I've been a huge fan of music my entire life, been into everything from rock to rap to pop. Always been a huge fan of bands like Pearl Jam, Metallica, SOAD, Iron Maiden, and others. It wasn't until I discovered Coheed that I was actually inspired to get a guitar myself. Don't know what it was about them. So I did. Been playing guitar for about 5-6 years now, and I'm playing my first show (just a grad party) this Saturday.
I never liked guitar. But, I heard the song Everything Evil, and I really wanted to play it. Within 5 months, I self taught myself how to play guitar, bought my own, and I just recently learned to play Everything Evil. Thanks Coheed. Keep making your magic.
Claudio hits every note perfectly. He's so talented man. I'm still sad that so many bands or singers get famous when 80% of their vocals are edited in the studio. But C&C are pure organic. Perfection.
Saw them live in Houston a few weeks ago. Amazing. They did 2 sets, electric and acoustic. I have never seen a band put more of themselves into their music and play with raw emotion than these guys. So talented and fearless.
@pliskin100 I have to agree, that kind of vocal accuracy is rare. It comes from listening to yourself sing without a microphone. I've played the piano with vocals for more than 15 years and when I finally figured that out, I progressed more in a single year than I did in the past 10.
I like it more than the original. They're just an excellent band. The talent is there and they excel at any genre they like. SO i wouldn't look at it as a negative if you like one genre over another. they're just great,
@Knutkill Dude, why is the heed so awesome that the heed can play any song off of their albums acoustically and make it awesome? That's why the heed is so great, because the heed is like sex to the ears. That's why I like the heed. The heed is great and yeah...... poop.
@Knutkill This is what is called - cheap trolling. All you up-and-coming trolls out there "heed" my warning, this is a bad example... This is just down right -trying- to cyber taunt. It's not hard to work a crowed of idiots- even an idiot can do that.

There is just something about this acoustic version that just hits you to the core.
Just saw this comment, you have no idea how much I agree with this. I fully believe they are the greatest two lyricist and musicians of my generation.
whenever i close my eyes and sing to this i feel pure and utter bliss
i cant quite get my head around the timing of this :')
Every time I'm drunk this is what I end up listening too man this band is amazing

I really love the acoustic version, perhaps more than original. but that's a tough call.

