That little side detergent thing is for rinse aid, not detergent as you said.

You forgot to explain about the 2 full-size spray-arms & the smaller spray-arm in the top of the machine, total of 3 spray-arms. Also... the rinse-aide dispenser is NOT a detergent dispenser! Remake this video, please!

2 huge elephants in the room in this video are that
    1. food is constantly getting stuck in the water jet systems and the water pressure is weak (adding to the quietness of the machine). Not only do you have to thoroughly clean the dishes before you use the Kitchenaid, you have to remove the arms and physically clean them out after each wash (this is after having thoroughly cleaned the dishes, which is a huge pain and time consumer. Notice how he didn't show any dirty plates being loaded and cleaned? Cleaning the bottom arms are a pain but they do at least remove from the central turner. The top arms are all part of one piece. It's a crap shoot whether or not the food will come out of those. We didn't have the 3rd wrack system, so we had to use the basket for tableware. Our normal sized knives would block the arms from turning, so we had to load all of them on the far end of the basket.
    2. It vents on the side and will warp and destroy your cabinets, which it has done to ours. Still trying to figure out how to proceed with this one.
We now have a Siemens (fyi, Bosch, Siemens and Constructa are all the exact same machines, just with different branding) and this machine is a workhorse and does the job. We never have a problem with food getting stuck in the jets and the clearance is not a problem for normal size table ware. It also vents through the top. The Kitchenaid is quiet, much quieter than our Siemens and that's the only thing it's got going for it. Don't buy the Kitchenaid. It's a joke.

Its the rinse aid that is calibrated, not the detergent.

I had bad experience with Bosch washer & dryer, so no go w them. We did go with Kitchenaid, great looking machine. My daughter lovers her kitchenaid. So far, so good. Anything is better than the GE Profile we had. Whirlpool makes good products as well. I’m expecting good experience w Kitchenaid, in spite of all the pro Bosch reviews here (maybe they work for Bosch 😜).

Where are the fans? Somewhere in there? I took mine apart and no fan. Bullshart. Round hole upper left inside door. Thieves stole the fan and left door blank.

I sell appliances. Kitchen aid is made by whirlpool. Whirlpool, buys parts from the lowest bidder. Look at their warranty. They have a clause that states “right to repair”. In other words you buy a kitchen aid dish washer and it doesn’t work they’re going to repair it not replace it and if you are left waiting three months for parts for a brand new dishwasher too bad. Kitchen aid better than Bosch is a joke.

This is so disheartening. You want to buy American made, but when you do, you're left with crap. Kitchenaid makes the absolute worst dishwashers.

Can’t speak for everyone but Whirlpool is upgrading me from my Maytag I got in March 2022 to a KitchenAid due to back ordered parts. My Maytag works but it’s a bit buggy at times due to software that’s missing and caused the sump motor to divert water incorrectly. Anyway - instead of waiting longer their consumer relations division decided to just upgrade me to a KitchenAid. I know four persons with KitchenAid and all of them seem rather happy with them. Hopefully not concerns with quality control like my Maytag (still owned by Whirlpool).

avinash s.m I always love a good conspiracy theory! The best ones are just like this - no data to back up the assertion! Is it possible that product manufacturers try to put in features that people want? And oh by the way, this is a higher end dishwasher. No one is putting a gun to anyone’s head to buy it. If you want something more basic, there are many to choose from. In short, I think you are 100% wrong.
