let downs they would be: -base maps. They stink, plain and simple. Asia has some neat features but overall it’s just barely playable. I’ve found the others a waste of time. -equipment. All these things and yet it seems that there is a poor selection to farm with. It’s it not cutting edge at all. -animals. The baby animals are near but yes, you can’t interact at all. Let us pick up a goat or chicken and put them in the truck. And horses, they didn’t improve AT ALL. And are still worthless to have. My daughter won’t play because she is disappointed in the total dismissal of horses and my son won’t play because the maps and equipment are boring. I can tell you that unless some of these things are not improved, this will be the last farm sim we ever buy.
My game crashes when it hails and if i leave a swath behind in the combine and when i cut grass, dry or window if i can actually get that far. The game cant handle all those materials on the floor. This is on riverbend springs. Ps5. Field 77 is causing issues on that map. Contacts impossible to complete.
To be honest, I don’t usually comment or like videos on UA-cam, but I felt the need to do it this time. Sir, your video seemed like an honest review to me. I first played FS in 19, then jumped to 22 and my thoughts were almost the same than yours. When FS25 was announced, I reserved it, but few days before release, I cancelled it because I had that feeling that it would be the same again. Now, some weeks after release, I looked for reviews to see what was the general feeling about the new game. Of course, what I suspected has been confirmed, so I won’t be buying FS25. I will probably stick to 22, even though I wasn’t playing so much lately, but I’m not gonna gift my money for a copy-pasted product with just a couple improvements. Keep it up with the good work!
You said that the game doesnt have gears, but it does have gears.. Only it is set on automatic by default. But you can change this by your self. But you are right with animal husbandry. They could do better on that. Pastures are also available in FS25.. That one of the new features.
I should have explained better. The gears mod in FS15 was considerably better & more realistic than Giants gear implementation. Whack it in highest gear, put something heavy on the back, and drive up a steep hill....the gears are not required.
I have clutch and H shifter ... and FS is not one of those games in which you could set those two up .. and enjoy using them. flashing text on screen .. is not clutch ... There is better gearbox and clutch simulation in "GT LEGENDS" from TWENTY YEARS AGO + ffb, idk about 25, but on FS22 Thrustmaster T300 there was absolutly 0 force feedback. and ffb is like one problem out of 100 i now have with FS. played since fs13 ... religiously ... to end up hating this stagnation fest.
The problem is the put out a broken game. Fs22 had less than half of the problems this one does. I have only played like a hour of it because of the problems.
First review I have seen that didn’t off the bat seem paid and seems genuine. I only got into fs earlier this year and started following youtubers checking out playthroughs and such….you are literally the FIRST ONE I have seen give a seemingly legitimate and not bullshit review. Def got a new subscriber and I thank you!! A lot of other creators really lost some credibility with me after fs25 release and seeing the discrepancies between the players and youtubers…smh
I've got say I'm loving this game, i don't really care about the odd imperfection. Its a lot of fun and one the best simulator games I've ever played. I can't say how it compares to FS22 as i only played FS19. The graphics when it comes to the vehicles and machinery i think is excellent. There's definitely lots of positives about this game.
@@vespadoeliseu we're not stupid, of course it's the same concept and basic game with most things working in the same way. I feel there's more than enough improvements/new features to justify a new game. For me it's well worth the £50, especially coming from FS19 and the enjoyment I'm getting from it. People have different expectations I guess, fair enough.
Yeah, this. I’ve been lucky with few bugs or glitches. The game is a good improvement on FS22, but there is a lot of issues that carried over from that game. AI is still frustrating, though vastly improved. They still get hung up on things, especially traffic, and I’ve found they will take impassable routes and get stuck a lot. I’ve had my tractor drove into the river twice. Lately they will just bug out and stop working, and I have to reset them. They’re also really inefficient. Backing up across the field to start a new track, stopping a track midway through to start another. Animals are woefully underdeveloped. Contracts are buggy - lots of them will use incorrect equipment. I have some bug out and won’t complete, so I end up loosing a lot of money to cancel it. Twisters and hail were cool but I turned it off after the first one. Trees are annoying, I try my best not to mess with them, also terrain formation. GPS is great but it does occasionally not work. Productions are underdeveloped too, and a lot of them aren’t even worth the effort. Conversations are useless and sometimes glitch out and hijack my interact key, needing a game restart to fix. Overall, though, I am happy with the game for what it is, as I get what I want out of it, and I think it will get a lot better. But it is disappointing that there’s these issues still not fixed from the previous games. It just feels like they could’ve done better. I don’t see anything here that is so daunting or ambitious to do. It’s like with Mojang and Minecraft releasing the most boring, uninspired updates to a game that is so easy to mod and upgrade, children can do it. It’s a joke that professional game makers couldn’t make the game so much better than what we get.
