The myth if psyche and cupid was not greek ,but roman . Second it was written in the 2nd century after the new era ,so my religion was in decline and some idiot decided to write this pathetic story and people didn't care that much i guess .
But the story has many inconsistencies.
Aphrodite isn't jealous of anyone ,she knows she is the most beautiful and nothing ans nobody can compare to her ,the reason for her anger was that people disrespected her by calling psyche more beautiful or even claiming that she was Aphrodite, which is so dumb ,but anyways .
If something like this really happened she would have made sure to wreck that little nobody and the people . And here comes the 3 problem Cupid/Eros ,he betrays his mother or more like it adoptive mother Aphrodite/Venus . Which is something that never happend in real greek religion, because they are so close . To think he would fall in love with someone who disrespected his mother is unthinkable.
Psyche is a character who is very vague and shallow ,she does nothing and her role is nothing "goddess of the soul" 🤣🤣 ,from the union of Cupid and psyche it is said to be Hedone a daimonia of pleasure ( deimos and daimonia are spirit personification of emotions ,smell ,death) ,how would they produce a daimonia, it doesn't make sense .