travis is a beast when he plays the lead for the chorus playing that shit without a cut out. just brilliant
Sooo True! Coheed and Cambria is a one of a kind band! This song is on of my favorite from them!
I want his voice soooo badly!
Claudio is a gift from Heaven.
@ryno324 Actually Claudio writes all the songs acoustic then re does them into Electric and whatnot, its a very in depth process, much respect.
Coheed should do a completely Acoustic album of their greatest songs. Like this one.
That would be great.
vowel good idea! make it happen!
Simply Awesome. just like the good old days dam.
sooo amazing acoustic thank you for posting for the US!
I like thinking sometimes the lyrics are "This is not your playground this is my home. We were stupid and got old"
I hope they eventually record a studio version of this acoustic
They re-invented their own tune... Mad respect...
great voice!! man... good to have him around
oh how i love this acoustic version
What do you mean you don't know why they inspired you? They freaking rock that's why! Keep up the talent!
i love how travis holds the guitar so close to his heart
Seriously, I Listen to the Acoustic songs for like an hour+ at a time.
dude wtf are you people doing, stop talking about this and just listen to the fucking song; it's incredible.
Took me a sec to get it. I was thinking, "No she means the greatest hits". Then I was like "Well i guess that would be every track".
im gonna meet them at zia records on the 15th before the show, i hope they play this for there acoustic set
@Knutkill That, quite literally, made me HAHAHAHA out loud. Thank you.
Great Song!!!!I missed the concert in hamburg but next time im with you guys! :)
Here We Are Walgreens: Give me your oxy's! [/MichaelTodd]
gotta love the heed
Goddamn I love this shit
It's such different feel in acoustic
I agree, one year later
It took me until the second verse at least to pick it up too. If you have crappy speakers and can't hear the low E drone, it's even harder haha
That's fucking nice. Congratulations, man!
I love this shit
@AlwaysAbiggerFish
It's "this is not your not your playground it's my Heart" but I agree, I do the seem
It helps to go real low on the fret bored while standing...but i like the way you say it also =]
And I see Travis is going for the Heisenberg look with that hat, too.
I think it would be more than awesome for and acoustic record
@666bloodyxhell666 hell yeah im in!!1 Bout time!!
i'm gonna counter one of those dislikes with a like!!
@8BitPicklez *from Heaven's Fence*
Same For me they made me want to pick up an instrument and learn it so I picked up a bass and a guitar!!!!
@JoshuaLawMusic it's plugged into a speaker....
i like this coheed and cambria better
earfuckinggasmic. nuff said
what is the tuning of this song?..
@Knutkill why not? Claudio has ;)
@wibblefran Ohoho, touche.
@cjsk8r75 claudios part is syncopated in the verse, i get it now
Claudio Sanchez and Dustin Kensure should team up!
@Knutkill Why not? They've referred to themselves as "The Heed"...
@valhalla678 whos claudio?
@GodsentHellraiser its plugged into a speaker..
Is Travis playing a Dobro?
I adore YotBR, but this version sounds a lot more like old Coheed than the studio one.
@simpleguitar20 tune D and G a full step up...
E-A-E-A-B-e
@ElsweyrRising I learn something new every day... I have gained more respect from this band if what you say is true...
2 people thought the dislike button meant Dis-I-like
@666bloodyxhell666 I'm in... !
@Knutkill would it be more accurate to call them the kilgannons ?
@meegel Ah, sorry. Was confused there
4:46 - 4:54 just ruined my goodnight-song. i had a perfectly felaxed and kinda happy feeling...unless..
4:47 claudios real voice
@XxgoetfacexX Nah, life ain't bad, but the fact you feel you must express yourself in such a way is sad, too.
@Prologue2113 Your right life isnt bad, figures of speech are quiet normal, so is being sarcastic, but you can have the last word k. bai!
Same*
@blindreaper2009 I like you so many ways.
@meegel on Claudio's left....
@Knutkill Dude, why is the heed so awesome that the heed can play any song off of their albums acoustically and make it awesome? That's why the heed is so great, because the heed is like sex to the ears. That's why I like the heed. The heed is great and yeah...... poop.
Hear I am again
i didnt really like yotbr but i fucking love all the acoustic versions they do of that album
You know it's gonna be a good song when Chuck Norris is playing bass.
bass - big hands
@XxgoetfacexX Au revoir!
@thygod Too soon man, too soon. xD
@EviscerationK yeah you're right hahahaha.
@jonsamuthafucka thx.. it would be a big help..coz im trying to play this song..
they would have to redo all there albums acoustic then lol
@spensermorgan44 huh?
@XxgoetfacexX go ahead (:
@Jackwc3 perfect points well made but *whispers* commas, not comas.... totally different things :)
@666bloodyxhell666 never call them the heed and they can do it their god damn selves
lol @ the English drinking like the English at 1:58.
@666bloodyxhell666 DO IT.
2 people like reggaeton.
Awesome glasses. Not bad though.
I like how they all have beards. hahah :))
I like it, but in honesty i like the original version they did better, it fits the lyrics better to me. Very nice though
@666bloodyxhell666 dude... i'm in... we can use my van and my basement...
@GodsentHellraiser oh fail!
I prefer the acoustic.
@Knutkill This is what is called - cheap trolling. All you up-and-coming trolls out there "heed" my warning, this is a bad example... This is just down right -trying- to cyber taunt. It's not hard to work a crowed of idiots- even an idiot can do that.
travis's facial hair is tight
whats with travis and the art lutherie guitar? no more taylor for him? i personally like art lutheries better