Why? Because you did not buy cattle and crops. People stick to FS. The problem is no indie studio can buy the brands to get started. The majority of players want to play with brands.
as i agree my friend in everything you said. My frineds and believed that it was better NOT to create FS 25, but to do a big update in FS 22 and brings all this "futures" of 25 came as DLC for 22. FS 25 was a crap creation just they copy paste 22 and re-sale as 25. ❤❤ P.S. i will share this to the rest of the world he he :)
Best review so far. 100% agree with all the fake reviewers looking at this like they were dropped into it straight from the 90s and everything looks amazing. Game is a Joke and yet I have 100h in it already. Giants are sitting on gold and they know it. I really hope some developer will notice it and come up with a proper farming sim game.
Thankyou for this honest review, its the first FS game ive looked at in a few years and thought i would revisit it. I had watched videos by who I now know to be Giants bought reviewers and glad i came across your review, i will not be buying this game. But you've earned yourself a like and a new subscriber moving forward. 👍
fs 25 I tried red beet harvesting with the biggest harvester i could buy and found had no crop hopper and you had to follow the worker while harvesting and the unloader would not fit over the large trailer sides. it was an absolute knight mare to control. i had a better result with the smaller beet harvester with its own hopper ???????? WHY
Spintires showed off their mud ... A DECADE AGO and further on ... Franchise showed how a franchise could evolve into Snowrunner ... unlike Giants stagnationfest.
While you aren’t wrong I’m somewhat confused in what you were expecting. Giants is, if nothing else consistent. It’s never had the level of polish you seem to be expecting. Again, your points are valid but it’s a bit ridiculous to think it was going to be a polished master piece like a AAA title. At no point has Giants demonstrated they are capable of that. They make small improvements and rely heavily on modders and the community to guide the direction of the game. That’s the model they use and really how you should see the game. Otherwise you just going to be salty because, for better or worse you have unrealistic expectations.
Modders have relentlessly made mods to boost realism. Each version moves away from realism. Modders are giving up. The game is dying. Best fs game right now??? Fs19.
Spot on in every respect. Would be great if they could, I don't know, maybe continually improve the performance of the game while also adding in more "Farming Simulator" elements.
The vast majority of American Tractor Trailers do not have self cancelling signals. Any truck driver can tell you that. I'm not sure about farming equipment. But I have never driven a rig with self cancelling indicators. Just a fyi.
2:34 ahaha funny joke dude, most of the countries who drive on the left measure distances in body part (instead of using the civilized metric system), so ofc civilized people drive on the right. And it's not a "pain au chocolat" but a "chocolatine".
@@SimUKReviews lol I ain't surprised : u f* around , you found out XD On a more serious tone, IMHO the biggest issue with giants is they tried to byte more than they could chew (or tried to fart higher than their a** as we say in France) by trying to develop their own game engine. The result is their graphic engine is about 10 years behind the industry leaders (unity and unreal) and their physic engine... ...I can't even give a delay... 'Cause i can't think of one physic engine which allows logs to levitate in a simulation (at least not in its released state (maybe in beta ?))... ANd yeah i personnaly experienced "levitating" logs in fs22 platinum expansion with no mods (so 100% on Giant's)
Unfortunately you've hit the nail so hard on the head that it could now be used as a wing on a light aircraft. Giants and their content creator puppets are the epitome of the access journalism epidemic we are now in. Giants drop the shit and the "influencers" feed it to the masses. The game, at a basic level, is worse than any that have gone before. Nothing but gimmicks and smoke & mirror crap. I hate to say it, but once a game goes cross platform it usually takes a turn for the worse, and that blame lies at the feet of Microsoft and their shitty Xbox S console. Thank you for the honest review.
"Respectfully" where we part ways is from your comment regarding which side of the road one in a civilized society should drive on. That was rich. 😅 But aside from that sarcasm I wholeheartedly agree, and say you are spot on mate here mate.
Would have loved to see more immersive features such as doing things by hand instead of magic. Aka trays on trucks and cars, fueling vehicles, hand planting, not just teleporting into a vehicle etc etc. last one is a simple animation!
I am enjoying it so far, but there should be a MASSIVE WARNING for the constant screen flashes. If you are remotely susceptible to these blinding flashes across your screen please do not play it. The woodcutting is still poor, logs now routinely dance in a circle for no reason, the cursed wood that is American Elm has changed, it's more manageable now, but hardly realistic.
