People often confuse nyx as the most powerful primordial god. The real answer is chaos/ kha’os, this being was the most power primordial as he was the first thing in existence, in fact, he might be the most powerful character in Greek mythology.
Shakti (Parvati) - literally power, Saraswati - literally learning, Lakshmi - literally prosperity/wealth, Durga or Kali (Literally destroyer of evil) etc. Forces for good and against evil, open to all to choose to draw inspiration from (not passively worship or pray), or not. All mother devis or deities that are never seen as dark, forboding, mystical entities or just divine balancing forces.
I dont think Zeus was scared of nyx but scared of the consequences of killing nyx . He sidnt want a war with primordial gods. It would be no war and even if the gods of Olympus was to kill one primordial god it would cause a universal problem to all creation

The titans were stronger than the primordials because the titans won a war against the primordials. The Olymians won the war against stronger, older titans than the ones who beat the primordials. It's literally not a contest. Zeus is described as omniscient, and omnipotent, greatest god ect ect ect. Nyx is simply not on his level. It's modern edgy fanboys who try to make her that way. No 400bc Greek would go 'Nah nyx is the most powerful god and she could easily beat zeus, hes scared of her.' There was a reason they worshipped the Olympians and were constantly afraid of zeus. @@josephmangano3261 Actually, one story in the illiad states that when Hera convinced Hypnos (Nyx’s son) to put Zeus to sleep so she could torment Hercules, he wakes up and tries to punish Hypnos so Hypnos runs to Nyx’s cave and Zeus fears angering her so leaves Hypnos alone! Just a little story that shows she had a ton of power that even Zeus feared angering her. She was also the only primordial goddess that didn’t get replaced in her job and still drives the night chariot because she had so much power nobody could really fill her place!
The Fates were the children of Nyx so I can see that Zeus could overpower them. But the proof is in the actions. Has Zeus ever challenged Nyx. He respected her authority but I don’t know if I’d equate that with fear. I think Zeus gets too much credit. He is all powerful but I would go so far as to say that Hades, if he truly wanted to rule Olympus could. And look at Demeter when she refused to welcome the harvest back and the world was dying Zeus wasn’t getting his offerings. So he’s not all powerful…

The titans never beat the primordials as they never fought and if they did put your source second zeus lays on mount olympus inside earth while nyx makes up space and was in the beginning and her children the stars are tons larger than the earth and typhon beat zeus he isn't the strongest and he never will be people always like to say zeus is in charge with keeping order but actually nyx created it by creating the light the opposite to her death as the earth can handle so many things at once justice ect and provide a source where it says the fates have control over nyx you just can't fathom someone being stronger than your daddy her prescence can bring dread and terror she also created the cosmic egg@@josephmangano3261
