That is one powerful beast of a charger. I have an older HiTec charger - X2 AC Black Edition - but, that's my "backup" charger (or, what I use when I need to charge 4 packs simultaneously). My current "primary" is an iCharger 406 Duo...although, those new G-Tech chargers from Gens Ace look pretty darn good, and, when they release (which I'm sure they're already working on) a high-power 'dual' G-Tech charger, that will probably become my 'new' primary/backup.

Hi, do you try the charger in DC mode? Does the xt60 from the dc off the charger comes hot?
You actually exceeded it's specs. It's only rated at 450W on AC power and you hit around 460. You need DC power to get the 1000W.
Yeah I gotta find two good 12v batteries to get that.
There's info on UA-cam on how to make a cheap 24v bench supply from 2 server power sources. (I check out drone vids too)
Was thinking about making one so I can parallel charge my 6s packs with my lil 500w ToolkitRC M6D in synchronous mode or a Toolkit M9 if I splurge & upgrade. But they still fall short of this beast by half & about 400w respectfully.
You should read what those Lipo packs can take as far as how many C rates they can handle. Dangerous just dumping max amps . Great way to burn down your house.

just got the hitek rdx2 1000 charger for my losi 22s and my losi mini to charge my batteries and also my futaba 7pxr battery pack and since I'm new to this is there any type of adapter cables I need since this charger didn't come with much ...
Any help would be great don't wanna blow up any batteries for my cars or controller
You’ll have to make one to use the xt60 output. I got one of those “octopus” multi plug sets and put xt60 on it for this charger.
have you tried using the discharger that you order separately? I have it but it only discharges from Port A and not Port B.
I have not tried that, I need to try this on a pair of car batteries to get that 1000 watts of power
@@ExocagedRC True that would be cool to test. I'm curious if mine is broken or if it's supposed to only discharge at high rates from Port A.
@@dsimms6 It only works on port A, however not very well. Storage cuts off the moment any cell hits 3.8 volts (non adjustable) and leaves the battery with too much charge for storage, and discharge voltage settings are too low (max 3.4 volts). Don't waste you money on the discharger!!!!!!
How do I charge batteries with ec5 connectors on this charger?
You need to have an adaptor that uses the xt60 plug into the charger but ec5 to charge your batteries
@Exocaged RC thanks for your help! I have spectrum s2200 charger I think this one will be my next. Awesome review. One more thing, if i use the adapter won't the balavewire coming from the battery be to short to plug in?
What about storage? Storage voltage isn't adjustable, unlike most other chargers, it's fixed at 3.8 volts, and you can't use discharge because the highest voltage you can set on discharge is 3.4 volts. Discharging with this charger is a huge disappointment!!!! Also did Hitec make it or SkyRC??????

I wouldn't recommend this charger for most people though. Most guys do not need this. This charger is more for the speed run guys.
Guys running the xmaxx's and whatnot can benefit from it. Charging an 8s 8000mAh battery at 1c discharged to 3.5v per cell would max this thing at 225w per channel on AC power
@SFL RC24 oh yeah for sure.
I know I use every bit of power my Hota s6 pro puts out on AC (200w 15a per channel) not bad for $150 charger. This one is limited to 20a total I guess.

Best charger? its a sky rc rebranded charger made in china by a chinese company sky rc. China makes the highest quality.