Very well said, all my same thoughts. And MY biggest complaint has been, why did they destroy the driving physics in FS 17!!? our vehicles behave like blocks of wood on a string pulled over gravel! And why, WHY, in FS 19 did they decide the "AI" cars should now stop next to you instead continuing on past you!!? And they have decided to continue this horrible, stupidity in FS 25. In my opinion, as far as looks, comparing 13-25 all they have done is sharpen the graphics to look more HD cartoonish. Is no one else annoyed or even noticed these three things? The squeaky wheel gets the grease.
You guys want to see something wild? Check out the shadow movement on the ground from each version from FS19 to FS25. FS19 was almost buttery smooth. FS22 was bad, and FS25 the shadows don’t move for 10 minutes. Check it out.
No improvement since they brought forestry FS15. I expected more simulation, the SOIL in the fields WHEN WORKED do not follow the travel of direction of the tools being used, regarding the ground deformation which I expected to be fully implemented, by this stage of all theses years of development. (Real farm had that feature I reviewed it on youtube 7 years ago!!! ) By now I expected to be able to : 1.dig holes, drainage. Wells etc. 2. Be able to pump and manage water. 3. Be able to have seed and things delivered by the 'shop' 4. Have PERMANENT wheel ruts, tyre marks ,that become part of the 3D ground model and texture map. 5. Why does it get light in STEPS in FS25. 6. Literaly ZERO improvement on the forestry aspect, its even hard (still) to pick things up. 7. Objects are so hard and obtuse to manipulate, including the LOGGING. 8. Soil PHYSICS , where are they,??? xbox 360 had them in FROM DUST and REAL FARM also implimented soil Physics. 9. Why have we STILL after YEARS got a small, very small visible detail 'bubble' around us ??? The computers and consoles are a 100 or more times BETTER than even FS15 but the graphics and PHYSICS are exactly as they always were, save a resolution difference we now have. Its the SAME in game engine in all respects including clunky VERY CLUNKY VERY AWKWARD PHYSICS. £70+ !!!! YOU GOTTA BE JOKING GIANTS, You are as LAZY and GREEDY as DOVETAIL who release the same game EVERY year. The only saving grace is you at giants sit on your backsides for 3 years between very lazy releases, having implimented the MODS people made for free for you. EG 'SEASONS' for FS 17. 10. GIANTS SOFWAREARE LAZY and GREEDY 11. Giants sofware are lazy and greedy. 12. I know I repeated myself, but that part is so important its worth saying twice ( or more)
@@SimUKReviews that's what i am hoping too; they'd easily become a key part of agricultural colleges and universities across the world. Perhaps they could become an agricultural research simulation as well as just a game. With just a few slight graphic updates, the 2017 C&C game could be far superior to FS25.
Agreed....Their project manager isn't good at getting them to move on when something isn't 100% perfect (paralysis by analysis - a well known developer problem).
I agree with your points FS25 is probably the worst 3 year development cycle for the game Tornados is a very local thing so to spend time on that is just crazy.Animals still not good and whithout Male animals is just wTF. The game just cant survive on its own Modders are still what gets the game playable.Giants should look at the best modders and hire them to do the things they cant do on there own.Anyway if they are lokking do do something good they should atleast fix and boost the Giants engine so we can have the modders do the stuff they want to do.I could do a video about more things but whats the point?Thank you for being honest and put the time in for this I salute your effort.
Hi , hope you are well Sir. Thank you for being so up front and brutally honest about this game or patch as you cleverly put it. For a while now I’ve been looking at various reviews over several different platforms and always been on the fence about whether to part with my hard earned or just leave it and continue on with FS 22 which isn’t perfect but a whole lot better and not broken like FS25 clearly is. It’s like a child’s discarded toy thrown in the toy box because it’s not exciting or interesting any more. Game companies are releasing games far too quickly onto the market these days unfinished and pinning hopes on a blind public having it on their must have list especially at the most vulnerable time which is before Christmas every year. Giants clearly have no shame doing this and promise to fix it with patches and yet more DLCs … yes I’m being very cynical but thanks to you Sir for telling exactly how it is. And not dressing it up with fluff and tinsel. 🙂👍🏻
25 seconds into the video and I already realized this video is going to show with visuals what I always have in mind when thinking about Giants' Farming Simulator series.
You’re spot on with your comments. I have had this option for a number of releases and it is just getting more and more obvious. If it wasn’t for the moders no one would touch this game. Sadly the mods are getting fewer, where are all the great maps from fs17. I for one will not be buying fs25 unless it is greatly reduced on a sale.
Straight forward approach for this review 😉 I never even bothered to buy this rendition, for many reasons that I will reserve from mentioning. Thanks for pointing out to others (myself included) just how much they are NOT missing. Your points to how GIANTS cares only for their bottom line numbers is spot on!!! In fact they had found it necessary to especially make a point that they sold over $2M in game copies as of release day!!! Good job there GIANTS for making that a top priority for yourself and to care NOT what the end users of your product actually want to see!! 👍
I think that super realism isn't for all the people. Most of the people would be confused by the complex mechanics which i think is already complex if you get deep in to it. Good examplenis precision farming. Which is complicated and not all the people want that complexity. I think it is good that this game has lot of mods and big modding comunity. You get base game and you can thransform it in the way you like. In the end, it is all about business and giants want to make money. Yes it is expensive. But look for other games prices and for example look at EA which every year sells the same creazy expensive game.
That's what I was thinking when he was talking about all the realism stuff. Can a ps5 or an Xbox series x run cyberpunk2077 with all the farming physics and new stuff and adding more and more bloat to the game how is a new person so post to learn how to play the game? Yes they are lacking in adding stuff but me personally the new stuff is plenty. I use a million mods anyways. The moder's keep this game alive just like dayz.I would be in the hate train if it wasn't full of other dog shit bo6 cof. cof.. Just to name 1
The ppl who like super realism download the realism mods yes not all of them are for console but can a console even run that?

Thanks for your review. You gave all the answers I've been wondering about with FS25. I'll stick with FS19 with mods (graphics are still mostly the same anyway, just running more poorly).
100% correct on almost all counts. Turn signals in tractors and semi trucks don't always auto cancel. Reason being, trucks often turn the opposite direction before making their turn, allowing them to turn wider, which would cancel the turn signal before they actually make their turn. Same with tractors. That being said, some straight trucks and some tractors do auto cancel. That's a VERY minor gripe and i honestly don't care at all about that. I don't have much to add to his review, it's honestly correct on all counts. The graphics improvements were 2 steps forward and 3 steps back with how poorly they did the upgrades. Ground deformation is done so poorly and unrealistic. I work on a farm as a second job, yeah, dirt doesn't work like that. The dirt mods from FS19 did more realistic representations. Still can't get "stuck" in the mud as you absolutely would if you were plowing in a downpour. As others have stated, until the mods come out to fix their game, i prefer my copy of FS19. I will give them ONE bit of credit. They did fix the game engine so that the game could run multithreaded. Welcome to 2024 Giants!!!!! You're almost 2 decades late to the party on that one!!!
Realistic soil physics should be the main focus IMO, just watched a video from a rice farm in Brazil, a huge tractor just got stuck in the mud. I think the guys making that game have never set foot in a farm. FS22 was my last one.
I’m new to FS, been playing FS22 for a couple of months. I fell into the trap and bought 25, only to find bugs like the pressure washer won’t spray water no matter what and that the absence of available mods that I’ve come to love are not yet available. Having listened to your review, I agree 100%. I play Derail Valley, a train simulator game that has been in development for some time. They sell it and provide ongoing and free updates. I have no doubts that there will be DLC at some point, but for now they ‘listen’ to users, take feedback and are developing a fine and very realistic simulator. I’ve canned FS25 and continuing to play 22 and won’t go back until all of the bugs are ironed out. Why isn’t there a map like No Man’s Land available in the base game for many people who want to establish their own farm from scratch? I guess it’s because “the modders will do it”. I think Giants may have well and truly began resting on their laurels at this point. Thanks for the review.
I really like 17, so far, other than new crops and awful graphics, I've seen nothing that makes me think it's worth buying a new version. Watching this video shows me no reasons to buy this game. Thank you for saving my money.
the criticisms are correct, but I'm still having tons of fun playing FS25. It's just amazing. game has been out for a week & I already have over 55hours in it. Ofc I've had tons of absolutely stupid bugs during those hours, and even contracts that are impossible to complete because the new "smarter" AI workers aren't really that smart. (avoid carrots)
I hate a liar, I have no time or patience for them, one thing I admire is an honest person, you fella just changed my mind on buying this, even cheaper with one of those keys, I subscribed and liked your video, and thank you for saving me cash. Cheers fella
Finally an honest review. I was so excited for this game as I really got hooked in fs22. I don’t understand how they can’t implant their own version of course play into the base game even for console. I understand on pc it uses “scripts” but while you work on a new game develop that or something very similar. To add on top of that, while the AI system in general got an overhaul the actual implementation is awful. The amount of unnecessary turns they take breaks the immersion. Fs22 wasn’t great but it didn’t look like this. How can AI workers not do every type of field work yet? That still blows my mind. These are the types of things that justify a new game. Lastly I have the best PC money can buy and the draw distance for buildings is unacceptable. Literally half the map disappears if you enter build mode and zoom out. I double checked this didn’t happen in FS 22 and it most certainly didn’t. Literally back up a bit and the entire town disappears not just becomes lower textures. Poor gone… move forward a little bit and it’s back. And the base maps are underwhelming. I didn’t think that about fs22 but they truly lack character. I quit the second day I played it.
@@SimUKReviews it certainly isn’t an upgrade from the previous engine. In fact I’d argue the graphics almost look worse overall. I feel like they did something with the color pallet to make it look more cartoonish. That aside, making a leap from one engine to the next I shouldn’t have to squint and really think if the graphics have improved to me that’s not a leap. Overall while I’m sure there could be a better engine out there… why can modders make very good use of the same engine giants can’t? That’s what makes me think the giants engine isn’t terrible but the ones using it are simply lazy.
Pretty interesting video, since I've been out of the loop since FS15 (last one I bought). While I'm enjoying FS25 for the most part, I can summarise my experience with one sentence - "I installed a mod so I can toggle the HUD on and off".
The biggest problem to this game is that its on a 20 year old game engine. Meant to be used for demolition company at the time. After the release of fs13 things were slowly taken out and replaced by new features as the engine was running red hot. 10 years later and we still on that same engine. If you asked me, i say its a real farming game. Milking the player base as fast as they can.
i'll buy it next summer on the steam summer sales. it's not a question about being able to afford it, more that it feels like a expansion pack to me so i will get it when it's around 35 ish. i mean when we got the premium expansion for 22 we got: New area. 3 new crops 35 new tracktors and tools. So not that far off and i think it was 30 when i got it , but now it's 20 ish.
What POSITIVES are there?:
AI cars are faster and overtake realistically (mostly) .. BUT they turn unrealistically.
Thank god for modders... Without them this game wouldn't be worth playing
100%
If it wasn’t for modders, this game would’ve died years ago
im NOT bagging modders BUT GIANTS should be the ones fixing their OWN stuff ups
@@scottpage81 If someone says "i used to work for giants and they said "dont fix that the modders will"" i would believe it
But they would need to make it better now they can just sit back and watch these modes make no profits in some cases a little and they are the actual core of this game, they should be getting payed for there mods they make
what really bugs me the most is that they still stick with the same angles for terrain. take the potato planting for example. 2 angles. its ridiculous.
Ruins the immersion when my plough furrows is not going the directiion im going

farmer cop review is an actual joke. like not even a review, just a shill piece.

There's no need to innovate when you can sell millions of copies of the same thing every couple of years. Edit: FS19 was the last version I bought
Unless your morals forbid such behaviour.
Yep. Sims 4 is another very similar example
EA ... Nuff said lol
Yop! this is called a MVP Minimum Viable Product.
Im staying on FS22. This is nonsense. Im used tp bethesda, but giants is so bad they make bethesda look flawless
You are right i did buy it i have played it and right now without the mods i much prefer fs22,what a sorry state of affairs
I went back to FS 22 as well cause it’s such a better game than FS 25 right now
@@chaserk2185 just gotta wait for mods and the next update it only just came out and its a new giants engine as well
@@NewKiwiJK agreed , I'm on ps5 and the draw distance is atrocious, half the fields not even rendering...fs22 is way better atm....still gonna play 25 but damn..
The only real production is milking, and we are the cows! Mooo! Agree with you! Except that all civilised nations drive on the right side! 😘
Well said! Glad someone caught that joke too 😉
Perhaps it should have been expressed as all educated nations drive on the left? Think back to swords and boards on horses - your shield goes on your combat offside to protect against footmen or attack from the road verge, while your weapon goes on the side towards the enemy.
Nail on the head chap! As always, a good honest review.
Thanks for being the guy to stand up and say what many others skirt around.
Much appreciated
Things I don't agree with:
4:46 What?
4:46 yes, basic vehicles that make the game playable such as the conveyor belt that can pick up carrots and other crops from the ground
7:00 doesn't work in multiplayer, doesn't stay after saving, doesn't stay after a while and it only moves the vertices up or down. You're never "in the mud", the tire is only always in a deep ridge
7:20 an addition worthy of the price increase? no
10:00 so was FS09 and it had crash sounds, however it's more on the manufacturers who pay for the development of the game and perhaps don't want anything even close to their tractor crashing
PS: I agree with your take on FS and Giants. As for the negative tone of the video, perhaps its is, but in my opinion, this view is also needed as usually FS community shuns anyone who dares to criticise the game even slightly and this may be the stronger pushback until it levels out.
then they should be setting the standard, not half arsing it! stealing mods and DLCS
bro 100 pieces are pallets/big bags/ weights....
Yea basic vehicles are significantly less than fs22. I added them up in the base game and this is what I came up with. First number will be available vehicles in fs22, and second number will be available in fs25
Tractors: 71, 47
Grain harvesters: 14, 11
Plows/cultivators etc 44, 35
Trailers excluding logging and flatbeds 26, 19
I didn’t bother adding up many more because navigating the new shop menus was a complete nightmare aswell 😂
@@MrFarquar That's even sadder. Lol. P.S., what qualifies as a hate comment?

Was talking to a coworker today about FS25. I was starting to talk about the things they've added since I first got into the franchise with FS19 and it dawned on me that pretty much every "new feature" was just a mod from a previous title in the franchise.
I found myself frustrated with the AI more often than not. A lot of things are not even remotely intuitive. Simple things, like getting rid of the trees on the farm in Riverbend, are just pure headache. I genuinely thought things like this would have been fixed, or at least not be as bad as they were in earlier titles, but it feels like some of them are worse.
I agree ive thought this myself but even when they add a mod as a basegame feature its never as good or just half finished
@@tev984well don't grab it then let go of the object whilst it's under the map lol.
It is telling that he won't tell us who donated his PS5 Pro. (cough giants cough).
It’s amazing what getting flown out to Case Hq, and playing around on tractors will get you,
I think 19 /22 combined would make a great game.
Pretty much exactly what I expected, lol
If it drops to like £10 on steam offer, then maybe!
CDkeys selling for about £48 for year one pass edition
Companies like this are why pirating exists.
Hey how do you get that annoying popup wanting you to buy......
I didn't mean that outloud!! 😅
Interesting. I'll take that under advisory. Thanks.
Yeah, theyre all sponsored. Ive never seen a compony with a grip this tight around 99% of content creators
Best Farming Simulator 25 review by far. Well done sir you gained a new subscriber for your honest review.

Yes I agree, prob the first thing I mentioned positive in my First look video was the AI.
Now that I've watched the review in full, I couldn't agree more.
Cattle and Crops started out as a decent competitor, but sadly it seems to be abandoned.
If the game delivered on 50% of what it looks like in the trailer I'd be able to live with it, but it doesn't even come close to 10%
The horrible 'saving' (aka loading) when I go to the map/menu, the ridiculous render circle, badly stolen mods...
Why would anyone buy this game?
The real and only hero's in this game are the modders, they have my respect and admiration 100%, but Giants can kiss my...
C&C just got stuck in a rutt.
Miss that game so much.

Turns out while I played FS13 and FARCRY 3 or Minecraft .. now ten years later I can still only DREAM ABOUT such animals in FS ... ffs
More fundamentally, in my view: Why doesn't annual rainfall impact crop yields? The logic for this feature is fairly simple (although implementation might be a bit trickier). I'd also like to see a bit more random variation in prices across various sell points. As it stands, there is typically very little incentive to not always sell at the train station. I could on...
I’ve been screaming this for years! I shouldn’t be able to have a prefect crop every year things like drought and bumper crops should have been implemented if I’m playing solo and only do corn and soybean then that should have and impact on the economy and make me not do just those same crops
There are so much simple stuff they refuse to implement. Its peak low effort
I wish Cattle and Crops didn't quit production on their game.
100% I offered to join as project manager, because I could see they had got themselves in a rutt.
Such a massive shame.
The best thing i think they could do is implement AI around the map that actually works their fields and has trucks and tractors driving around. I'd like to play the game but it feels so empty and lifeless.
Yes it would be great to see a neighbor working a field
Whoaa now.. While I do agree with most of what you said.. Ai workers are hands down amazing now... Even in the pre release game they were amazing. And the ground defamation is pretty damn good too.
I think everything is a massive improvement
Try building or converting a map on it and then you’ll discover the amount of things that have been removed on the sly
Since I have 0 faith in Giants ability to make proper, juicy, flushed out, indepth simulation .. of anything .. in another 100 years ... i am ready to sell my gaming soul to UBISOFT or EA to make a crack at farming genre ... will drink to Giants bankruptcy - long over due. And I play since fs13 .. used to love this. wait they revered the decision on the combine? i dont have it though :S
Same. It says I ha e it, but I don't see it in my list of mods.
Apparently it is a skin.....So not sure where that might be?
As a new player of this franchise, which iteration of Farming Simulator would you suggest for a new player? I played a little bit of 15 and 22, but it's been a while now.
My advice is to wait. For either a sale, or see how much the modding community can do with 25.
I'd get 25 if you are new, if so wait or get 22 or 17. Skip 19 at all costs.
22 has a great mod ecosystem, and it will take a year or two for 25 to catch up. 25 is longer lasting if 22 doesn't go for cheap.
Would you suggest 22 over 25?
@@justme_7145 the lack of optimization is due the then using the same engine since 2009 and just modding and splicing it as time goes on
im glad you mentioned the importance of sound in games. everyone talks graphics, but you are the first to mention sound.
When i started reviewing sims, I didn't fully respect the importance of audio, but without decent audio, immersion is impossible.
Thank you for this review.. its fantastically honest! None of these new features weren't innovated by modders, this is simply LAZY..
After 15years of development why is there no BASICS OF FARMING??
• water (too much or too little) effecting the crop. Leading to
- irrigation methods like: flood irrigation, centre pivot, lineal, lateral sprinklers etc.
- drought and flood or even flash flood
• Ag Contractors who I can get different prices off to come to my farm and do certain work, like real life.
• different skilled workers and skill learning with different/negotiable wages (paid weekly rather than seeing the $ drain every second)
• detailed PH levels required in soil for different crops, pastures etc.. and recommended lime/ fertiliser applications to achieve levels..
Some extremely good ideas, I would love to see them.
I saw better animals in Farcry and Minecraft and RDRD2 ... a DECADE AGO!!!!!!!!!
Its the modding community that keep the fs series going
I love farm sim 25 so much that it landed on the ignore list on steam.

Can’t disagree with anything you said. I feel very ripped off having paid for pre order, never again.

Non in particular, I've previously called out individuals but seemingly made no difference.
I watched a few creators with early access, not a single critique from any one of them about the game.

You're right at the end. Probably will end up buying it, but much like 22, I'll wait at least a year until there's been more updates, and good mods have been released for it.
I agree. Without mods, why leave 22?
@@SimUKReviews No reason to, and even then, how much will mods improve it when they've done so much for 22?
I can't really tell. How many times will modders want to rehash their same mods, just because the base game isn't good enough?
Totally agree. I have been very disappointed in the lack of actual value in updates.
I will say that if you were referring to “blinkers” as we call them in the US, those do not automatically turn off with commercial vehicles like semis. This is so that the driver must wait until the trailer is aligned straight before stopping the turn signal.
If we could pick main let downs they would be:
-base maps.
Thank you.
Thanks and welcome.
Always genuine and sadly never paid here :-)
I'm still playing fs19 because I anytime I try to download maps on fs22 they get stuck in a loop bug that giants is ignoring!
We are going back to 19 too.
Exactly this. I've had some absolutely stupid & broken bugs but I just can't stop playing this game.
@@rafbuelens4908 Well Giants thanks you guys and will continue to take your money for the same game they do every 3/4 years.
I love this game. Giants done a solid job with 25.
P.S. i will share this to the rest of the world he he :)

Glad I could help! & Welcome :-)

Amazing video! And you’re 100% correct!
Much appreciated! I liked your comment, so that should help a bit :-)
fs 25 I tried red beet harvesting with the biggest harvester i could buy and found had no crop hopper and you had to follow the worker while harvesting and the unloader would not fit over the large trailer sides. it was an absolute knight mare to control. i had a better result with the smaller beet harvester with its own hopper ???????? WHY
Spintires showed off their mud ... A DECADE AGO and further on ... Franchise showed how a franchise could evolve into Snowrunner ... unlike Giants stagnationfest.
It's nice to hear an honest review without shilling. Farmer Cop, I'm looking at you.
Fs19.
@@SimUKReviews What do you mean it's dying? They sold 2 million copies in their first week of sale
Spot on in every respect. Would be great if they could, I don't know, maybe continually improve the performance of the game while also adding in more "Farming Simulator" elements.
What a novel idea 💡 if only they would listen to you. 👍
😆 2nd or 3rd to spot it. 😆
@@SimUKReviews lol I ain't surprised : u f* around , you found out XD
On a more serious tone, IMHO the biggest issue with giants is they tried to byte more than they could chew (or tried to fart higher than their a** as we say in France) by trying to develop their own game engine.
😅 But aside from that sarcasm I wholeheartedly agree, and say you are spot on mate here mate.
lol Just a joke ;-)

Hope they don't cause seizures....?
Very well said, all my same thoughts. And MY biggest complaint
has been, why did they destroy the driving physics in FS 17!!? our
vehicles behave like blocks of wood on a string pulled over gravel!
And why, WHY, in FS 19 did they decide the "AI" cars should now
stop next to you instead continuing on past you!!? And they have
decided to continue this horrible, stupidity in FS 25. In my
opinion, as far as looks, comparing 13-25 all they have done is
sharpen the graphics to look more HD cartoonish. Is no one else
annoyed or even noticed these three things? The squeaky wheel
gets the grease.
You guys want to see something wild? Check out the shadow movement on the ground from each version from FS19 to FS25. FS19 was almost buttery smooth. FS22 was bad, and FS25 the shadows don’t move for 10 minutes. Check it out.
No need, I believe you intrinsically.
Give it a year when the key mods come out and the game will get better with time. I'm still playing on FS22 and I will pick up FS25 maybe next year
No improvement since they brought forestry FS15.
I expected more simulation, the SOIL in the fields WHEN WORKED do not follow the travel of direction of the tools being used, regarding the ground deformation which I expected to be fully implemented, by this stage of all theses years of development. (Real farm had that feature I reviewed it on youtube 7 years ago!!! )
By now I expected to be able to :
1.dig holes, drainage. Wells etc.
2. Be able to pump and manage water.
3. Be able to have seed and things delivered by the 'shop'
10. GIANTS SOFWAREARE LAZY and GREEDY
11. Giants sofware are lazy and greedy.
12. I know I repeated myself, but that part is so important its worth saying twice ( or more)
cattle and crops have a REAL opportunity to make a comeback here
Sadly they have closed development....hoping they change their minds.
@@SimUKReviews do you have a way of contacting them? an email address or anything? id like to reach out to them personally.

To me FS25 is just a bad update.
Thank you.
Thanks for speaking exactly what we all feel internally ! Spot On brother and thanks for being 100% honest !!!!
Thanks for the comment.
I always thought really Old tractors and Trucks might have that indicator limitation only; perhaps not?
Finally someone spoke about it .. I request please make a detailed video about this.
Cheers from Wisconsin
Nailed it my friend !!!
I really like 17, so far, other than new crops and awful graphics, I've seen nothing that makes me think it's worth buying a new version. Watching this video shows me no reasons to buy this game. Thank you for saving my money.
Funny enough we are about to return to 17.
And if you buy it from directly giant you cant optimise the game with my nvidia card i'm not getting too much fps
the criticisms are correct, but I'm still having tons of fun playing FS25. It's just amazing. game has been out for a week & I already have over 55hours in it. Ofc I've had tons of absolutely stupid bugs during those hours, and even contracts that are impossible to complete because the new "smarter" AI workers aren't really that smart. (avoid carrots)
Good on ya for saying what we all wish we could. Bring on the Mods and just think, it could be worse. You could have brought MSFS24 also...
Absolutely agree. Congrats on making THE BEST review ever of FS25. Thanks
I hate a liar, I have no time or patience for them, one thing I admire is an honest person, you fella just changed my mind on buying this, even cheaper with one of those keys, I subscribed and liked your video, and thank you for saving me cash. Cheers fella
You are most welcome.
Thank you for the first HONEST review!
Ultimately, I think their engine is weak?
@@SimUKReviews it certainly isn’t an upgrade from the previous engine. In fact I’d argue the graphics almost look worse overall. I feel like they did something with the color pallet to make it look more cartoonish. That aside, making a leap from one engine to the next I shouldn’t have to squint and really think if the graphics have improved to me that’s not a leap. Overall while I’m sure there could be a better engine out there… why can modders make very good use of the same engine giants can’t?
That’s what makes me think the giants engine isn’t terrible but the ones using it are simply lazy.
I believe (don't quote me) they may have changed their engine to be multi threaded (should in time be better for performance - but clearly isn't yet).
Yeah precisely. Apparently they managed to make it multi-core .... Did nothing with it, but THAT is what we are paying for.
FS series been built by modding community, 100% agree with every point made in this video❤ , great work bud 🍻
Much appreciated
i'll buy it next summer on the steam summer sales.
it's not a question about being able to afford it, more that it feels like a expansion pack to me so i will get it when it's around 35 ish.
i mean when we got the premium expansion for 22 we got:
New area.
3 new crops
35 new tracktors and tools.
So not that far off and i think it was 30 when i got it , but now it's 20 ish.
I agree. Where is the value here?
